The vibe was chill and welcoming as soon as I walked in, nothing too fancy but still really nice and comfortable. The staff were super friendly and checked in just enough without being annoying. The food was the best part for sure. Everything tasted fresh and actually well-seasoned, especially the seafood. You can tell it's not just thrown together--it had that real Mediterranean flavor. The portions were good too, I definitely left full. There's also a nice variety on the menu, so it's easy to find something you'll like. Overall, it's a really solid spot. We were looking to try a different restaurant this weekend, and decided to try Seven Seas. We started with a yummy roasted eggplant remoulade with tomato. I put it on the fresh pita and it was an excellent starter. We ordered the Caesar Salad - it was very good - fresh, green leafy lettuce - crispy croutons, a sprinkling of grated cheese, and a delicious dressing. Next up, the Crab Bisque. I lived in Maryland for 30 years and had crab bisque many, many times. This was the first crab bisque that wasn't tomato based - it was a brownish, creamy version. It was more like chowder - although when I looked up 'bisque', it most certainly can be creamy. I might have been fine with the 'creamy version', but it lacked any crab flavor and had no crab in it - not one shred. I've never had any fish soup that had no fish in it. I took a few spoonfuls and left it. My partner tried it and came to the same conclusion. The entrees came next - I got the Seared Branzino and my partner got the Shrimp and Scallops. The Seared Branzino was okay - there were bites where I had a very fishy taste - and it was a very small piece of fish. My partner's Shrimp and Scallops came with steamed garlic spinach and mashed potatoes. The Scallops were tender and cooked perfectly - they were in a delicious sauce and had a very nice sear. However, the Shrimp were tough and chewy - we were both very surprised to have one item (scallops) so good, and another (shrimp) on the same plate, that was so bad. I went to Seven Seas Mediterranean Seafood yesterday and had a bad experience. I ordered the branzino, which I've had before and it was delicious. This time, I confirmed with the waitress how it would be prepared, but what came out was completely different, filleted with a tomato based sauce, peppers, and onions. I told them that was not what we discussed and made it clear I'm allergic to tomatoes. I was told it wouldn't be a problem to make the fish I actually requested. Instead of remaking the dish, they took the same fish back, removed the toppings, left the tomato residue and brought it back out with the same side; including cold rice. After I clearly stated an allergy, serving the same fish with the tomato residue is unacceptable. This was careless and disappointing. If a customer mentions a food allergy, the dish should be remade, not modified and sent back out. read more

I ordered the lobster ravioli and it was watery, tasteless, hardly no lobster in it and not fresh or freshly made. My food arrived cold and the other items were no better. Definitely not worth the price and was very disappointing. I will never order from this place again ever. read more

Stopped in here because I was craving some seafood. Ordered the Red Snapper and Mussels in red sauce to go. The mussels were mid at best. Probably because I had some that were amazing a few weeks earlier at a different spot. The red snapper was pricier ($65) than I expected but it was very good and satisfying and it was also huge. The service was solid, nothing too crazy. I was surprised and impressed by the seafood display inside. I have been here before when it was a different restaurant. Went to Seven Seas because of the overwhelming number of five-star reviews, and I am honestly baffled. The experience felt confused from the start. Cafeteria-style plating, paper napkins, and very casual service were paired with menu descriptions and pricing that suggest something far more refined. The food itself was consistently off. Several dishes arrived lukewarm. The scallops were drenched in butter but never actually seared. The spinach had no salt. My husband's risotto was cold and dry, which is impressive for a dish meant to be creamy. The soup was described as a bisque. What arrived was a clear-broth fish stew with chunks of seafood. Not inherently bad, just absolutely not a bisque. Words matter. To be fair, the staff was kind and the kitchen did remake dishes when we raised concerns. We took the leftovers only because we felt awkward leaving nearly untouched plates behind, even though the remade food was still not good. Final note. We left the leftovers in the car briefly while running an errand and came back to a car that smelled strongly of rancid fish, despite it being 26 degrees outside. I chose this restaurant for lunch today because of the wonderful reviews and I was certainly not disappointed. We were welcomed into a well lit very clean seating area. There are tables with chairs and also booths. I had the flounder stuffed with crab meat and mashed potatoes with steamed spinach and garlic. I didn't really like the spinach but then again that's not my favorite dish. The fish and mashed potatoes were delicious. The food arrived hot and fresh. My husband had the Cajun fried catfish with french fries. He loved the fish. The breading was excellent. I chose to have the seafood bisque, but I think I should've chosen the salad. The soup was flavorful, but the chunks of fish were a little bit big. I saw another table get salads and they looked really delicious. We didn't have dessert because we were full, but there certainly are quite a few to choose from. I definitely recommend this place. Wow, everything exceeds my expectations. After reading all the reviews, I expect the food is good, but not THIS good! The food is fresh, delicious, and DIFFERENT. We start with grilled shrimps. They are different from any grilled shrimps we have had, and they are delicious. Then we have lobster mac n cheese, mix seafood tajin, and Seven Seas Steam Combo for the 3 of us. Everything's tastes amazing and fresh. Service is great and friendly. Don't be afraid of the pricing. We probably only need 2 entrees, as the serving size is huge! If you share the entrees, it really isn't that expensive, esp. for great seafood. We don't have room for dessert, but as we head out, we can see the dessert display and regret not getting something. Oh how fresh the fish is!! In fact you can see the freezer within the restaurant. I went during a week night and it wasn't crowded. The server was new but didn't hesitate to get answers to our questions and was friendly. The fish and sides were nice portions. Made fresh and delicious. Price is reasonable and the restaurant decor is nice. I didn't know it was BYOB prior to going so it was disappointing I couldn't have a cocktail with my meal. The first time I was there I got a trio with red snapper, scallops, and grilled shrimp. OUTSTANDING. Yesterday I did a shrimp boil with potatoes and corn. AMAZING. Mom got the shrimp boil with garlic butter - she said it was the best seafood she's had in years. Sister got stuffed shrimp the first time (10/10 for her), then shrimp scampi with linguini (10/10 again). The hummus appetizer was excellent too. We're all obsessed with this place. Portions are big - each meal I've gotten has been 2 meals worth. The trio thing was $31.95 and well worth it - the fish was sent from heaven. The shrimp boil was $15.95 -- sooo much HIGH QUALITY food. Wait staff is very nice, food is served quickly considering how high quality it is, and I leave buzzing with good energy because of how beautiful the food is. Such an unassuming looking building that is essentially a secret government black site where instead of having advanced technology they have the freshest most delicious most succulent seafood anywhere in the tristate. The service came fast and with a smile and you can see the care that they put into the food. How they caress the fresh fish placing it lovingly onto the bed of ice. Since I first spotted it, I couldn't wait to give it a try! I've only ordered takeout, and it's been spot on every single time. The first time I went, I tried the snapper fried hard, and it was perfectly seasoned and fried just the way I like it. I had a small dinner party, and the favorites of the night were the snapper, ronzino, Greek salad, mashed potatoes, shrimp (chef style), and that house dressing--it's a must-try! I stopped in with my Mom for lunch. We were greeted with smiles, seated right away and promptly tended to immediately. I had a taste for fish so the waited suggested Tilapia Singary which a whole grilled fish with onions and peppers and different seasonings, it took up the whole plate. When ordering, our server told us the kitchen was not prepared for lunch and a group our size, anyway, lunch menu is not being offered! WHAT! The only reason we stayed was our group size and getting a reservation altogether was not happening last minute at other places. Yes, we called. The food was hot and fresh. However I used a bit of salt and pepper to add a kick to the food, which made a difference. One dish, sizzling chicken and shrimp was too salty. Again, there were pros about the food (fresh) and cons (bland). Happy to say the majority of our party, gave a thumbs up to their meals. Granted we were hungry! The bill was over $600 (dinner menu only), our server was nice and accommodating. Management couldn't care less about the heat, although the thermostat was adjusted once. We brought wine previously and then we were told they don't have wine glasses because they're not a byob but since we were already there, they would serve us. I already thought, "Please, don't do me any favors." The food was not salted and was sub par in comparison to our first visit. I had the seafood soup, I ate a shrimp and it was so overcooked, it had a strange texture. Another yelper mentioned that they were treated differently in comparison to people from their community and I absolutely agree. The manager was warm and welcoming to others and we did not get that feeling or attention in combination for making us feel weird because we brought wine. I didn't feel welcomed and felt judge so we just got through it and definitely will not be returning. Every restaurant we have been to in this area, allows you to bring a bottle if they don't serve. Fresh Fresh Fresh! This is a great, new (8 months old) seafood-focused restaurant in Willow Grove. It is casual but clean, nicely decorated, with attentive, friendly staff. Alex, our server was kind, informative, entertaining, and made our first experience an extra good one. The gratis appetizer (a Mediterranean style tomato and eggplant dip) had us wiping up the plate with the warm pita bread. The seafood was truly delicious and fresh. Perfectly cooked, attractively plated, large portions partnered with ample sides. The scallops were especially large and tender and not overcooked. My bronzino fish was tender and delectable with a well-seasoned, crunchy crispy skin. The sauces were perfect accompaniments and complemented the seafood well. What a great meal! My wife and I went tonight for the first time and we were very pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of food. The grilled octopus appetizer had lovely seasoning with a light lemon and oil drizzle on it. I had the tajin seafood stew with fish, scallops, shrimp, and calamari. My wife had the branzino with spinach and vegetables. Both dishes were excellent and each was more than enough for two people let alone one person.
