I'm so glad my cousin suggested La Superba as the place to get together with 1st & 2nd cousins on 5/30/26. The food was fabulous, the wait staff & hosts were all top-notch & the assistant manager who answered the phone politely & professionally also had much patience with my many questions over the weeks leading up to our dinner. The staff made us feel welcome from the minute we walked through the doors. When the music began, heads in the restaurant started turning, looking to see where the beautiful voice was coming from! It was the icing on the cake that made an enjoyable evening, more memorable! Awful Experience .. This is my google review and included is the jerky owner's response. Avoid this place like the plague! EDIT: the owner responded and said I am not an honest person!?? That is a joke. They are dishonest - read their reviews.. so many have written about their shady bs of putting tip on and not informing the customers. I will make it my mission to slam this business all over now. Yelp, facebook, all other social media. Hey stupid Owner.. an apology would have gone a long way -instead you call me dishonest! We went on a Friday night a 6pm- We were a party of 4. It took quite sometime for someone to come over and take a drink order. Food was ok -portions meh. The thing that I did not like was -THEY ADD ON A GRATUITY!! We did not realize that and left a tip on top of that. I know restaurants do add a gratuity for usually a larger party but for 4 people! That is insane!! I would definitely not go back. Atmosphere was cold and uninviting, and food was just ok. There are definitely better quality restaurants - who don't add on an automatic gratuity for 4 people. I see someone else in the reviews also complained about that as well. How this place isn't Zagat rated is beyond me! I cannot stop thinking about the food I consumed here. My fiancé and I took the opportunity to dine here since we were dressed to the nines last night. I've had this place on my list for a while so I'm happy we made it in. We didn't have a reservation, but the restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived. There were a handful of customers at the bar. We were seated in an area where we had full view of the kitchen. It looked organized and fun back there. I ordered the Mediterranean Mirage cocktail, (not pictured) which is La Superba's version of a limoncello. It was awesome and served fast. To start, a basket of complimentary warm bread and creamy whipped butter with some sort of seasoning in it was provided. It was delicious! I enjoyed it. It was different than regular butter packets or plain butter. Of course we chose more bread as our appetizer, but this was slightly fancier. These crispy sourdough toasts were cut into triangles and loaded with wild mushrooms, creme fraiche and black truffles. This has to be a top favorite amongst diners. It was way too good and we finished the whole thing. I could've licked the plate. My entree was the Eggplant Rolade and again, this must be a crowd favorite! I couldn't believe how much tastier it was than eggplant dishes I've had at high end restaurants in Center City. When I say this was full of flavor, please trust me. This is a wonderful vegetarian friendly dish. The herbed ricotta and linguine were cooked so nicely. The linguine held up overnight and tasted perfect after being reheated in the microwave today, the next day. It wasn't rubbery! Finally, we shared the tiramisu, per the recommendation of our waitress. I loved it and so did my fiancé, but I'll say it could've had a bit more espresso flavor. It was fluffy and decadent, though! The quality of service we received here was top notch, there's a parking lot with plenty of spaces, and the music played throughout the speakers is pleasant. The lighting is easy on the eyes and it's clean inside. I have nothing negative to say about La Superba! What a vibe in NE Philly! Romantic vibes, totally fitting for a celebration or date night spot. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable of their menu. We had a few dishes to share for the table: Mushroom toast 10/10 Tuna tartare 9/10 Roasted beets and burrata salad 11/10 so so good Prosciutto and melon salad 12/10 bursting with flavors my fave Lamb chops 11/10 hooked perfectly and so good Seafood risotto 9/10 scallops were a little too overcooked but the dish had layers of flavor Rigatoni and pork belly pasta 12/10 another fave and my toddler loved it Ravioli 8/10 Dessert 10/10 unique but we were so full!!! After seeing this restaurant replace La Casa Di Lucia, the old school super casual Italian place that used to occupy this spot, I was ready to be a bit skeptical but was pleasantly surprised and had a great lunch here. Visiting the suburbs for the holidays and came here with my parents for lunch, it was a quiet day so we got exceptionally attentive service. The interior is warm but lively, with an assortment of wall paintings and well arranged flowers throughout the room as well as a beautifully set up bar. To start, we got the sautéed calamari which I think was pound for pound the best item we had - the squid rings were cooked just right until super tender without being chewy at all, and the lemony herbed sauce was addicting and went perfectly with the toasted bread. My dad got the mussels alla arrabiata which had a tasty not too sweet or acidic tomato broth and a few big juicy shrimp. My mom got the pork saltimbocca, which I don't think my parents really appreciated but I thought was great; the pork was a nice medium to medium rare, juicy, seasoned nicely and a bit salty by itself but paired with the sweet and slightly acidic couscous squash and tomato mixture underneath. I got the paccheri alla Gorgonzola which came with a nice portion of perfectly cooked pasta, a very rich and savory but not too heavy Gorgonzola cream sauce, rounded out with pine nuts. Overall, our lunch was great and although a bit pricy for the area, the food and ambiance are a step above most other local places and worth a try for lunch or dinner! read more

I'm already calling this the best meal of 2026! For starters the ambiance and vibe in the restaurant are top tier! From stunning artwork, to comfortable seating arrangements, along with a few tables that have an open kitchen view. The kitchen is clean and orderly! Now the food. This food belongs on Beard awards watch list, and honestly, you will not find fine dining like this in the suburbs anywhere else. Every plate is clearly carefully crafted and thought through with beautiful culinary elements in every bite. Anyone saying that this menu is pricey doesn't realize that anywhere else, for this quality food, you'd be paying close to double! The service team is well polished however, when I asked for a drink recommendation, they just went down the drink menu, rather than finding out my preferences a guiding me to a selection. They were very attentive with our water refills and any other needs we had. Overall this was an incredible experience and people need not sleep on this restaurant. This chef and his team are producing high end city level dining in the suburbs and I can't wait to go back! Don't skip desserts here! The chef is plating up incredible desserts. This isn't just cherry cheesecake or chocolate lava cakes. The tiramisu was unbelievable and the choix pastry tasted just like the old mister softer specialty!! We celebrated my son's graduation at La Superba. The restaurant is beautiful. We were seated right away & the server quickly came over and offered us water. The food was delicious. There were no complaints about the taste of the food. The waiter did an amazing job making the risotto in the cheese wheel at the table & the crème brûlée came with a fun experience. There were a couple of downsides. The restaurant was too warm. The AC needed adjusting. I got a really great NY strip steak, but it didn't come with sides. I think a $55 steak should come with at least one side. You will spend a decent amount of money eating here, but the food, atmosphere, & service are worth it. read more

Very kind & courteous, yet efficient & knowledgeable staff with and great food. I had a marvelous Veal Parmesan, and my wife had wonderful lobster ravioli entrée and we split an absolutely amazing eggplant appetizer. Everything was above and beyond excellent! First time here. Great ambiance. Our server was a lovely young lady. (I wish I remembered her name. Her service was excellent.) Wife and I started with the calamari with red peppers. Freaking good. Oh the drinks! I got the Philly Godfather. So good! Entrees I got the chicken parm and my wife got the Penne vodka pasta with added chicken and a mash potatoe side. Our food did not disappoint. There is an extra charge for more bread. My risotto was under cooked. Tiny portion. Bruschetta tasted weird. Tomatoes were bad or something. Got Caesar salad. It didn't taste like a regular Caesar salad you would expect at a fancy restaurant. Tons of cheese and mayo, no croutons and not even a hint of anchovies. Chicken parm was a bit overcooked. The place was beautifully decorated and created a wonderful ambience. We had a party of 4 adults. The restaurant was fairly empty for dinner. They sat us immediately and brought out bread and butter. We weren't all that hungry so we only ordered entrees. The bread seemed stale to me; almost as if they warmed it and then it sat. A couple entrees took about 45 minutes to come out and the rest a couple of minutes later. Like someone said above the eggplant dish was unknowingly spicy. My chicken parm was super salty with the bucatini pasta in a different bowl with different sauce. Gratuity of 18% percent was included in the bill. read more

We came early on a Friday night. We were in first customers of the evening & had very attentive servers. The food was a bit expensive but on par for a restaurant with this upscale ambience. We loved our salads that were extremely filling. My husband got grilled Caesar and I got grilled peaches with beets and Barada cheese. Our main course was the eggplant rolade. Although we were assured that there was no peppers as we have an allergy we found the sauce to be quite spicy. All in all a lovely evening! read more

The FOOD was great, awesome. I loved it, I ordered ravioli and it was the best, they gave out water that is purified from a luxury bottle. The service was also great, they were next to the table I was sitting at so if I needed something I could just call them. The ambiance, gosh it was perfect, they have clean everything, clean cups, clean tables, clean floors! The chairs are so comfortable, you don't have to sit up straight like in Olive Garden.
