A Geico policy holder hit my vehicle, and to have the repairs made I was directed to Severn Auto Body. After taking a day off to have my vehicle assessed for damages, Severn Auto Body wanted me to sign a Mechanics Lein. I informed them that this is not my policy and I would not sign a mechanics lien. They tried skirting the issue to make me sign stating that "It's just a Formality". I explained that if I signed a legal document that I could be responsible if Geico fails to pay or delays payment. The General Manager "Will" end up coming out in a very aggressive tone stating "If I didn't like it then I could leave". So, I left. I called Geico and they said that is NOT how they should be conducting business in their name. This manager and his employees have zero reason to be polite since they turn over business for insurance companies, so they treat you like trash. Sent my car in for body work. They damaged the rear interior overhead light. Which then needed to be then replaced. It is the policy of Severn Auto Body that you, the consumer, are not only responsible for the requested repairs but that any damage Severn Auto Body causes is your responsibility as well. read more

let me start out saying if this review allow me to give star just to submit I would not even given it.experience at this location my wife 2022 Tesla 3 was here for 4 weeks for a front bumper and fender repair. the job was self pay they got there money in advance before we actually went to pick car for deliver. Poor service in communication with the writer of estimate Garrett we didn't get total estimate until the week of delivery. all my years going to body shop I've never heard of that give customer or insurance company estimate the week of delivery had my car for 4 weeks and could have gave me a full estimate in a week to decide if we want them to do the job but final bill was the week of then they ordered a right headlight that need to be replace when I go to pick up car it's raining outside I go to drive away and that same headlight new is not on Garrett our writer says everything was working when I checked comes back with the car saying it needs to update for the light to work now I know Tesla a pretty hi tech car but please anyway there so much more to comment on this place. point blank I will never recommend this place to any of my friends and never will I bring my car here again poor customer service read more

I'm a little annoyed right now so this review will be not as thoughtful and wordy as per usual. If you don't want to read the rest, just please be advised that I would not send my worst enemy to this place. Smashed my car on May 28th and it was towed to Severn Auto Body. They fixed it up within about 10 days and did a beautiful job, washed it and cleaned it up nicely and they were pleasant to deal with. I thought it took longer than it should have to fix it, but it did happen over the holiday weekend so we lost 3 days due to that and they couldn't even order the parts until the Tuesday after the holiday. Anyway, I was happy with that. Got the car back home and immediately noticed that the headliner on the inside was all jacked up and there are 4 good size dents in the roof that were not there before. After several unreturned calls from Severn Auto Body and my insurance company, finally got thru to someone, brought the car back in, they agreed to fix the damage to the roof. This was about 6 weeks ago. Part was ordered but no one called to tell me so 10 days were lost there. "All they can do" is try to get it back to me ASAP. No options for a rental, no apologies for not calling to inform me that the part was in, and I've been lectured twice for not dropping it off on the 19th and bringing it on the 20th instead. I was out of town and got home late and my only option was to drop it off after hours and walk 3 miles home in 100 degree heat. On the phone they offered to help me with a rental or a ride home but when I was there and asked I was turned down. So I'm not sure what's up with that, right hand doesn't know what the left is doing, just trying to shut me up, whatever, but it's very frustrating, especially when it's not my fault that this extra damage was not noticed when I dropped it off. I'm trying to do all of this by myself and feel like I'm being taken advantage of. Not a happy customer as a result of this 2nd inconvenience and lack of communication. Bottom line: They did beautiful work the first time, but I'm very disappointed in the lack of communication from this business and if I ever need an auto body shop again, it will not be this one. UPDATE 8/3/11 - Still waiting for my car. Monday I was told it would be ready by Wednesday morning at the latest. Wednesday morning I was told that they're still not done and it should be ready by the end of the day. It is not Thursday afternoon and no word. They've been holding my car hostage for 16 days now and I could not be more mad. This is ridiculous. UPDATE 8/5/11 - Picked up my car yesterday (no one called to let me know it was ready, had to just keep calling them) and it looks great. But the sun roof does not work properly (it takes 6-8 pushes of the button for it to full open or close where it used to just slide closed with one push of the button) and now my radio does not work. Called the shop and they cannot get me in until Monday. Ugh. This is just the biggest cluster EVER. I've seriously never experienced such incompetence in my life. Please stay far, FAR away from Severn Auto Body. It's just not worth the hassle. read more

Took my car there for some post Irene tree branch damage to the hood and drivers side quarter. I found the front office guy Brian to be friendly and responsive. Good communication with the ins co and the work was done well and in a timely manner. Overall a very good experience. Hopefully I wont have to go back there anytime soon, but would go back if I have work to be done read more

The are very slow business I'm very disappointed with this people they got my car from 5/02/2016 and they tell me that my car will be ready on 6/10/2016 more then a month but that was fine but at this date I don't have my car yet and they keep calling me saying that my car it's going to be ready the next day and the next day I'm still waiting for my car. Fred is your guy and runs the shop down at Severn West Street. If you need any autobody work done in this town, he is your guy! He is honest, a straight shooter and does whatever he can to make sure your car is ready when you need it to be! Back in October, I had a nightmare of a situation occur to my civic. My poor car got a hard hit, from some lovely human who hit and run her in Eastport outside of Vin 909. My whole back end was destroyed and so was my peace of mind! Fred and his team worked diligently with me, answering all my questions, keeping in constant contact and helped me have overall calm through a stressful time, which was added on top of the most stressful time of the school year for me as teacher. I am so thankful for him and his team. Growing up with neighbors who owned an autobody in NY and having all car guy friends made me a pain in the butt to Fred im sure with all my questions, but he stayed real with me about the whole process and wasn't bothered by all my questions. I would trust him with my car for any work that needs to be done in the future (which I pray I don't need body work anytime soon). They are the best at Severn. Don't go anywhere else, they will make sure your car looks great (like it never got jacked up and they will use genuine brand name parts) and Cheryl will always keep you updated when Fred is tied up. I appreciate this business and I think we are lucky to have them in our community! read more

We had a deer hit our car. After having the car towed to the shop, we have waited over 3 weeks while constantly being told that "Sorry, we're still waiting on parts, it will be ready tomorrow" We have had to take off work multiple days and make daycare/babysitting arrangements, only to be told that the car was in fact, not ready. Would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Dude, where's my car? I was leaving town before my car was ready & the shop offered to deliver my car rather than keep it parked for the week. I told them where to leave the car. Great, right? Wrong. They parked it at another address. My car was towed. It will be $550 to get it from the tow company & Severn initially refused to pay, even though this is their fault for parking the car at the wrong address. I sat in their office for an hour and they finally agreed to get my car out. read more

The shop removed and lost important sentimental personal items that were in our car. I had specifically asked before arriving if I needed to remove items from the car before dropping it off. I was assured they would treat the things in the car carefully and respectfully. They have provided no meaningful response to this issue. read more

This is a great auto body repair shop. Fred kept me informed of my car's progress and it was finished within three days-even faster than was originally stated. They gave me a ride home and also returned my rental car. The car looks brand new; I was pleasantly surprised they had detailed it as well. I will recommend this facility to friends and family. I am not really sure why they have so many bad reviews-although they are all old, so this might be part of the reason why. I dealt with Deanna the entire time my car was in the shop getting repaired and she was super friendly, quick to respond and extremely helpful. My car was scheduled to be picked up on a Thursday and she called me first thing that morning when she thought my car would be late to let me know, but had already called my insurance and the rental car place to ensure there would be no issues. She was SUPER friendly and such a pleasure to deal with. They were beyond helpful, and my car now looks perfect. I would certainly bring my car back here again if it needs further body work. AND THEN on top of all of that-I got a thank you note right after picking up my car! Never had a body shop do that before. Extremely professional, good, quick work. I was WOWed today (1/3/17) by Fred.. he is a younger then me employee at Severn Auto Body, 1908 West Street, Annapolis, I went in for an estimate for minor damage to my 2012 Honda Civic I thought $100.00 tops. I went in and Cheryl (at the desk) was very professional and kind, she gathered my information and I had a seat. Fred came to me and we went out to see car. He looked at the damage by the back seat and stood up then said " I could way over charge you to fix this but I can't!!! He explained what needed to be done as I looked at him like he had 3 heads. He leaned back into the car and with in 30 seconds the car was as good as new! OH MY Goodness! Now That Is Customer Service to the Max! I thanked him, wished him a Happy New Year and was on my way, Thank you again Fred! read more

I strongly do not recommend this body shop. They take too long on minor repairs and always have excuses. Bottom line they suck

I was not happy with them at all,I will just list the issues I had and not go into detail because it would be a extremely long Post.I had a front end accident ,Bumper Radiator,grill and hood touch up.it took 7 days of sitting in there lot before they looked at it for a quote.they left the radiator off the quote even though you could see fluid on the ground,after fixing every thing they realized the radiator was bad also.it took 1 1/2 months to get my vehicle back,my rental car bill was 500$.4 times the lady at the front desk said my car would be ready tomorrow and it wasn't,either no clue or lying.when I finally got it back the engine light was on and the head mechanic blamed it on H20 sensors and regular maintenance even though the engine light wasn't on before the accident.there were old hubcaps and dirty rags in the back of my truck like they used it for a trash can or a parts running vehicle. They were completely unprofessional. read more
