I have been to Sew Hop'd a couple of times now and it's a really cool vibe. If you wanna grab a beer & time with friends, this is your place!! It has a really cool patio area outside & you will often see lots of dogs there. I've noticed at times they have events, live music, and different food trucks. A great beer menu for sure with plenty of unique choices. The service was good, always a friendly face when ordering your beer or asking about drinks. I didn't get great pictures of this place (the food truck lured me in honestly) but I'll be sure to be back & get some good pictures of all this place has to offer. Try it out, it's a great spot to meet up with friends!!

Stopped by late afternoon for a cocktail. If you like Hazy IPA's, Hey Hey Hazy is for you. It's comparable to Hop Butcher. Hung out on outdoor patio under an umbrella. Watched cars pull up for brews and the delicious smells of the Del Toro Street Taco truck. Service was good. Seating inside is nice too. The place is big and offers something for everyone.

Delicious and tastes like key lime pie (pretty sour if you like sour beers)

Just came here last Sunday when a band was playing, and we were able to grab 3 tables since there were 15+ of us. When walking through the entrance, there is a seating area and then a long bar straight ahead. The drink ordering area if you are not seated at the bar is at the left side of the bar, and you can either close the bill right away and order drinks one by one, or you can keep a tab open. It's nice to have the option. To the right of the bar, there are bathrooms, and to the left is another seating area (the one we sat in with the band playing). The second room also has additional bathrooms available, too. The bartenders were all very nice, and they had good drink options, including their own branded beer, which they brew themselves, as well as their own canned beer. My parents really enjoyed the bloody mary, but I didn't try it, though I ordered a beermosa after my sister raved about it and I loved it! I also enjoyed their Key Lime Berliner Weisse beer (which tasted exactly like key lime pie) and the Sew Blonde lager. The brewery themselves did not offer food options; however, they had a local BBQ restaurant's food truck right outside, and you were able to bring the food inside. It seems it is normal for them to partner with local food trucks, so I love that they support other local businesses! Overall, I'd love to visit this brewery again and try other beers, including their seasonal or rotating ones.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon on the way home from a birthday party. Sat at the bar and had excellent service. We were able to taste a few beers before deciding on what full pour we wanted. Highly recommend the And Sew It Goes and Treadle Sours Key Lime sours!! My boyfriend is a coors light guy and said he doesn't have favorite beers but the Key Lime is now his favorite! We grabbed a couple of four packs to go. We will definitely be back!

A great use of a refurbished old factory keeping a lot of the original characteristics with both outdoor and indoor seating makes it great for everyone.with 15 beers on tap you get a great selection too pick from

My first time here. They had some very good Midwest brews. I had a couple IPAs, a stout, and a Pilsner. The inside is very nice......Sew Hop'd is Located in what used to be an old dairy production facility in the early 1900's, Sew Hop'd Brewery of Huntley, IL shares its home with Union Special, a manufacturer of industrial sewing machines with a history that dates back to 1881 and which provided much of the innovation that served as the foundation for the American apparel industry. The industry was decimated in the early 1990's with the introduction of the North American Free Trade Agreement (copied from their website...) Very nice atmosphere, above average beers, and plenty of good times to be had here while throwing back a few with lifelong friends!!

    Oktoberfest and pinball!

Love Sew Hop'd! Beers are great, pinball is lots of fun... try the bagel chips! So good! We love the live music in the parking lot in the summers and the intimate music atmosphere inside during the winter. Staff is welcoming and kind.

Weird vibe. Beer is nothing outstanding. When breweries are popping every where you need to stand out. This place does not on any aspect.

What days is the fat tomato taco truck there?

Hi Michelle, Fat Tomato, Inc. is here a few times a month. They will be here Tuesday, July 30th 4p-7:30p and we will be hosting a Pint For Pint Blood Drive with Heartland Blood Centers that evening as well! It should be a great night at the brewery,… Read more

At closer observation, a small (?)3% plus charge for credit card that I feel had the bartender taken a moment or two could have told me about but she was all about talking as little as possible, I think. I could not catch her to say anything. Nothing particularly wrong with the service but she did not seem happy and was not terribly attentive with checking on people. Maybe they were all familiar faces that had no complaints.? So the food. I went hungry and came away full and with half a burger to take home with me. The other star delete from review is I ordered medium, it came medium well to well and was never asked how anything was. But tasty food. A nice local bar atmosphere and it was busy so that tells you something. I would definitely come back. The burger was one of the better "bar burgers" I've had, despite being a tad over cooked. I'm still in search of the best in the area though. The fries were ok, slightly battered or something and I'm still looking for the best fries too. Nothing extra, crispy outsides. Add your own salt. I guess I'll have to wait for my cholesterol results thought before the quest continues. Ha.

Busy but it wasn't crazy crowded inside. There's a cool patio so a lot of people sat there. After seeing the one restaurant was closed, we came in here and got seats at the bar. It can get pretty loud. There wasn't too much craziness though. Good prices. It's $5 for a basic cocktail like whiskey and whatever. As for the food, it's pretty basic. It's about $11 for the Soft Pretzels And Dips. The dips were cheese and mustard. I only tried the mustard, but it was reported the cheese was gross. The pretzels were okay but nothing special. For sure it wasn't impressive, but if we had to we could come here again. It's not like it was that bad. The drinks are good and the food is average so whatever.
