I ordered an accelerator pedal sensor for my 2010 Ford e350 Super Duty through OEM Parts Online, $310.20 as shipped by Sewell. The part I received does not fit my vehicle, even though the website showed that the part will fit. I initiated the return and was told that I would be charged a restocking fee of $46.53 because it was a special order item. First, I was never told that it was a special order item; at no point did any screen on the OEM Parts Online website show that it was a special order item. Second, they sent me the wrong part! I communicated my displeasure via email to Amanda Morales at Sewell Family of Companies, from which the part was actually shipped. Amanda was unresponsive to my complaint, stating repeatedly that I would be charged the restocking fee. This is, by definition, a deceptive business practice. First, to not inform the customer that it was a special order, and then charge a restocking fee. We took our Ford explorer to get it checked , because the air conditioner was not working properly and the sensor in the tires were not reading. After 2 weeks that they had it they charge 250.00 for the change of air filter and the diagnostic. The sad part is that when my son picked it up the glove compartment could not close , some part in the middle compartment was missing and the change that was there was also missing. Heaven forbid that you need a loaner car that your salesman told you they would have, then you should expect to wait 3 plus months before they can get you in. They will make 25 excuses about why they can't perform manufacturer recall service and if you try to get warranty work done, expect to be confronted by numerous creative reasons why almost any service is not covered by your warranty. But.. if you do manage to get your vehicle serviced, the service writers you encounter while picking up your suv from the service department will blow you away with their phenomenal customer support. The salesman pressured me into buying the car before I test drove it and sold it to me before they even inspected it. I had to take my 2018 F-150 in for a minor repair. When I scheduled, they were booked for the week, but they told me if the repairs were an emergency to me, they would get me in. I scheduled he repairs for the following week. The day before my scheduled date, I received a reminder call. When I took the truck in for repairs, they greeted me with a very friendly smile and were eager to help me out. They called me that afternoon to let me know they had to order the part. They called the next morning and told me the repairs were complete. I couldn't believe how fast this was completed. When I arrived to pick up the truck, a gentleman met me at the door and walked me to the service counter. That was june 5th. fast forward to yesterday june 9th and they told me there is no ETA as they are on backorder. SO I called my local dealer who told me he could have them tomorrow/which is today june 10th and they are $425 plus tax. So i emailed FPA-Sewell again asking for ETA as i could get locally in one day and miraculously, they were supposed to be shipped out today. Cool I thought. So I didn't order from local and figured I just saved 50$. So this morning I get an email from FPA-sewell saying sorry for the inconvenience but the part is larger and heavier than they thought so shipping would be another $157. Ummm, no. I emailed her back saying they need to honor their price that they charged my credit card for and also said to cancel the engine cover order if they cannot honor the side steps order. She emailed an hour later saying both orders have been cancelled and I will have a refund in 2-5 business days. So that's my experience with them. i won't use them again. Went in for an oil change, detail, and part replacement. They are so intune with only commercial vehicles. Forgot to put the cover on the cabin, filter, then didn't replace the oil leak pan as request but more than gladly charge me for. Then I checked the oil for a brand new truck after 10k miles and looks like the same oil. They charge me all and labor for the filter replacement in the hood was 20 dollars for a 30 second job, and 40 dollars for labor in a cabin air filter replacement they can't even remember to put the filter cap on for. Service person Mike said it was all done he was planning to screw me and I caught him now. Bought me car there great experience had Mike do my service and it was a little scam he ran. Was going supercharge my Mustang there after buying my truck but hell no now. They skip on the small stuff God knows what they will do to my engine for the Mustang. True big city mentality is all I see gong talk with our company on buying trucks with them and to move away from them and service as they don't perform it. read more

My husband just recently purchased a truck from Sewell. He absolutely loved his truck and was the happiest man when he got it. He hasn't been able to enjoy his truck because it has been in the shop more than anything. First time it went to Sewell shop for a mass airflow sensor that went out, then the second time it was for a fuel return line that failed. He didn't even make it home when the fuel leak was way worst after supposedly being repaired and he had to take it right back a third time. The hot side turbo pipe had to be replaced also. So he gets it back and the leaf spring snapped in half, leaving him stranded. My husband had to find a way to tow his truck back to Sewell. Again he hasn't even had it 6 months and maybe put 20K miles since he's had it. The truck was bought used with 35K miles so all together it has maybe 50K miles on it. Service told him warranty was not going to cover it and blamed him for the leaf spring snapping in half and left him with almost a $8,000 bill. He's been in a loaner more than his own new truck. We figured Sewell would investigate this from every corner being that it was sold used and under 35K miles on it when we bought it. Now his truck remains in the shop at Sewell broke down and they are not helping with anything. The worst part is we paid the truck off and it's not drivable. Worst experience ever and we will never buy another Sewell Ford vehicle again. My husband decided to do his own search on his truck and found out it was used as a service truck for Sewell and had been in 4 collision and we were not advised about any of this. We hoped to be left with some kind of help but all they wanted to do was swap him out of it and refinance when NO, the truck is paid off and it's been a horrible experience. He's left without a vehicle at the moment and we were actually going back to get me a new vehicle as well. Sad to say that this was horrible for us and we will not return since they did nothing for us other than finally after my husband getting very upset. That's when they are supposedly cutting him a check for the warranty we won't need or be using anymore but that does nothing for us when my husband is left with no vehicle. read more

They we able to fix my Ranger same day after discovering the issue could be resolved with a simple fix. The best part they did not charge me! My wife and I were blown away. The best service we have ever receive at any car dealership, it a shame we don't live in the area. Our LINCOLN MKZ, which we purchased with 10,000 miles on it in July has a defect in the lumbar of the drivers seat. The lumbar clearly DOES NOT air up on the drivers side as it should or like the passenger side. I purchased this car for the lumbar in the seat as I have a very bad back....fixing to have back surgery. My car is useless right now...cannot drive long distances due to problem unless I'm a passenger, clearly a problem since it's my car!! Nicole from Sewell told me the mechanic says it works fine, up to specs. I explained to her it doesn't work like the passenger side, Nicole says well I sat in it and it airs up and again I explained it doesn't work the same as the passenger side, therefore isn't functioning properly. This car has 20,000 miles on it now, is Sewell saying the seats in this Lincoln don't hold up and after 20,000 miles they're so wore out, and that's why the seats are different??? Nicole says she'll have the general manager look at it...three days passed never heard anything so I called and Nicole says my car is fixed and they'll send someone to return it. Upon it being returned, I deflated both seats and ask Sewell valet to sit in both seats and air them up as far as they would go...the valet said the passenger clearly inflated with more air and is clearly different when you sit in them. I have never heard back from Sewell on my lumbar seat defect & they clearly didn't fix the seat. I can assure they didn't even deflate both seats and sit in them and inflate because they would've known it needed to be repaired. So disappointed in a business that acts like they take care of customers and clearly don't!!!!! SEWELL DOESN'T TAKE CARE OF CUSTOMERS OR CARS...AND THEY HAVE NO FOLLOWUP SURVEY WHICH PROVES THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF WORK THEY PROVIDE!!! read more

They seem to take their time while charging $165/hr for labor. First, their labor cost is $165 an hour- Almost double the standard rate. Second, they just charged my wife $820 for a new alternator and battery, about $400 in labor alone. I don't believe for a second that it took over 2 hours. They said they only logged .3 hours for the battery, so 2 hours for the alternator? BS. Even a DIY using YouTube can do it faster. If I had known it would've been this expensive I would have driven across the state and done it myself. Also the mechanic implored to me over the phone how they probably couldn't have even LOOKED at the truck except they felt bad for my family, like he's some sort of hero. Not only am I never coming here (I'll pay for a tow all the way back to Dallas next time) I'm never doing business with a Ford affiliate EVER again. The salesman told me it was going through service and that it was set aside for me. Went through the application process and everything was set. Got a call yesterday (5/12/2021) asking for a deposit so the car would be guaranteed, I obliged. Get a call today (5/13/2021) which happens to be my birthday, and they told me the car had been sold out from under me. Absolutely absurd business practices at this location. I have purchased three cars from Sewell locations in the Dallas area and I did not expect this. Do not ever go to this location. Trust me, I know it's just a car and not the end of the world by any means. I stopped by the Service Department at the Sewell Ford Dealership in Odessa, TX, this afternoon. I need them to add some Freon to my car as it stopped cooling. The service Department told me they were more than two weeks behind and sent me to another scheduler to set up an appointment for me to bring in my '03 Thunderbird. I noticed another T-bird sitting in the Service area when I went in, so I didn't anticipate any problems other than having to wait two weeks for an appointment. The Scheduler lady looked me up in their computer and said the last time I had taken my T-Bird in there was in 2011. It hasn't given me much trouble as I take pretty good care of it. Then, I was told that she wasn't sure she could schedule my car. She had to check with the manager and would get back to me later. A couple of hours after I got home, she called and told my wife that they could no longer work on any vehicle that is ten years old or over. She said that they have trouble getting parts. I have never had such an enjoyable experience in buying a car. Then recently I went in for a tire repair and found that I had 3 tires that were at the wear bars. I was a week away from my next payday, so they arranged to take my post dated check and order my tires.
