"Let's get some Sexy Pizza" is what I imagine someone would say after a wild night at the club. The atmosphere when you walk into this place--dark and loud--sure feels like a place to continue the night. The strong smell of these pizzas baking is even sexy enough to attract people a block away. That's what did it for me, at least. Of course, in the time of Covid, one can only pretend to party while waiting in line for the cashier to take your order. Dining in is currently closed, but this restaurant seems like it's prospering with the amount of takeout and delivery orders it's receiving. I waited a little longer than I expected to get my special $7.99 order of two cheese pizza slices + a drink, but I guess it was worth waiting for the straight-out-of-the-oven warmth. Now, when I think of "sexy," I have extra curves and a little thickness in mind. So maybe it's just me, but when I opened the box to reveal very thin slices of pizza, I was a little perplexed. I'll give them credit though for the length and diameter of the slices. Thanks to that redeeming quality, I felt full enough and satisfied with my meal. I visited this restaurant out of the blue and I really liked it! I got the Slice Salad Soda combo for $10ish and I liked it! I ordered a Hawaiian slice with jalapeños and picked the house salad. The pizza was delicious! The crust was thin and perfect. The ratio of toppings to cheese to sauce to crust was perfect for my taste. Sexy Pizza was decent. We got a Sexy Sheikh Pizza and a pound of buffalo wings. We were quoted with a 35-40 minute wait time (for carry out) which seemed a bit high but we went with it. When we got there parking was tight so we parked at 711. We were able to get in and out quickly and service was nice. The place itself could have been a tad cleaner but that may just be a personal preference. The pizza was great but we only got 7 wings which didn't seem like a lot for a pound of wings but it was fine. I would pass on the wings next time but stick with the pizza. I also think their ranch is homemade which is a nice touch. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but I would pick it up again if I was in the neighborhood/ recommend it to friends. read more

Meh... I was excited to try Sexy out, but now I'm wishing I'd kept my money. For starters, they couldn't find my pizza order because it had someone else's name on it. Relieved they found my order and starving, I hustled back to my friend's house to devour what I thought was going to be the best pizza ever. Being located on the south pearl st, it is easy to assume that their food can be on a pricey side but this place is a jem on the pearl street. My fav is their Safer pizza. They have couple of their house pizzas and you can also build your own by adding toppings. Also try their bbq pizza too- very savory and addictive. They make their dough(yuuuuuum) and everything, you can even see the live show of pizza being made. Open kitchen. This is the funniest pizza place in town and def the tastiest! We the supreme pizza with pepperoni, spicy sausage, green peppers, onions, mushrooms and mozzarella. I like to add extra sauce but I am a saucy girl! The menu describes it as spicy AF but I don't think it is too spicy at all, you will see in my pic that I add chili flakes! Pizza is in the name, but don't underestimate the salads. The Italian salad has mixed greens, green peppers, green olives, onions, tomatoes, pepperoni, salami and mozzarella. My dressing of choice is Spaghetti Western, a combo of the balsamic vinaigrette and ranch. We ask for no olives on the salad because it is pretty salty. Funky ambiance with open doors to Pearl Street and tattooed and pierced dough throwers. I've ordered more than six times from Sexy Pizza since March. I absolutely love their thin, NYC style pizza and they have become my go to pizza place. I've also tried their garlic knots and garlic bread with cheese but wasn't too impressed with those so I just stick to the pizza, they never disappoint on that end. I can't speak to their indoor location as I've never been there, I've only ordered for delivery. The pandemic has delayed things so I order at least an hour ahead because it takes about an hour and a half for the pizza to get to you. I honestly don't mind the wait for how good it is. read more

Numbers don't lie (although people sometimes can), but maybe something for management to look at. Dunno if it's the food or the staff or both, but... Anyhoo, stopped by here late one night just wanting 1 or 2 *good* slices. Sometimes that's all the pizza you want. I checked the Yelp app for nearby places that were still open (I think it was late on a Sunday night) and Sexy was open. Despite the fact I've usually lightly sneered/ snickered about the name, I figured I'd give this location a shot -- have been to the one on 11th 1 or 2 times. I was relatively cheerfully greeted, and I asked if they had anything other than "just cheese" slices available; *they did*. I got 2 of those. They were the KISS, which according to their website is (cough) "SPICY AF! spicy sausage, mushrooms, & mozzarella" I got my 2 slices relatively quickly and headed out the door. Had a few bites in my car. Relatively sparse on ingredients, not really spicy at *all*, and...pretty dry. Not "sitting under a heat lamp all day" dry, but certainly not the moist combo of gooey mozza and tomato I'd been hoping for. Thin, but not the fun kinda thin where you can fold it NY-style and revel in the ingredients. I'm filing this away as an alternative to burgers/tacos/Chinese late night, but I'm not sure it's a favorable one. To their credit, their dessert menu does look pretty awesome (so do their actual full pizza choices -- I blame stinky horrible Grubhub for any reviews dealing with delivery issues, they are awful) and they have some fun t-shirts for sale and cool wall art. Ok so the first time I came to Sexy Pizza I didn't know what to expect but was excited to have another pizza place close to home. Upon arrival I ordered the Safer pizza, which is one of their charitable pizza options. We all know it's Safer than alcohol. 20+ times later I'm still getting the same pizza, yes it's that good. I also enjoy their slice specials too when I'm not in the mood for a whole pie. The seating is good both inside and outside and if you sit at the pizza bar the guys will often talk to you while they launch the dough high in the sky. When I was a little kid I remember watching the pizza guy toss the pizza and thought it was the coolest thing ever so I like that their kitchen is open for families and nostalgic people like me. The pizza is thin crust, which lends itself to a NY fold. The ingredients are solid and the dough doesn't have that bleached taste like cheap pizza. I have to recommend the 18" Safer pizza! I was thinking the other day that they could make the pizza box act similar to those birthday cards one finds in a grocery store that play a song. Imagine opening a steaming hot sexy pizza and hearing "I'm sexy and I know it!" I think their pizza is sexy so I'll be back for another date. read more

Tried so many pizza places in Central Denver area but still looking for a decent 'za. Sexy Pizza had reviews that seemed to fit the bill. Overall it was just ok. Crust was alright but no great, sauce was meh. They did follow my explicit directions for cheese on top, which was appreciated. My main complaint is the scanty toppings. Very little covered the pizza pie; it was a round of dough, dashed with sauce and sparsely covered with toppings and cheese. Not what I would call a GOOD pizza. I was hungry so I ate one third of a small. Tomorrow's reheat will include many add-ins from my fridge, especially more sauce and cheese. Will try a different 'za next time around. Ugh, this place was so incredibly disappointing. It took us 3 HOURS to get our pizza, the staff was incredibly rude to us when we asked what our ETA was for OUR food that WE PAID FOR!!! They kept pushing it back, one hour after hour after hour and would not give us any answers. They ignored us at the establishment and the manager was even there ignoring us. Ya, don't waste your time here guys. I'm usually so patient but some things just don't fly.... it's not worth it. My husband and I get the same thing every time we visit Sexy Pizza- two slices of Sexy Sheik and a beer. The Sexy Sheik is hands-down my favorite specialty pie they serve. It's pepperoni, jalapeños, mozzarella, and small dollops of cream cheese dotted on top. Sexy Pizza makes pie in my favorite style, super thin and wide cut slices that are best eaten folded and the grease drips down the crease. The crust is sometimes a little too crunchy to eat, but it's crust anyway, so who cares right? The shirts they sell are a hoot and the location makes it easy to find and to park. The staff is super chill and there is outdoor seating in the back, but I usually sit at the bar. I find Sexy Pizza to be the best pizza in Denver, and we always bring our friends from out of town here for lunch. read more

Decent little late night spot. I've come to manage expectation when the matter of food after 12 is concerned. I split the jalapeño and cream cheese calzone with a bud and we haven't stopped talking about it. The white pizza with spinach and mushrooms didn't disappoint. The thing I'm most great full for is the gluten free and vegan options are listed right there on the menu. Some of my friends have a ton of dietary aversions and "allergies " so this place feeds everyone gracefully. This is a great concept. Their pizza is NY style thin crust and pretty decent. They have nice beers, real cane sugar sodas, and nice salads. We use their Capitol Hill location for pickup and delivery frequently. They have good specials and good prices - so I would give them quatro stars for sure. But when eating at the South Pearl location we realized THE MUSIC SUCKS!!! The music really sucks :-(. Do we have to hear six (NO exaggeration) Creedence Clearwater Songs during one lunch? Some 1970s songs sprinkled amongst others is bearable. But we were transported exclusively to the hippy decade against our will, and tortured beyond recognition. I now suffer from PTSD, and can't return. read more

We ordered takeout during COVID and they were pretty busy for a Saturday night. We ordered a 12" Safer pizza and a large Buffalo Chicken. Pretty standard fare NY style pizza which was exactly what we needed. My gf loved the Safer pizza with a ton of veggies and fresh basil/garlic. As someone who loves buffalo chicken I thought the pizza was missing a little something to take it over the top. I think extra buffalo sauce and perhaps garlic would add to this, along with either some red onion or banana pepper. We tasted their garlic knots at the Pearl Street Farmers market and liked the dough and the sauce. That evening we decided to try out their full gamut and ordered a pie, stromboli and some other bites using the Slice app. After putting the order in we got a confirmation that was 15 mins later then the estimated wait time. I thought that was a bit odd but maybe they were just very busy. After the delivery time passed, I reached out to Slice support. They contacted the restaurant and found out that the shop confirmed the order never put our order into their system. So, 2 hours of waiting and we were without pizza. Slice's support person, Norah, was very apologetic, but the earliest (with no guarantee) the shop could try and get us our food would be 45 minutes. Given how late it was already, we asked our order to be cancelled. Norah was very helpful through this experience. I called the pizza shop to see what was going on. No apology, no attempt to remedy the situation, not even an offer to make us our order immediately and get it to us. Our only option was to place another order and maybe they would get it to us. Suffice to say we're very disappointed and won't be giving them our business. read more
