I was expecting good quality for the price, but I was presented with a couple of pizzas that I would never call large. 14"? Yeah right. The crust was disappointing also, adding to my dejection. I came across Denver Pizza Company the day of my planned Denver Deep Dish Pizza Challenge, while doing some last minute research trying to make sure there were no additional candidates to include. I had not tried Denver Pizza Co. before, and it was this lack of experience, along with somewhat sloppy research that led to my decision to include it amongst the otherwise traditionally Chicago style pizzas. (The photo lineup makes this difference pretty obvious). Denver Pizza Co. (as they will tell you on their Yelp page if you look more closely) does 'Denver deep dish' which is a fluffier crust. We found it to be sort of akin to Detroit or Sicilian styles, just round. The crust is an even thickness from edge to center, and topped with cheese, rather than sauce. It comes in one-available size, and you can order with pre-set toppings or add your own. The cheese was nicely melted and browned, and the toppings were dotted throughout. They have their own website platform and delivery service, which really thrills me to my core. I ordered the pizza to be delivered, and it was baked and biked to me (~2.5 miles) in under an hour. Our delivery person was super friendly, and did not at all pass judgement as the three of us were surrounded by 3-4 other pizzas at the time he arrived. While this pizza didn't really compare in terms of style, two of the reviewers felt it was the best pizza of the night. So I would definitely give Denver Pizza Co. a try! read more

The pizza was very good tasting the service was okay. I was not pleased with the way the beer is served but the group I was with including two 6-year-olds were happy. After moving to the Golden Triangle last year, I was pleasantly surprised to find this local takeout/delivery only pizza joint right around the corner from me. They're quick, generous with toppings & always warm! The staff is always polite too. My first trip was a thin crust customizable pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms & cheese- which was good & crunchy, not too saucy. Then I discovered they make a pan (deep dish) pizza & omg I fell in love! The 5280 is delish bc it's pepperoni, mushroom, fresh mozzarella, shredded mozzarella, & topped with their house 5280 spice blend.They make a great buttery crust & the toppings go all the way to the edge. I always get it uncut so I can cut it in little squares instead of the triangles like they cut it. Oh, and if you like wings, theirs are unbreaded- sooo plump & delicious!! So we ended up at the old location at first then made it to the correct one off Broadway. Plenty of parking along the street and across at Torchys so it was easy to walk over to. I guess since it's a new location they don't have much up so it wasn't really great to sit down with a group of people. I would recommend just ordering ahead and picking up or deliver. It just felt like a very cold vibe in the location . The people were not attentive which I personally like; so I only got their attention when we were ready and sat near the counter. It took about 15-18 minutes to get our medium pizza and my cousins slice of pizza. Also that slice is huge! We got the red rocks specialty medium pizza and I personally thought it was delicious and hit the spot. It easily feed the two of us. Now my significant other said it was just okay he felt it was too thin personally for him. The flavor was great just the crust he wishes was thicker. Then again he is from Chicago so likely why he prefers them thicker lol. Also found out after we could have gotten a thicker so if you like thicker just don't be afraid to ask! My cousin like his slice and was happy with the crust and flavor no complaints. The total for our medium plus slice and drinks came out to around 30 bucks. My friend had never been in the US before and his face turned red and he grabbed his things and walked out, mentioning he didn't realize people in the US were like that and asked if it's because of he's foreign. Idk if the two employees had an issue with each other or something and that's what caused them both to behave this way (wasn't just with us, I saw), but it's pizza. I received a free coupon for a medium pizza at Denver Pizza Co so my boyfriend & I went there for a date night on a Friday night. We ordered ahead on the phone just in case, but at around 8:00 PM, it wasn't busy at all at the restaurant. It's a super simple spot - literally just a kitchen with a bunch of guys doing their thing & making pizza. There aren't any chairs or tables to eat at inside so be mindful of that. We took our pizza right outside and ate at a stone table at the business that was closed next door, which was totally fine with us, as it was a peaceful street.
