The ambience of this restaurant is very nice. They have a fantastic outdoor seating patio and a nice updated inside area. We started with the guacamole which was fresh and well made. The chips are a little on the thicker side and the salsa was fantastic with a nice spice to it. Many of the items on the menu do not come with rice and beans, that is an extra. Unless you're ordering the combination plate or a specific meal rice and beans are not included as they typically are at a Mexican restaurant. The combination plate was OK is it could've used a little bit more flavor. The ground beef was not something I would go back for as it was very soupy and flavorless. Went for dinner with 2 friends last night. Two of us ordered the $5 margaritas which were, as expected, ok. I had the grilled chicken fajita salad without green peppers and it was good while the others had tacos which were I understand were pretty good. Chips and salsa were good, but delivery was inconsistent and we had to ask for more after the bowl had been empty. While the restaurant wasn't busy, I think our server was also the/a bartender so he wasn't around as much as he could have been. Overall dinner was ok. . . would i rush back? So we have been going here for about 5 years now. We gave a great review our first time because the Fire Mangoritas and authentic cheese enchiladas were awesome. But now every time we go there we have to argue with the bartender to put the correct tequila in the margaritas. I know it seems petty, but on their menu it says 1800 silver. Every time they try to make it with their bottom shelf. This last time we went one of the employees behind the bar said " we changed the recipe" but on their menu it still states 1800 silver. We even make sure we sit at the bar to ensure it's the right tequila. One of the main reasons is my wife gets migraines and dark liquor triggers them, the other reason of course is it's right there on the menu. I'm so sad about the inconsistency here. First couple visits were good. The first was amazing, the second was good, then bad, then ok, then terrible. I wish the trend wasn't going down. When they are good, they are great, and when they are bad, it's not only a waste of time, also money, and mental sanity. I really want to love this place so much. Have been going to this place for years. Always have had really good food, but came here again tonight, had a table of 4 people and got charged to have a 2nd bowl of chips and salsa. Had a tab of like $80 and they still charged us for more chips and salsa? Very cheap of the owners. This must be new because that wasn't the case before. I came here for dinner this evening. Ordered the 2 Mexican tacos. I thought it came as corn tortillas not sure if I confused the waiter and he brought flour. In any event I asked if they could do shredded chicken and he accommodated that. I didn't want rice so gave it to my husband. We had a nice family dinner in their patio which has some really cool display of unique plants. The waiter was very attentive and accommodating and refilled our drinks frequently. We love coming here. They make all of their drinks fresh and their food is so tasty. The restaurant is always clean. The food tastes fresh every time. I recommend this place to anyone. My favorite drink from here is the blackberry mint margarita. It's sooo good. From the appetizers, the jalapeño poppers and sopes are my favorite. Their steaks are soo juicy and tender. This place goes above and beyond when it comes to offering a variety of fresh food and drinks. They never disappoint and they have a high quality standard that is not seen everywhere. For dessert, their chocolate lava cake will make you hungry again after being full from the entree! The restaurant is also big so it's good for big groups. This afternoon I got to experience this restaurant. It was a great time to try this place out. The food that I ordered was a Blackberry Mint alcoholic drink and Nachos Supremos. It was delicious! I don't know what happened. We have been coming here for years and have always had a good experience. Tonight the steak and chicken in our brochetas was overdone and tough. We asked them to redo the order and the server told us if we ordered it again it would come out the same way! My daughter's shrimp tacos didn't taste fresh to her. Senior Tequila is always a great stop for Mexican food. The menu selection has a good amount of items on it and the environment is friendly with both inside and outdoor seating. This particular visit we met a group of local folks from work and the venue was very accommodating. We had about 10 people and the staff had seating ready for us when we arrived. The food was tasty as well. I had an enchilada, but I snapped some pictures of other's meals for this post - everyone said their meal was tasty. I enjoy that the fool is flavorful;, but its also aa just right portion size too.....its not an overly large plate, but. Yet they don;t skimp either. We enjoyed our time here so much. The service was friendly and the food was fresh and spicy as we like it. We weren't sure what to get so we had the Sampler Platter and so glad we did. Okay, so a fun fact about me is that every time I go to ANY Mexican restaurant, I automatically default to ordering a chimichanga. So given this information, I have begun a new quest for myself to be on the hunt for the best chimichanga in Orlando and will be following a specific template for each chimichanga I eat. All rating factors for chimichanga are rated based on the following factors out of a total of 5 stars and averaged at the end for a comprehensive score. The chimichanga ratings will be given based on these factors: Fried factor (crispiness of the chimichanga) - 3/5 The chimichanga could've used a bit more time in the frying pan as it was a little undercooked and the tortilla was a bit soft and didn't have that crunch factor that I usually crave. Protein - 2/5 Was a little disappointed in the protein (I ordered chicken) and I am not particularly a fan of the fact that it was shredded chicken as it made the chimichanga taste a bit soggy. I most definitely prefer bite-size pieces if the chicken is in comparison to shredded so maybe next time I go I will ask for cut-up chicken and that may change my review slightly. Sides - 2/5 I am disappointed that this dish only came with a side of rice and lettuce/guac/pico de gallo as opposed to the traditional rice, refried beans, and lettuce/ gauc. Cheese/Queso - 4/5 Came with a decent amount of cheese which is something I always appreciate as an avid queso lover. From the image I posted it is evident that the pate came out a little late so the cheese congealed a little but that is understandable since I was at a large party. Overall - The overall average rating for the chimichanga came out to 2.75/5 which is slightly below average. I did however hear that the drinks were good from other people in my party (didn't drink) but that is definitely a plus for some. I frequent this place often since it's close to where I live. Even though the inside is nice and clean I love to sit outside on the balcony. If you visit this restaurant ask for Ricardo. He went above and beyond to make our dining experience the BEST. I am so happy and satisfied with his service. Not only was the service great but the food and drinks were amazing! Complimentary salsa and chips that are actually good is a big plus. Then add Don ya Julio 1942 shots and cocktails on top of that makes a good start to your meal. My mother and I got two different tacos. The fish tacos and Birria tacos. The Birria tacos we're so delicious especially when dipped in the consommé. I could tell my mother enjoyed the fish tacos, I honestly wish I tried them! My daughter got the kids cheeseburger and fries and said they were very good. The chips and salsa were nothing out of the ordinary. The queso was thick and tasty. Always a win for a tasty appetizer. Steak fajitas were very tender. I wish the skillet was hotter to add the extra char to the vegetables and meat. I was not impressed by their rice. Lacked flavor Enchiladas supreme was very underwhelming. The sauce on top tasted like water down tomatoes juice. Lacking flavor and spice. The kids burger had a good portion size but French fries were undercooked. They were very firm. The sangria was good. Decent amount of alcohol. Overall, not impressed by our service. Food was lacking flavor and taste. If you don't like a lot of spice, this may be a good place to go. Extensive menu. Señor Tequila is a my go-to spot to hang outside for hours and talk with friends. (I have never sat inside.) Even on a hot afternoon, the covered patio feels airy and not stifling. The traffic in the parking lot isn't bothersome, either. The menu choices are outstanding and the prices are reasonable. The wait staff is always attentive and pleasant. The food is solidly good. I have tried many things on the menu now and none have disappointed! From steak to chicken to shrimp to fish, we have tried it all. The house wine comes in a huge serving! Quite upset been coming to this location for a few years and often I ask if the Rice is vegetarian that is listed on the vegetarian menu and both myself and famly have had it, Normally some rice has chicken in and given the multi times ive asked and for the simple fact this is on the vegetarian menu I did not worry. Last night the waitress told me it has chicken season in it. I said are you sure because ive been coming here since 2019 and ive been told otherwise and that it is on the vegetarian menu, she said it does and she will double check, she came back and said it does i asked then why is it on the vegetarian menu and she said most vegetarians do not care. I said they would not know they would assume since its on the vegetarian menu its clean. She just shrugged her shoulders and my family is vegetarian and I am vegan so this is a pretty big deal. Senor Tequila has been one of my favorite Mexican spots near the Seminole County area for some years now.I came here for dinner the other night since it's always one my go to Mexican spots.As I browsed the menu I was greeted to the usual chips and salsa, their chips aren't exactly my favorite but I do love the salsa and overall this didn't stop me from downing the whole basket of chips. I ordered my usual of Pollo Loco and it didn't disappoint. The food here always comes out swiftly and right as I finished my chips my meal was already delivered. The chicken breast is juicy while still having some char from it being grilled. If you like your vegetables more on the tender side these are for you, I like mine to be a bit more firm but nonetheless the taste is still there. The rice is fluffy and tasty but star of this is the cheese sauce. The cheese sauce pairs well with both the rice and chicken and is very cheesy and creamy. Overall this meal was quite good and I will continue to come to Senor Tequila for the comfort, ambiance and swift service combined with good food. read more

Being a winter springs native, I have been here several times when they first opened and it was just okay, so we hadn't been back until last night! There were SO many food options to choose from, I'm not going to lie, it was overwhelming. But I ended up getting what I know I love which was a burrito (plus the pictures on Yelp looked really good). My husband ordered the Brochetas because he's on keto so he can't really have anything else. But he loved his food and I LOVED my burritos!! The rice that came with my husband's Brochetas (that he couldn't eat because of keto) was so flavorful and tasted home cooked, not microwaved. My husband and I have been here twice and have had excellent food. This time my husband got molcajete and it came in a lava rock and was a huge portion of meat, peppers, onions, avocado slices and cheeses.. With a great sauce. I ordered the steak tampiqieno which was a ribeye steak with rice, beans, tortillas and all the fixings with grilled onions.. Great flavor and great portion size. My shrimp tacos were a bit salty for my liking but my husband's Molcajete was great. The shrimp in this was cooked perfectly and the other proteins were just as tasty. We typically go to a different Mexican restaurant, but were having a lazy day and wanted to go somewhere close. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and pets are allowed on their covered patio. It would be perfect to sit out there on a cooler night (or what FL would consider to be "cool", lol). At night the patio is lit up with pretty hanging lights. Upon walking up there is a chalk board out front with their Monday-Friday lunch specials. We were greeted immediately by the hostess and on the way to the main dining room every single employee acknowledged us, by smiling, saying hi and/or asking how we were doing. We passed by the bar on the way to our booth and both areas were packed. We didn't drink, so I can't confirm, but their margaritas must be bomb because nearly every table we passed had one or more on it..."Sunday Funday". Sarah T. was our server. She was attentive the whole time and super understanding (I'll get to why later). Complimentary chips and salsa were brought to our table as soon as we sat down. The chips were fresh and the salsa was a bit spicy, but not too overwhelming. We saw the manager waking around checking on the tables and asking if they needed anything. A little while after we ordered one of the people in our party had a fever kick in and we needed to leave. Sarah T. was quick to give us boxes, extra tortillas and chips and salsa to go. The staff was just as kind to us as we left and the manager was at the front door to thank us for our patronage. Now on to the best part....the portion sizes are HUGE. I ate some when I got home and then more for dinner and there's still over half a box full. The beef in the fajitas was very tender and was bursting with flavor. It comes with three flour tortillas (but as I mentioned Sarah was nice enough to give us extra so I had six...SCORE). I had a bite of the chicken tenders and fries. I notice a lot of places that specialize in other cuisines, but offer this item don't really use the best products. I don't fault them for it, but Senor Tequila is one of the few places who does it right. The carne asada was also very tender and well seasoned. Sometimes beans can be a little too soupy, but their beans were solidified enough without tasting like they were canned refried beans. There was also a nice even blend of side items. For example with my fajita order. Some of the side items I didn't care for so I asked if I could have extra rice and pico instead. At the other place we go to they give me the tiniest portion, even though I don't get the other items that are supposed to come with it. At Senor Tequila they hit the spot with providing me with an adequate amount to make up for the other items I don't get. We didn't get to stay for dessert, but were definitely eyeing the xango and chocolate lava cake so we'll save that for next time. So glad we gave this place a try! The food is OK - not outstanding. My reason for not recommending them is more customer service related. I came with a group of 10 for lunch today and asked to be sat outside as it was a beautiful day. There were very few people (4) outside and Plenty of room, both when we got there and when we left, but they refused to out any tables together and would only sit is outside if we went way to the back where they had long tables - but there were out in the open and not covered like the multiple other empty ones closer to the front were. She could give me no reason why she wouldn't do what I'd asked and then pretended to not speak English well enough to discuss it with me.
