Had Sagiv back a second time. A couple if things you should know. Even though the card says 24/7 don't expect a call back on a Saturday. When he does call back, he is quick to get to you. He's messy. Lots of saw dust and loose sheet metal screws on my garage floor. Also finger prints. If you've had him work, you know what I'm talking about. Had to borrow some of my tools which was odd. Don't have the kiddies around while he's on site unless you want them to learn to talk like a truck driver. I'll say this much. He gets it done. Your busted door will work when he's done. He's really good at kit bashing equipment together or fitting it into tight spots. He works the upsell a bit but not too much. I gave him 5* last time because he gave me a deal but the messiness makes him more of a 4*. Solid work and skill set but you'll be out after him cleaning up. I trust him too. read more

I called last night. Mr. Levi called me first thing in the morning. I told him what was happening and he scheduled to come out the next day. He arrived right on time and got right to work. He diagnosed the problem immediately, told me it would cost $95 and that if it didn't work he wouldn't charge me. He fixed my door quickly! Mr. Levi was so nice and didn't overcharge! One of the tension springs on my garage door snapped. I did the stupid thing and opened the door manually, which made the steel cabling come off the pulleys. Then I did the even stupider thing and tried to close the door, which caused the tangle of steel cabling to.. well.. get a lot worse. I called Sagiv around 6:30pm and said he'd be here by 9pm. I asked if he could do the work in the dark of night and he said he could do it with his eyes closed. OK. I'll pay to see that. He was here by 9pm, as promised, and was in good spirits. He gave me some good natured teasing about the cabling, but got to work really quickly. The dude moves fast. I offered him some scotch at one point and he chuckled but declined. That's okay. Not everyone likes scotch. Job done in good time. Great guy. I almost gave him 4 stars because he kept his eyes open the whole time, but I figured I'd let it slide. I actually contacted a local service, S&T Garage Door in Millbrae, initially, but got a call back from Sagiv. I had assumed that he was one of their contractors, but it looks like he owns a different (this) business. Not sure what their relationship is. I don't know if I caught Sagiv on a bad day or what, but my experience with him doesn't reflect all the 5-star reviews here. Let's get a couple of things out of the way - he is a fast worker, his prices are reasonable, and his work is good, I'll give him those. Came about an hour late, but at least he called to notify of the delay. I understand that Bay traffic can be unpredictable. As for the less awesome things: - Spent the whole time here swearing, which made it sound like something was constantly wrong and/or that he was begrudgingly doing the job. I asked him what's up with that, and he rebuffed me with, "is working fast a bad attitude?" He later lectured me about how studies have shown that swearing is good for health. Dude, I swear too, but I don't do it indiscriminately. - Stapled his business card on the drywall above my door opener without my permission while I was writing the cheque, so I couldn't stop him in time. I know I can remove it and the damage is minimal, but it's still damage. I'll recommend him for the quality, speed, and price of his work. I would gave -5 stars if possible. Most importantly, don't trust all the 5 star reviews. Because Sagiv gave you 10% off if you leave a 5 star review. I did gave a 5 start review before because of the discount, and Sagiv used to be very good in repairing garage doors, and very easy to work with. However, he recently hired a new employee. The new guy is very rude, not professional at all. Sagiv fixed one of our garage 6 months ago, putting 2 brand new cables, and 4 big screws, only asked for $300. This new guy, asked $429 for only one cable, nothing else. We talked with Sagiv, he agreed to charge us for only $300 as before. Then this guy gave us a used cable for us. After he changed it, we still feel something is stuck there. He just refused to do anything else, and shouted to us, very rude! He talked with Sagiv on phone in other language we don't understand, then Savig said let this guy try again, and pay him, if still not working, just call him back, and Savig himself will come back to fix it. This guy then put on 4 new screws in. But the door still not smooth. He became very very impatient, kept saying we delayed his other jobs, and asking for the check. We gave him the check. Then we started to contact Savig, he became very angry, saying: "I am very busy, I don't have time to talk. Do you speak English? Do you understand English? I don't want to talk!!!" Worst, worst experience ever! I read other reviews here, and found this happened before for other customers. If he promises he will be back when something goes wrong, he will never honor that and just hangup your call. Final note, don't be fooled by all the good reviews, they were for the discount. They are very very dishonest. And it you still want to choose SF Garage Door (or Garage Doors Services), make sure you get Sagiv work for you, at least he knows how to fix the door, not the new tall young guy. read more

I had a 17 year old garage door opener that was working sparatically. The car remotes, including the exterior keypad, worked once in a while. One of our cars has a remote button located on the review mirror. For the last couple of months that button became unprogrammable with the old opener. Sagiv offered me a Liftmaster belt drive, 2 car remotes, outside keypad, interior wall unit that had a separate light switch and he programmed the car button. I had checked prices from a different local company and Sagiv had the best price. Plus he did the install on a Sunday morning. Everything works great now and it is 'So Quiet' compared to the old Craftsman Chain drive. Sagiv works primarily in the Livermore, Pleasanton and Dublin area. Thought I had an issue with the lining at the bottom of my garage door letting critters in but Sagiv confirmed it was not an issue and instead found bolts missing in the garage door that made it unsafe. Sagiv Levi came out promptly to fix the broken springs on our main garage door. He was able to fix the springs quickly. A few days later our garage door would not close all the way, even if we had placed the garage on manual. I called Sagiv and he was not very responsive to come out to look at it again. In fact, he was very rude and proceeded to yell at me. When he did finally arrive, he was rude and accused me of tampering with the door. Long story short, he released the pressure from the springs and the door closed fully. If Mr. Levi ever gets tired of working on garage doors, he could teach a course in customer service. The torsion spring on my roll-up garage door snapped today and the door was jammed closed. Luckily the car was already outside of the garage. I wasn't in a hurry to get it fixed today and figured I would see if anyone would answer the phone at five minutes prior to 8pm on a Thursday night. Seeing the Yelp reviews, I called Mr. Levi. The phone didn't ring once and he picked up. Mr. Levi asked the problem and before I could finish, said he would be here in "45 minutes, probably less." I told him that it was okay, it was late and he could come at his convenience tomorrow. "No, I come tonight. Text me the address," was Mr. Levi's response. So I texted him the address. Never in my almost 40 years of life have I been told by a service professional in ANY field something so specific and THEN had it come to fruition. Mr. Levi showed up 36 minutes later. Ten minutes later he had the spring off, all the guts relating to the spring on my garage floor, and the new parts laid out. Ten minutes later the door was working and he was fine tuning everything he did. Mr. Levi then did an inspection of the door and recommended some minor, very inexpensive upgrades to make the door last longer. He asked me how old the door was and quite honestly I did not know as the previous owner had installed the door. He looked at me and stated, "It's right around 20 years old, maybe a little bit older." I then remembered that the previous garage door opener that I replaced last year was 21 years old. Mr. Levi knows his business inside and out. He showed up like Batman to a crime scene, was funny, knowledgable, worked his heart out, treated my situation like it was the most important thing in his life at the time, and did it all for half of what my neighbor paid for a lousy single spring. He wasn't even at my house for one hour and we spent ten minutes chatting at the end and I am convinced my garage door will next be worked on by the next owner or my children. I'll be writing Mr. Levi's number on bathroom walls and telling everyone I know to call him. I'm pretty sure I just had the best customer service experience ever in my life. read more

Last week my garage springs went out. Called Sagiv. While a bit hard to understand on the phone we were able to set up a day to come over and look at it. Don't let his phone presence affect your opinion. He was fantastic. He came over gave me some great insight on why I should not just fix the spring but put in a new garage door. It was not an up sell. He took his time and pointed out all the safety issues, etc. and still said that he'd do what I wanted, if I just wanted to fix the springs he'd do that. We got a great price from him and decided to do the spring repair but replace both of my doors. He said it would be done within the week and he'd call to set up the time. Sagiv is really a professional technician to resolve any kind of garage door problems. I called him and waited for his visit. Until he came to my house while he was driving, he asked me to try a couple of options to see if he could fix via the phone. Unfortunately, the 10+ years' machine was time to replace, so he quickly replaced it. A couple of weeks later, the door had a problem to close properly and I needed to retry multiple times to close completely. I called Sagiv at the last week of Dec. I have done business with SF Garage Door twice now, first for a repair job and then most recently to purchase and install two new garage doors. On both occasions, I have been extremely happy with price, service, quality of work and turnaround times. The first repair job I had Sagiv come to give me second opinion after another company had given me, what I considered, a high quote to fix some issues I was having with my garage door opener. Sagiv came out, looked at the situation and fixed my problem for only a few bucks--only because I insisted on paying him something for his time. He explained that I did not need any expensive replacement parts, just some minor adjustements. Recently I called him to come out and give a quote on replaceing the doors for my 20+ year old three car garage. Sagiv came by within the hour, explained and showed me the options I had for replacement.
