The wine selection is nice and it's a cool place to sit and pass time before a flight. One of the waitresses is very kind and the other one needs to be fired. The older lady that works there with the glasses got visibly upset when I asked to switch out a wine that I tried and didn't like (it tasted abnormally watered-down), and instead of responding to me when I asked if I could switch, she just shook her head and took my glass over to the other waitress and told her to "deal with" me. A simple, "we can't do takebacks" would have sufficed. The younger waitress was accommodating and let me order something else, but I was uncomfortable and felt unwelcome for the rest of my time there with the older one giving me the cold shoulder. She blatantly ignored me when I left and tried to tell her "thank you" twice on the way out. Please hire people with customer service skills. read more

Ok I really enjoyed this place. I arrived super early (no surprise) for my flight. I've seen this place in Terminal 3 before and always wanted to swing by. So today was the day. I perched right up at the bar stool and enjoyed 2 flights of wine. Yes I said 2! Totaling 6 wines to taste...3 reds and 3 whites. I had the Pinot flight and the sweet fare. Both were fantastic, well, at least to my palette. I also tried their sandwich with chips and some sweet and salty popcorn. Great selection of wines by the glass - and even bottles with screw caps that you aren't legally allowed to open up on the airplane (ahem, come sit by me!). A bit on the pricey side - but a cup of marcona almonds, one of their green salads with two avocados I had with me (my greens went swampy and I couldn't make a salad to bring) = awesome dinner (plus two glasses of wine) -- total cost about $50. TL;DR - Terrible service - slow and unprofessional. Being delayed by United Airlines is a given. Let's be real. Now, grab yourself a seat at a bar and drink up, but definitely not here at SF Uncork'd. We got seated after standing around for a few minutes. We didn't get menus or have a waitress attend to us until 10 or 15 minutes later. When we finally did, it took another 10 minutes to get water, before we could even place our order. I grabbed a flight of bubblies and a friend grabbed a flight of whites. Now, by the time we wanted to order food, it was near darn impossible to grab the waitress' attention again! No, the place was not full, no there were no people waiting to get seated... it just, doesn't make sense. The people behind the bar couldn't help us either. Now, getting frustrated, we just wanted to pay and wait by the gate... Everyone around us had a hard time paying too and eventually we had to go up to the bar and just give her the credit card. We picked up 2 takeout packages and mine was the fruit and cheese platter. When I ate one of the grapes, it tasted terrible and when I looked more closely all the grapes were covered in mold on the underside. I looked closely at one of the cheeses and it was covered in mold. I felt ill just looking at it. My husband threw away his humus and veggies (who knew what was in that), but I went back for a refund. They refunded the moldy food I showed them, but seriously....the food inspector people should go and check this place out. read more

I have been coming quite a few times in the past few years, however didn't always check in on Yelp. This time I was a bit disappointed, the glass of wine was poorly filled, they told me it's automatically filled but I'm not sure if this system works very well when you get to the end of the bottle. Same with the Lagunitas large mouth Mason jars which is supposed to be 16oz. Then the turkey salad came in a soup bowl size. I know it's an airport but they also charge premium for it. Terminal 2 has all the great stuff, but if you find yourself in terminal 3, this place ain't so bad. You can share a table or a space at the bar with your other travelers, and enjoy some beer or wine. They offer beer and wine flights, plus sandwiches and light snacks. I ordered a glass of prosecco, a glass of wine, and a hummus trio. The trio was tiny and expensive, but delicious. The extra pita bread is probably worth the extra dollar to make it go further. I had the clam chowder with the cheese melt, but it looked and tasted more like burnt cheese on bread. The clam chowder was good though! Not the best presentation, it was just thrown in a to-go box...which you'd think would be convenient for an airport, but waiting 20 mins for the server to bring our check kind of defeated that purpose. Terminal 3 may not live up to the high bars set by T2 at SFO... neither of which even come close to the food and drink options available at humble little PDX, but SF Uncork'd does an excellent job nonetheless. This stylin', communal little wine bar has a nice argon gas preservation system, so offers an extensive list of wines by the glass, as well as bottle offerings for drinking in or taking to go. Being that this is California, the mix is heavily Californicated with some offerings from elsewhere on the coast as well as international. I like the feel of the joint. Staff is laid back, and the types of customers hanging here seem to be moving at not quite the frantic speed that most folks frequenting the HMSHost bars are in. And when you're kicking back killing time with a nice glass of rosé, chill is what you want. The tables are a nice, warm, light wood with outlets built in to the legs, so you can recharge your devices while you're supercharging your bloodstream (wit' dat juice). I sampled a few wines while on an extended layover here, and plan to make this a regular stop to get my drank on before flights out of T3. Every selection I made (or was recommended to me) was great. The communal table/bar setup makes for some easy casual interaction with other travelers, which is a nice way to kill time. And they do have one lone TV, in case there's a playoff game on you need to catch. This is not the end all, be all of airport comfort, but it's a damn solid spot in an airport otherwise filled with... well... standard airport offerings. read more

My flight was cancelled for the family so I stopped by with the United vouchers and made use of them on a nice meal and wine! We had a great time and better still it was United Airlines dime. They let the kids sit in the area but on the other side of the barrier which was fine. They carry one of my favourite wines, Silver Oak and sell it for a decent price. Highly recommend coming here just to shop around for wines or have a drink or two before your flight. Reasonable prices depending on what kind of wine you choose, so won't break the bank too much. TLDR: For a spot in an airport, this is a pretty decent spot to grab a drink. If you're stuck in San Francisco's airport with a layover, I can definitely say there are much worse places to grab a drink at after visiting SF Uncork'd. Usually, when you grab a drink at the airport, you're probably paying premium prices for a mediocre drink. I don't find that to be the case with SF Uncork'd. While I cannot speak on the wine or food here, I find that the craft beer selection is pretty solid overall, and almost exceptional for an airport. I'm used to seeing the usual suspects (Bud, Miller, etc.) and maybe one local beer at most airport spots, but this place has ten taps plus even more bottles and cans. Fortunately, if you can't commit to a full pint, you can get a flight of three 4 oz pours for 8 bucks. Otherwise, a full pint will run you $10. At that price point when it comes to price per ounce, that really isn't too bad, at least not to the point where you feel like you're getting robbed. Since it is San Francisco, the beers will all be from California. You can expect beers from breweries like Modern Times, Anchor, 21st Amendment, Almanac, Firestone, and more. Service here is pretty good as well, although I was here for a beer at 9 am, so it wasn't too busy at that point. Quick stop before heading on a plane home. Went with 2 colleagues. Awesome little spot in united terminal in the "80 gates" . They were open after 9 pm. Service food and alcohol. Not super big place so make some friends and get cozy at one of the bar stools or the lunchroom style long tables. Food: didn't have much time to explore the menu, but I ordered the hummus and pita plate. It was so yummy. My friend ordered some sliders. ***note/tip: YOU MUST TRY THE POTATO CHIPS! They came with the sliders so I snagged a few off my friend, but they were fresh from the kitchen. Hot and seasoned, we tried to order some to go but the kitchen was closed.
