But I am compelled to do so for a few reasons: - the bars and food choices in the United terminal suck (until now) - the wait staff here pour generous portions, and by generous I mean I may be so drunk after 2 glasses of Chardonnay they may not let me board the plane The wine here is awesome, and I'm a wine snob. And while they may cost 10+ per glass you get your money's worth So if your killing time in terminal 3 and need a good glass (bowl) of wine come here. read more

What was the perfect ending to an unforgettable fourth of July weekend with my girls, having a flight before our flight back home - a flight of wine that is! As we walked towards our gate, we happily stumbled upon this place. After an intense contemplation, I decided on the 'DIVINEly drinkable whites' - highly recommended! My friends got different flights - so in actuality, we were able to try more than just the 3 wines which were included in our flights. We also ordered the cheese board and the cholatissimo for dessert - all noteworthy items I'd order again with no hesitation. Regrettably, we did not go for that second round of flights. read more

This place should be called "corked." My wife and I wanted to buy a special bottle for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday, and spent a decent amount on a bottle that we thought she'd like. Once it was birthday time, about 1,000 miles away.... the bottle was corked. Smelled heinous and was probably dangerous. So we poured it out, saved the receipt, and awaited our return to SFO. Once we were back, we handed them the bottle and the receipt. The response was unbelievable. "Oh, you needed to call immediately when you knew there was a problem." "Why? We were in rural Idaho?" "Nope. Can't do anything now. It's too late." "It was just four days ago. Here's the receipt. You sold us an undrinkable bottle of wine." "Well, er, um." She goes and talks to another worker. "I am not authorized to help you! No, you will have to call the manager." "Um. So take our receipt, leave the airport, and call the manager who cannot see our receipt and cannot give us store credit b/c we are no longer security checked at SFO?" "Yes." "Got it, okay. What a great place to just hang out & drink before your flight. It's a nice place to relax & unwind - the servers aren't intrusive, but are always willing to give you a refill, and they didn't seem to mind me messing around with my stuffed animal & making him pose with a glass of wine. Nice, small wine bar by gate 85 in SFO. Great wine selection - you can find decent wines under $12 per glass. Community seating except in the far back. Also had the Cuban sandwich which was fine. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. You also have the option of buying a bottle and drinking it there (for a corkage fee of course...) Definitely worth visiting if you're flying on UA through SFO. Just be aware if you have kids you're supposed to be 21 to sit at the bar or community tables. They have power outlets at the tables and bar. read more

I love layovers for this specific reason. Amazing wine selection, as well as a great variety of craft beers on tap. Got the cheese and charcuterie board, and while it was on the small side, it was enough for dinner since we had a large lunch before our flight. Best place I've been to in SFO. The wine selection is very large and I liked my glass of Chardonnay quite a bit. The highlight for me was the cheese plate - it had 5 types of cheese, healthy portions of each, and the cheeses weren't ordinary at all. There was a tiny wheel of Brie which was adorable, a cheese I haven't had before called purple haze, some hard cheese, and a goat cheese. The server was nice and prompt. Only in the San Francisco airport would you have a wine bar serving flights of wine in candelabras. How ridiculous...ly wonderful! I love San Francisco for this. That said, while the wines were very tasty, the food offerings were meek, and marginally passable. I would've given them MUCH higher props if they'd've just had real food on the menu. Don't waste your time or money here. The service is terrible and extremely rude, and their food and drink selection is nothing impressive. While we were waiting for our flight that boarded at 11:20, the waitress told us at 11pm that we had to leave the restaurant that instant. I was a server for multiple years, and I would have been fired if I had ever told a customer they had to leave, rather than just wait it out for a good tip. Terminal 3 had been crying out for better food and drink options around gates 70-86. Uncork'd adds something new and different to generic bar restaurants with the wine flights, communal seating and more sophisticated small plates. Prior to opening you could choose either the very public but multicultural food court or more generic bar food where seating is at a premium and space for one often means a longer wait. Uncork'd solves both these issues. If there's a place take it as the style is more chic coffee shop shared space than server managed tables. There's a comprehensive selection of wines covering all tastes and the prices are good by any standard and cheap for an airport given the better, non-generic vineyards on offer. The beer selection is also excellent so there's no reason not to enjoy a little downtime and relax a bit away from the hassles of SFO based travel. The quality is much higher than you'll get on the plane so it's a great option to spend $3 more for something you can relax and enjoy. The cheese and charcuterie plates are the pick of the quick food options and feature great selections which change. I've grabbed these things go and totally enjoyed them later. Check out the wine flights before your plane flight if you have more than an hour to kill or need that tablet or phone completely recharged. Found that despite the communal setting and recharge pod people are much more sociable and outgoing than at the gate seating. It's a sign that the wine and atmosphere work and that buzz isn't just because of the liquor. read more

Got up to leave and got a text my plane was delayed 2 hours, ordered another round and went to bite into my baguette I had bought for plane at place next door, was told I couldn't eat in their by abrasive waitress working at 3pm in Sunday 5/21/17. Best place to wait for your flight. I kind of don't want to tell you guys about it and keep it my little secret because the space is small. But I want to keep it open and in business too! Great selection of wine and flights and small bites to eat. It has coveted outlets you can charge up your phone or laptop. I love flying through SFO with enough time to stop in here - this is a great place. The wine selections by the glass have something for everyone and all the bartenders (Marilyn and Mindy on my last two visits) are friendly and attentive. I'm just doing my expenses for the end of the month and found that Mindy gave me a 10% "preferred customer" comp on my last visit - that's so cool! I'd be a regular at this place if it wasn't at an airport, and there's not many concessions you can say that about! read more

Wanted to love this place because finally terminal 3 is catching up to terminal 2. Our flight was delayed an hour, so we tried to stop in for a quick beer. Baby girl was fast asleep in our ergo carrier, covered up when the waitress walked over and said, "sorry we don't allow babies." Meanwhile, there are tiny purple kids seats and a four year old hanging out at one of the tables. I get it if you don't want to allow kids, but this is an airport and you serve beer and wine. So my flight got delayed not 1, 2, 3, but 4 different times so i decided to kill time with some wine. I got a sandwich from the deli next door before coming to uncork'd. After 4 delays I'm going to be rightfully hungry. They gave me a stink for bringing "outside" food. Although, I bought my sandwich "IN" the airport. Pretty ridiculous, finishing my wine and going to a different place to kill time. I might not look like I know any other languages but I could clearly hear the staff in their native language carrying on like I insulted some huge designer. ick!!!! Bartender closed early on Tuesday 1/30/2018. Flights were still arriving and departing before 10:30 pm. All other indicators on the International list the place open until 11pm. Imagine the discouragement walking into the only bar within about a mile of the far gates to find a bartender counting down her drawer, ignoring new customers, and rudely telling him that they are closed while other patrons are enjoying a glass of wine. Get the clue. You can't treat perspective customers like a nuisance or they will not be customers at all. Like this one. read more

No water refill, and the young professional woman next to me asked to move and then when they didn't offer to move her meal she did and the bowl of soup spilled all over - she was mortified and the staff treated her like it was her fault. Super classy casual wine bar in the San Francisco international airport. Great for a nice relaxed spot to get a nice quality glass of wine. I've had 2 layovers here to and from Honolulu. It's at terminal 3 near gate 85 and 86 in that area. Classy spot that reminds me of Oregon style bar. Very nice. Don't plan on getting a table by yourself it's communal. Also keep a timer on your phone so you don't miss your flight from catching a buzz at the wine bar. read more
