So I had to write this review because of the awesome experience I had with Dr.K and his wonderful staff. Let me start off by saying I don't live in the valley at all in fact I live in Orange County, but because I've heard such fantastic reviews about Dr. K. I decided to have a consultation for a tooth that have been bothering me anytime I ate anything hot. I had another doctor take a look at the tooth and he was uncertain and said that he may have to send me to an endodontist. When he said that I knew immediately that I would go to Dr. K because I've known plenty of people who had root canals or needed root canals go to him and were successful. What I really appreciate about the office is how accommodating they are unfortunately due to traffic I was really late and I knew that I would have to wait however they were able to get me in ASAP. Adrianne in the front office was so very understanding and just encouraged me to get there safely, which put me at ease. Once I got there, the assistant did my x-rays and Dr. K came in immediately to assess my discomfort once he found out what the situation was. He allowed me to make the decision if I wanted to have the root canal done or not, and I of course, went ahead and had it done. Everything went so smoothly from the financial part of it getting my insurance information and co-pays down to the treatment itself. He said that I may need two appointments, but he was able to complete the root canal in one visit, which took about 45 minutes. I'm so very appreciative to have found a fantastic root canal doctor so if anyone needs to have a root canal done I highly recommend San Fernando Valley Endo with Dr. K because he is fantastic great chair, side manner listens to your concerns and does all the testing necessary to assess the issue. Not many people have had the amount of root canals done as I have. Even though I brush, floss and water pick; I have always been susceptible to getting root canals. A few years ago I decided to switch dentist and endodontist. I was not happy with my current care and needed a new course of action. So my new dentist referred me to SFV Endodontics. I had a long consultation with Dr. Keikhan and he listened to all of my issues and concerns. We made a new treatment plan and it's been really great. So far I've had a couple root canal redos and a couple new root canals. Dr. Keikhan is very thorough and professional. I feel as if my old endo wasn't as thorough thus part of the reason that I had some root canals fail and needed some redos. The body will do what the body will do and a root canal can always have a chance of failing at some point. Getting a root canal and keeping your own teeth is a better option than pulling a tooth and getting an implant! Dr. Keikhan has been awesome and I am happy that he has taken care of me. I was referred to Dr. K's office by my new, equally amazing dentist. Prior to '24, I was under the care of two dentists (one for four years, then once he retired, he referred me to his friend in summer '23) who did not catch a massive cavity due to blatant negligence and obsolete technology (both took regular X-rays). As one can imagine, I've been quite distraught by the whole ordeal, and when it turned out I needed a root canal, I was in full on panic mode. Dr. K and his front desk staff were absolutely amazing. Firstly, he has all up to date tech, which was a joy to see, considering I had been with two dentists prior who used film X-rays (my new dentist uses digital, which is how he caught the massive cavity). Dr. K made the whole experience a great one--yes, a root canal was a great experience. I did opt for the sedation medication he offered, which was very helpful in keeping me calm, but how he is in general is pretty soothing. He's patient and thorough and makes you feel at ease. Please do not look any further if you need to have a root canal; I cannot recommend him enough! read more

I was sent to Dr. K as a referral from another dentist to try and save my cracked tooth before a crown could be placed. He told me from the start that there was only a 50-50 chance the tooth would survive but he would do his best. The reason I decided to go ahead with the root canal and not have the tooth yanked is because I really wanted to avoid the super expensive cost of having to do an implant. He also told me that if the tooth failed he would refund 50% of what I paid for his work. What?! What a breath of fresh air to have a doctor stand by his work like that!!! Fast forward five months. The gum area above the root canal began to become sore and infected and it was very clear that the crack in my tooth was too far gone to be saved by Dr. K's root canal and the other dentist's crown. I apprehensively contacted Dr. K and told him about what was happening and asked about his offer to refund 1/2 of what I paid. He immediately said "of course". It was such a huge relief to me since now I had to basically start all over again, this time going forward with the extraction and implant which will cost several thousand dollars. Ouch. It was a valiant effort by Dr. K and his work to save the tooth was fantastic. It lasted for almost 6 months! But most important to me and the absolute reason I recommend him is because he is the King of Endodontics and 100% honest. Thank you Dr. K and your crew! read more

I was referred here by my general dentist for a root canal. Dr. K is nice and the chair has a nice view :) Process was simple and root canal was painless and fast. I haven't had any pain even after several days now waiting to get crowned by my general dentist. One thing to note is that receptionist didn't like to be questioned by the pricing! I do understand insurance pays most of it. Considering I have the most expensive plan my company offers I'd expect that, however I did have some bad experiences with some of my previous dentists where I ended up owing more money than originally estimated just because they over-charged a procedure, more than what insurance would approve and pay once the EOB is written up... Five stars is not nearly enough to put for this amazing office! I was referred to Dr. K by another Dentist in an emergency situation. They got me in that afternoon! The unbelievable pain I was in was so bad I could hardly walk. The moment I walked in the door, they knew my name, did the basic minimal paperwork as possible and rushed me back. From the Front Office - Nancy and Anna, to the Dental Assistant, Michelle and the Office Manager Samantha, one could not ask for a better team! I mention them ALL by name and specifically due to their caring and professionalism. I do this because I have received guest service awards from hotels I've worked at. Horrible. Took my 16 year old daughter for her root canal today. When I checked in, I asked if they needed anything like my ID and all I got was, "I'm new so I dont know. You'll just have to wait." In such a rude tone from the lady with a full face of makeup. I was referred to Dr. K by Dr. Gal. My molar had chipped last year and I needed my first root canal. I actually booked the appointment with Dr. K before checking out his yelp page, and I'm SO GLAD that I went here. Before my visit, I emailed the office my xrays and Dr. K took his time in explaining to me my case and the procedure. He was so nice and comforting and attentive over the phone, and I am glad to say that ambiance continued into my actual visit. The office is very nice and staff puts you at ease. So onto the actual procedure - I am blown away at how it was quick and completely painless. I have a fear of needles and closed my eyes for the shots since I was sure I'd feel them but didn't even feel the prick. Like others said, the vibe is light and friendly. I was referred here and asked about their COVID protocol which is nonexistent. They don't wear N95 masks even as healthcare workers, only loose fitting surgical masks if at all. They also would not allow me to use my own small air filter in the office, and would not accommodate any of my requests even though I am immunocompromised and caring for my mother with cancer. The last thing I look forward to is a root canal. This was my second run in with decay and Dr K did them both. I thought that he got lucky the first time doing the job which ended in NO PAIN for me however this guy is the real deal! Aside from needing a name change he is not only technically skilled but has a staff that is unbelievably kind and efficient. I was in and out in an hour and for three days I have been unable to find any pain. I didn't even have to threaten him ("Were not going to hurt each other are we Doc")! All Dr. K does is root canals, so you would have to question his sanity, but in any event, you can do no better so get it behind you now. True professionalism from the appointment, pre appointment waiting room to an astonishingly easy, painless, and somewhat pleasant experience for my first root canal ever. I was scared and Dr K and his assistant's chill masterful vibe put me at ease immediately. The root canal healed quickly and I only ended up taking 2 doses of regular strength advil as aftercare. And the entire appointment for a back molar was 45 minutes total. Much easier than getting the crown done, although my dentist is excellent too. Top notch work for both. I'm thoroughly impressed by my experience with Dr. K!! I needed a root canal procedure on one of my incisors and during the initial consultation, Dr. K advised me to wait a couple of weeks to allow my pain to subside. It had been about a month already so no big deal...even though it hurt like a $@!!&. When I returned for treatment, I voiced my concern about feeling pain during the operation. Everyone assured me that I would be fine. They were right!! The prick of the needle for the anesthetic was the most discomfort felt throughout my time in the chair! -and even that was hardly worth mentioning! The atmosphere was very relaxed, yet professional. Information was given, concern was shown and we even joked about things. About 25-30 minutes later (at most), I was done, which was good because I seriously could've taken a nap. Before Dr. K could even leave the room, I asked if this was a paid internship for me since they let me hold a simple tool in place to take x-rays of my tooth hahaha! Huge thanks to everyone there!! Was referred by my dentist. Had ct scan of tooth for which I was charged 450 and for which maximum contract allowance was 207 and for which I paid 190 in another clinic for a different tooth issue. Then after doing a ct , the doctor started root canal, stated that root canal couldn't be done due tooth crack, dentist asked staff to refund fee for root canal(which I was asked to pay upfront before actual procedure). Instead of full refund I was given partial refund and paid 294 for palliative emergency treatment? Which I called my insurance and which is paid at significantly lesser contracted price than this fee and which the insurance covers. I had had many calls to office and have yet to get explanation as to why a root canal that did not occur cost 650 plus even with use of my insurance. It took a while to get refund of some of these charges. I asked my dentist to refer me to another endodontist in the area for another issue requiring root canal and was adviced that ct scans are usually not that expensive and are usually less than 200. read more

Beware! Shady business. Under the table referral deals with local dentists. A local dentist referred us to Dr. Keikhanzadeh for supposedly needed root canal work. Keikhanzadeh's findings directly contradicted what the dentist had told us, which made us uncomfortable and suspicious. We opted to leave rather than having the work done. One of my best friends is a highly respected dentist in Florida. We requested the x-rays from the dentist and forwarded those to my friend, who confirmed that absolutely no work had to be done. A known fact in the dental world about LA dental practices: There are so many dentists, orthodontists and endodontists in LA that they are simply forced to "create" work to stay in business. They will fill cavities that never existed, and perform root canals that were not needed. ALWAYS get a second opinion and only have the work done when both opinions match *exact*. If it ain't broke, don't let them fix it. In addition - the front desk lady had a serious attitude problem, even though we remained totally calm and courteous and did not mention any of our suspicions when we left. She was quick to type up a bill with bogus charges while no work was done other than a quick look and review of the dentist's x-rays. We could tell that the staff could sense that we were onto them and wouldn't be back, so they wanted to grab whatever money they could. Once my friend confirmed the scam, we called Dr. Keikhanzadeh and he promptly issued a full refund, seemingly nervous and very apologetic, which was all the more of a confirmation about what was going on. read more

Like most of people, I was terrified of having to get a root canal!!! I was told by everyone that the procedure is the most painful thing in the world and i was not happy to have to get a root canal. My past experience with dentists has not been too good. The biggest problem I have with dentists is their "fake" care. I got my dental braces a few years back, and my orthodontist was the perfect example. Every time I went in, he'd ask all these personal questions as if he really cared, but all he cared about was how quickly he can finish working on me, so he could move on to his next patient. My discomfort/pain seemed to be the last thing on his mind. Suffice to say, when I learned that I needed a root canal work done, I was reluctant to go see a specialist. But when my pain worsened, I decided to go see this dentist my friend recommended. My dentist took a look at my tooth and said that I needed a root canal and referred me to Dr. K. He said Dr. K was very personable and genuinely cares for patients' discomfort and pain. So I decided to give him a chance. The office was pretty conveniently located near the Tampa Ave exit off the 101 freeway. The office was also clean and had a friendly staff. Before scheduling my appointment I had a ton of questions and their front office girl was very helpful. They looked up my insurance for me ahead of time and called me back with an estimate. Went I got to the office I had to fill out a little paperwork. After a short wait, entered Dr. K, a tall man with a big goofy smile. He took his time and never rushed to start working on my tooth. He answered all my questions before the procedure and promised me that the procedure would not hurt. He numbed me up completely (the shot did not hurt at all) and throughout the entire procedure I had zero pain!!! I was watching tv the whole time and fell asleep for a few minutes even. Everything was done in about 45minutes. Dr K worked on me the entire time and got me out of there fast with no pain. Also when I called after a couple days to ask some related questions, I was able to talk to Dr. K and he made sure I had little to worry about. There are things/services I like done in the most swift, non-time consuming fashion, and there is dental work. I'd rather have my dentist take his time with me and see how sensitive my nerves and gum are, so it can be more tolerable and somewhat pleasant experience for me. Dr K mentioned that he only likes to see one patient at a time and even though he fell behind a little with his next patient, he did not rush my procedure. I overheard him apologize to the next patient on my way out for being a little late. If you're like me, you're gonna get cavities, and you're gonna need some root-canal work done. So my advice to anyone living in/close to the valley is, go see Dr. K if you need root-canal job! read more

Sometimes the best impression of a place comes because of things they don't do rather than the things that they do. This is why I am writing this review to thank Dr. Keikhan. I was having some pain in a tooth and my dentist was pretty sure that I needed a root canal. When Lucy Y told me that she had this pretty much painless experience with a root canal specialist and that he was really nice on top of that, I thought I better get an appointment with him before I move out of California. I had no idea if I'd find someone this good when I moved to NY so I wasn't taking any chances. Whoever I talked to on the phone was really nice and so patient. I explained my erratic schedule as I was trying to get everything together to move cross country and yet still come in here somewhere in between all my packing and moving. Since my dentist wasn't 100% sure that I needed a root canal, she explained that I would need a consult first to make sure. Since my schedule was so crazy that I couldn't schedule two appointments in the week before I moved, Dr. Keikhan agreed to book enough time after my consult to do the root canal if I needed it. Lucy had told me that Dr. Keikhan only sees one patient at a time, so the fact that he was so understanding about scheduling a same day consult and root canal was so wonderful. I got there and parking was easy, and they took me right in - because I really was the only patient scheduled at the time. I have to admit that because I had so much on my mind, I was focused on the tv in front of me when Dr. Keikhan examined me and even when he thoroughly explained to me what was going on with my tooth, so I don't remember. All I really needed to hear honestly was the most important part, which is that I didn't need a root canal. Yay! So instead of having to spend who knows how much on a root canal, plus get the work done, I walked out of there totally fine. And you know what? Because he was so kind and honest, if I ever do need a root canal I'm going to go back to him, even after moving to NY. Some things leave a lasting impression on me, and Dr. Keikhan did just that for me. That says a lot because I am not the easiest person to please. And yes, Dr. Keikhan, I will floss more from now on. Dr. K Rocks! OK, I guess I shouldn't be so excited about writing a review for a Dental surgeon, but I had a little mishap with a bottle cap last month, and cracked one of my tooth. I was recommended to DR. Keikhan by my regular dentist and my experience couldn't have been better. I am not very fond of getting dental work done, so I had my doubts, but his staff and himself made me feel as comfortable as I could have been. After my root canal procedure, I couldn't eat for three days, (nice to loose 5 lbs though), but it's been over a month, and I feel like I can start opening beer bottles with my tooth. DO -NOT -GO -TO KUROSH KEIKHANZADEH! Before I arrived, I called to verify how much I would be charged. Nancy answered the phone and assured me, MULTIPLE TIMES, that my insurance would cover the cost of treatment. Nancy told me that I would pay LESS THAN $100 dollars out of a $1,750 procedure. So I left work early, but when I arrived this dentist guy Kurosh Keikhanzadeh, told me I would have to get a CAT scan in order to proceed. Then I was told I'd have to pay almost $400 dollars for the scan out of my pocket! They knew why I was coming in before I arrive because my dentist referred me. Never was there any mention of a CAT scan or having to pay almost $400 dollars. Nancy never mentioned that. She clearly said I would pay less than $100 dollars. Then it got worst. The terribly unprofessional, rude and vulgar officer manger, her name is Vanessa, became argumentative and street like when I understandably objected to the surprise cost. It felt like I was at a janky used car dealership. It was a bait and switch. The unprofessional officer manager, Vanessa, made it worst with her horrible attitude. Talking to her was extremely stressful and nauseating. Toxic is the word I would use to describe my experience with her. Instead of an office manager, It felt like I talking to a child as she rolled her eyes and neck. Vanessa became angry, verbally combative and frustrated because at first I refused to pay what they were asking. But I was in pain and needed the procedure done as soon as possible. So despite feeling taken advantage of, I gave in and and agreed to pay the money. But it didn't end there. It felt like Vanessa wanted me to beg and grovel because she snatched the forms that I was signing away and continued to prolong the argument. I remained calm and composed but she would not stop looking for things to fuss about. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe I was standing in this guys practice and this weird girl was babbling on and on about how I needed to make her feel comfortable before I could get my teeth fixed. It was surreal. She told me she's seen many unhappy customers at this guy, Kurosh Keikhanzadeh, dentist office. I can see why. With staff like Vanessa managing the desk I'm surprised their are any customers at all. I've already filed a complaint with the Dental Board of California. I advise you to STAY AWAY from the dental practice of Kurosh Keikhanzadeh. read more

Having to re-do a root canal is not fun or something anyone would look forward to. I have to say that after visiting Dr. K and having him re-do my root canal I am confident that I couldn't have chosen a better endodontist. The whole procedure (over 2 separate visits) was painless. He is magical. His whole staff is also very welcoming and that makes a big difference. Not to mention, his office is beautiful. I feel lucky to have gone to Dr. K.
