It wasn't the best I've had and not the worst. The funny thing is I brought half the of it home because the portions are huge and it tasted better the next day. Your dinner includes a small salad, it was delicious and I used their house Italian dressing which was really tangy and yummy. My favorite thing though were their rolls. I swear I could just eaten about 12 of those! They bring you oil and vinegar for dipping and it was hard to not just drink it with every bite of those delicious rolls. In fact I'm going to call their Salt Lake Location and ask if they sell them separately. They were that good. Unfortunately, my recent experience at the Layton location was very disappointing. We were seated in an area that was quiet and pleasant, but it seemed that no one knew we were there. We waited a long time for someone to come to our table and even went to the front to let them know we were waiting for service. When our server finally came, she apologized and explained that no one had told her we had been seated. After that, she took our order and brought the soup and salad. I was very hungry, but the wait for the entrée was also unusually long. By the time my food arrived, I was already quite full from the soup and bread and could only eat a small amount. Unfortunately, the delays continued after the meal. I paid the check at the table and then waited a long time for water and boxes for my leftovers. We were actually getting quite cold sitting there waiting. Eventually, the woman who had seated us walked by, and I asked her for boxes. What bothered me most was that there was no real apology for the repeated delays. When I asked for a mint, she looked at me like I was asking for gold. I was given one mint. That may seem like a small thing, but Olive Garden has always been known for those little generous touches that make customers feel appreciated, so it was especially disappointing. I love Olive Garden's food, and I have had many good experiences at other times. I'm sharing this because I hope management will take this feedback seriously.
