Kenta Bond, the owner of this shop is a man of high integrity. He also is a master of customer service. I call him a dinosaur because, even though he is a rather young person, he provides "old time" customer service. His pricing is extremely competitive - better than many - and he truly cares about his customers. The other day he stayed late to make sure my car repair was complete. It was not a simple repair. The car needed an axle. The parts supply house was very late getting him the needed part so Mr. Bond actually got in his car and went to the supply house and picked up the part himself. That pushed the repair completion time back. However, Mr. Bond stayed about an hour past usual closing time to get the job done for me. He does high quality work and is an absolute pleasure to deal with. Please help support this small local business. He needs the support far more than the big chain repair shops in the area and his price markups are far less than theirs!

Took my car to capital tech for a leaking water pump. James did this work on his own time which…read moreinvolved changing the water pump as well as the timing chains and tensioners. About 2 weeks later the car developed an oil leak from the area of the crankshaft seal and or the timing cover as well as the front valve cover gasket, all of which he had to change. I paid James 900 dollars cash and I supplied the parts needed to do the job. Now after 2 weeks of text messages and 2 or 3 phone calls to my place of employment, James said he has not forgot about me. I have now taken the vehicle to another mechanic for the repairs. This review is not about Capital Tech itself but the mechanic. I am expecting these repairs to cost another 300 to 500 dollars on top of the almost 1600 parts and labor already spent. 2 hours ago recently…read moregot 4 new tires from this establishment 40 days later unfortunately had to return due to a defective tire. still within the 90 day warranty, frustrating experience with the service manager. it is standard industry practice to cross-switch front tires to diagnose a steering pull when the pull changes directions with the tire swap it conforms a defective tire. the manager refused to accept this, amd tried to blame the alignment using the post-swap alignment data against me, if the management doesnt understand fundamental tire troubleshooting, i cant trust him with my vehicle. i was also told i was getting a new tire on 8/31/26 when i took the car in i waited 4 hrs later and no new tire was put on & i had to switch the tire bad belts to the back of the car so the front end pull would stop

Consider me a fan. I…read moreknow nothing about cars. Well, almost nothing. What I do know is who to trust. And I trust Steve at Larry's Foreign Auto. Years ago, he told me to bring my Mazda5 to Watkins Spring for an alignment. And I did that. It was easy to schedule an appointment. The work was done as promised. The price was as quoted. And instead of sticking around the waiting room, I found some tasty things to eat on Central Avenue. The only tricky part is figuring out where to leave the car when pulling around back. This most recent visit I clearly walked through the wrong door, and had to snake my way through the shop before getting to the office. It was fascinating to see all the trucks up on lifts, and all the mechanics doing their thing. Even though I know nothing about cars, specialized tools are still very cool. This last visit, they didn't even charge me full freight because it turned out the issue I was having wasn't actually an alignment problem. My alignment was fine. At least it wasn't Steve who told me to bring it in this time, this was my own instinct. Like I said, I know nothing about cars. It turned out when I brought the car back to Steve, the problem was with the rear tire. Something about some busted interior cables that made the round wheel more egg shaped? I don't know. All I know is that it's now fixed. And should I ever suspect my alignment is off again, I'm going to bring the car to Watkins Spring.

Their job is to sell additional services, but I never felt any pressure to say yes. Keep an eye on your maintenance records. Here's the secret. Go after 4:00 pm and the line is short to nonexistent and I think the guys are ready to go home so perhaps they work a little quicker? Idk. Use the coupons they send you or you can find them online. I personally find that if you talk to the techs like they're people, they're friendly. Shocker for some people I know. I also don't want to discredit reviewers who complain about poor/bad service because I'm sure it's happened. If I have one complaint. They do ask for too much for new cabin filters so learn to do that on your own. But at least they show me when I need to replace it.

Scam alert! I went in for a simple inspection, and since it had been raining all week, I'd been…read moreusing my wipers with no issues. The inspector claimed my wipers were "torn" and refused to pass the inspection unless I bought new ones from them. Because it was the only day I could make it in, I reluctantly agreed, even though I knew my wipers were fine. If they were actually torn, I would have noticed right away, as I can't stand the silicone flapping, and I could have replaced them myself easily. Instead, I ended up paying over $100 including the state inspection fee ($21) and wasting more than 3 hours for something that didn't even need fixing. Total rip-off. As a woman coming in alone, it really felt like they took advantage of me being an easy target.
