Came here on a Saturday around 1 pm. Not super busy got and was seated immediately. Friendly and fast service. There is cute decor, but the place gets very loud. Not great for conversations. Ordered the shrimp skillet. Super flavorful and good portion size. The shrimp was tender, chorizo was plentiful, and the grits were not super cheesy to my liking. Visited an out of town Shack location and very pleased! There was not a long line or wait and actually greeted promptly and then seated! This location was large and very clean in the dining area with plenty of open seating. Our choices for our breakfast included the chorizo omelet and breakfast tacos (one chorizo and one steak). The omelet was very flavorful with plenty of chorizo and spice! The chorizo taco was superb to the steak taco. The steak was bland and seemed without seasoning/flavor. Hashbrowns great and crispy! I was surprised that we only had a 15 minute wait for a party of 6 on a Sunday morning. Good/bad, we were seated in a small nook to the left when you walk in. It was a quiet and secluded so good for conversation, but on the dark side and not top of mind for service. Service was as expected at any business restaurant at that time. Hashbrowns were on the crispy side and served with every meal. In addition to English muffin you can substitute for another carb. I got the biscuit which was the size of a small pancake in diameter, good and fluffy and you could tell fresh. All the food was excellent. Sausage stood out as well as the waffles which were cooked crispy and not dry like they normally are. My steak and cheese omelette was topped with "shack cheese" -hmmm, orange and a zesty "no idea what it was" kick to it. It sat well with me and didn't talk back. Will definitely return. I never knew this place was here until my girlfriend told me about it and I'm thankful she did. The food here is amazing. The portion size for the food is hefty which will definitely leave you feeling full, and the staff here is good. I like how the menu has funny naming conventions as well. I ordered the Country Fried Steak, and it's the best I've had anywhere. It's crunchy, delicious, and pairs perfectly with the gravy. The eggs were cooked good as well. The first time I came here, the hash browns were very buttery, which upset my stomach, but the second time, I ordered them with light butter and extra crispy, and they were perfect. I ate here yesterday with my family. We chose it because they have safe gluten free choices. I ordered the shrimp and grits, but when it came to the table, it had scrambled eggs on it. THAT was not in the description. Then I started digging through the dish and looking for the grits was like "Where's Waldo?"...except I never found any grits!!! They were supposed to be white cheddar grits. Instead, I got hash browns, which was also NOT IN THE DESCRIPTION. I am now wishing I had asked to read the menu again. I blamed myself for not reading, but the dish I ordered was NOT what I got. Another server asked me if I wanted to send it back and I refused. I mean, everyone else was already eating and I assumed that I messed up. However, if I had re-read the menu, I would have indeed sent it back. The other server did bring me out some grits in a bowl (without cheese) since I said I couldn't find any. I'm not happy. The gluten free pancake that I split with someone else was delicious! I am not a fan of chain restaurants. But this one is an exception. Even if you are not feeling brunch, there are plenty of other items to pick from. Salad. Cold Sandwiches. Smoothie. Etc. I really like the quality of food here. Better than most of its competitors. Just the right portion. I didn't leave feeling hungry or overstuffed. Omigoodness! My husband and I just had lunch at the Shack, and what a DELIGHTFUL meal we had! It was our first visit to the restaurant, and we were struck by the open, casual and welcoming atmosphere. We had the great good fortune to have Becky G as our server, and she was WONDERFUL! She promptly seated us as our table and then returned in a flash to take our orders. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered all my questions, giving me very good advice. It's an abundant menu, with extensive selections for breakfast and lunch, and unique twists on many of the dishes. Even the descriptions were fun to read! Our meals came out quite quickly, and the food was DELICIOUS! I had the turkey avocado wrap, and the flavors were perfectly put together for a savory and well-seasoned sandwich. I chose the sweet potato tots (in lieu of French fries), and they were well worth the upcharge: heavenly little candied cubes! My husband had the Reuben sandwich with fries and said it was extremely tasty (and he's a tough judge when it comes to Reubens). The portions were ample, and we were sated by the time we finished. Becky came over to check on us during our meal, and was genuinely interested in how we were enjoying the food. (Very much, thank you!) This is a good place for breakfast, but can get really busy on weekends. It's also VERY kid-friendly, so there's often kids running all over the place and it's loud. When you're going with family (especially with small kids), it's a good place to go. The food is good, reasonably priced and the service is usually very good. I like going during the week mid-morning for a quiet breakfast and/or business meeting. I'm a bit OCD, so all the writing on every space on every wall is irritating, but it's their thing. We were repeatedly told our table was ready, only needed to be wiped down, and we would be seated next. 20 more minutes went by as we watched 4-5 parties seated before us. New customers came in and were given a 5 minute wait time while we still had no table after an hour. We left, went to Joe's BBQ, waited in line, ordered, ate our food in a hour and it was great! We have been to Shack many times over the years & always good! We called ahead yesterday, Sunday and arrived at our designated time and still waited well over 30 minutes. That wasn't a big problem but a little frustrating. The bigger problem was it took quite a while to get our order delivered & then it was not correct. Our food was mostly warm to cool, so disappointing. Two people at our table didn't even get their food until the rest of the table was finished. It was overall disappointing!
