This is a follow up to my previous 5-star review. This is based on my experience with their take out service. For this follow up I'm giving Big Biscuit 2 stars. This morning I sent in to place a take out order. It was a little after 8am on a Sunday. The restaurant looked a little less than half full; there were a lot of booths and tables open. I was greeted within a minute or two. The hostess was very nice, and directed me to the bar. I stood at the area that said, Take Out for about 5 minutes. At one point someone who might have been a manager said, someone would be right with me, then ... nothing. As I walked out the hostess asked if I'd been helped, and I said, no. She said I could take a seat at a table and someone would be right by. I declined but it was her service that made this a 2-star review rather than 1-star. My overall rating has shifted from 5-star to 3-star. read more

The bonut was very good. It wasnt busy so we were seated right away. Food came put fast and service was overall good. I can see why this place would be packed for a brunch or Saturday morning. Theres plenty of space to accommodate big groups of people so if you need to feed about 10-12 this place can do that. I would definitely go back because the prices arent bad either for what todays prices are it was very affordable. read more

The food is always consistent and great tasting. This time, it was us and our toddler and he loved the birthday pancakes. The service is hit or miss. Today, it was a bit chaotic and waited several minutes for a host to get us checked in while they yelled for multiple groups to get sat. Our waitress also only checked on us once, but it was busy. My wife and I have had breakfast there the last 2 weeks and both times have been a DISASTER!! I believe it begins with the hostess seating. Both mornings there was confusion among the wait staff as to who was going to serve us. The first time it took 20+ minutes to get it figured out and this morning it was well over 10 minutes! Each time our waiter could not have been nicer or more apologetic. The first time I called it to the attention of the restaurant manager. Today, I didn't waste my time. Today not only were we served late but they got our order wrong!? My advice, avoid this location and try another location. Store management is incompetent. read more

Best breakfast ever. EVER. This is the place you go when you want real, no-nonsense, traditional breakfast food and a unique menu. The service was great too. Wish we had The Big Biscuit on the west coast. Then all of us here would know how a real breakfast should taste. The parking was ample like the food portions. No line. Oh, and the seating is very comfortable as well, the booth tables can move which is really nice for those with a bigger tummy such as myself! And we keep going back because we know what we're getting and they deliver every. Single. Time. Should be more like 4 1/3 stars. Better than four, but not 5. This is to say that as a breakfast spot, simple and easy and unassuming, the food is, without question, wonderful and everything you expect each and every time. I've never been unhappy. I've only once had lunch here, but it's experience fits with my breakfast experiences- exactly correct and as expected. Will it make the world change its axis and cause you to see the colors differently? No. But these folks will give you the spectrum of known colors in the most exacting and true possibilities. Just had breakfast well more like breakfast for lunch but it was so worth the wait. I recommend checking in on Yelp before you arrive because it definitely cuts your wait time. I checked in and waited like 2 minutes outside to get seated. Our server was Areli and she was simply amazing! She was so welcoming and checked in with us through out our meal. All the workers are required to wear masks and every one who comes in as well but once you get seated you can take your mask off. They have a system going on where one table gets sat with people and then skip over a table and are placed in the next one. They do a good job of spacing people out as well as offering menus online as an option. I ordered the Jim's Platter Scramble and my bf had the Big Scramble. I LOOVEEDDD the Big Scramble I was definitely stealing food from my bf but it was just so delicious. I will try really hard to replicate it at home because it was such a hearty breakfast. It was eggs with mushrooms, onion, ham, and cheese with a biscuit on the side. Mine was good as well don't get me wrong. The hash browns were perfectly crispy and my eggs were delicious. The biscutt was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The gravy was tasty it was definitely different than was I usually have which is a much thicker gravy. I came here on a early Saturday morning and was seated quickly when there's usually there's a long wait line. The portions are very large and it tastes good. Our server was quick but wasn't very friendly they also didn't check up on us much. We had to ask for a water refill to a random server walking by. I really can't rate the food in this review because I NEVER got waited on. When I arrived, the super great hostess quickly seated me. There were maybe 6 tables taken this weekday morning. I hostess and I exchanged pleasantries and she was curious about my KC t-shirt. This lady is a gem! She said that Shannon (I believe) would be my waitress. Well, Shannon never showed. Not even for water or coffee service. After waiting 8 minutes, I got up and told the hostess I was leaving since no one seemed interested in taking my order. I get that wait staff has assigned areas, but if Shannon was that busy, I would have thought one of the 3 others standing at the front with their arms folded could have at least helped out with water and coffee service. They see us with the kids, and put in their orders first. The food comes out so fast, it's insane! It's really good food. It's a wonderful price. We just had to wait a really long time. It took about 45 minutes for our food to come out - I ordered a burrito and my wife ordered a scramble.
