Margherita pizza 12"
Ellen M.

Pros: Great location in downtown Canal Winchester Addie took wonderful care of us and checked in often, even giving us a heads up on when food would come out Easy parking in a walkable area [[HIGHLIGHT]]clean bathrooms[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was outstanding - we got Margherita pizza and wings Full bar long-time establishment with lots of regulars Cons: They were pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon, so food took a while to come out. Addie gave us lots of updates, which helped! Pro tip: Definitely worth a visit if you are in town. The regulars dine here and the food is delicious. You can also stop across the street for an ice cream at Johnson's afterwards :)

Service was decent and polite, food was okay but could have been better. I got the wild fries and it came with 3 small chicken chunks. The fries were lightweight soggy. Taste was on point tho and they hooked you up with the fries. Wife got pretzel sticks. A little over cooked but the cheese and honey mustard made up for it. Cold beer on tap.

Me and my family are still getting settled in Ohio, trying the local dives, enjoying the feel of small town America, which we have definitely found in this area. Me and my wife were driving by Canal, and saw this spot, so wanted to give it a shot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I always start with the cleanliness of the establishment, which was an A+.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very friendly staff right from the start, and a very little wait, especially for the lunch rush. The menu wasn't overbearing, like some spots you visit. We went very basic, My wife had the burger, and I had the chicken sandwich. Coming from Texas, your just used to the portions being over the top and sometimes a little ridiculous. What I like about this place, was that it hit the spot, didn't feel guilty at the end of my meal, the portions were just right. My wife's burger was nothing spectacular, not juicy, but not bad either. My chicken sandwich is where this fell apart. It was flat, as if pounded to make a bigger filet to overlap the bun, not quite sure why so flat. The chicken breast is something that chefs are very good at, with sealing juices, or just completely off the mark. This chicken sandwich needs a trip back to the chalkboard. Very dry, and over seasoned, which was salty. I still won't paint the board with just these 2 items, I'd still like to be back to sample the rest of the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall good and friendly vibe to this spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Good place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]My father and I went on a Friday night and it was quite busy so we went to the Homestead brewery across the street before our table was ready.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had a half spinach artichoke dip and half pickle pizza. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was good but gave me a Miller Lite instead of a pumpkin beer I wanted from their extensive beer menu but it's not surprising since it was loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pizza is quite good but not quite as good as Little Italy in Groveport and Rubinos in Bexley.

This restaurant was crowded on a Saturday evening but we still got seated quickly. Our server tended to our drinks and order promptly. The menu was huge and it was hard to decide what to order. We decided on a pizza quesadilla, pretzels, and turkey sub. I love a good baked pretzel! My absolute favorite appetizer. Not greasy at all because it was baked to perfection. My husband loved his pizza quesadilla and I thoroughly enjoyed my Gobbler turkey sub. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even though the restaurant was busy the noise wasn't too loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

I grew up coming here. The food used to be something I would look forward to! Now every time I've been, the food is gross :( I used to be obsessed with their buffalo chicken dip and this last time was absolutely disappointing and sooo gross. However, The bread they serve with it was delicious!!

Was hungry band found this close to the plant. Was pretty busy for a lunch break but after sitting and eating I now know why. The food and service was awesome. Next time I'm in town I will try more of the menu for sure. Only bad thing is the U of M bear in the mouse trap. I wish I could of saved you little buddy... Go Blue!!!

Came in for lunch on a Wednesday. Place was packed! Asked for a Greek salad with blackened chicken. Plenty of food on the plate, though the chicken wasn't blackened. There were 3 Kalamata olives on the plate, but enough Feta to choke a horse. I think there were 2 pieces of onion and a couple slices of bell pepper, which has no place on a Greek salad. Dressing was very good. Overall, a decent salad, just not what I expected. Service was a bit slow, both taking the order and brining out the food, though I will write that off to the lunch rush.

I ordered from the 614 Restaurant menu, for $20 I got a lot of delicious food! The tater tots were the crispest I ever had, and the pulled pork and cheese on top was a an added bonus. The meal came with two sliders, one I chose a traditional hamburger with pickle, cheese and ketchup and mustard. The other was a huge piece of fried chicken on a buttermilk bun and the chicken was juicy and done perfectly! My side was Mac and cheese and I chose an oatmeal Whoopi cookie. I'm not going to completely bash, because for one this place is hip, no question. This place is clean, the restrooms were very clean, and that is something unfortunately some establishments struggle with. The service was great, very friendly and very prompt. What got me is the prices set for these little sliders. Ouch! I'm not going to place the prices on here but c'mon, give us some slack on the price gouging. This is a huge deterrent for me, snd almost makes the food taste a certain way, even knowing it may me a 2 star Michelin chef in the back grill. Again the price is what threw me for a negative loop, was it bad, no. Was this overpriced like most bar n grills, well absolutely it is! Can we go back to the red plastic cup prices that we grew up with back in the day. Sorry, I'm being nostalgic.

Think black-and-white checkered floors, red/chrome chairs and counter stools, a soundtrack of '50s and '60s classics, and waitresses happily singing along while they work. The atmosphere feels welcoming, lived-in, and full of personality. The food is straightforward, affordable, and exactly what you'd hope for from a classic American breakfast. You don't come here for an açaí bowl or an eggs Benedict flight--you come because you're hungry, you want your eggs cooked right, and you know you'll be taken care of. Places like this become community staples for a reason. The service was warm, the energy in the room was contagious, and the whole experience reminded me why diners like this make me so happy. We'll definitely be back, and next time I'm looking forward to trying the lunch menu.

I thought that I would give it a shot again, but the food was just as disappointing as my first try. The service is great though! Everyone seems to be friendly and kind! We stopped by around 10 AM today (Saturday). Every table was full (so clearly others do like the food/service). My husband and I started off with a cup of coffee while our daughter got a glass of chocolate milk. The coffee was watery and bland (although they have a sign up front about having the world's best coffee). Be prepared to wait a while for your food. It took almost 45 minutes for us to get ours; however, it was understandable considering every table was full! For food, my daughter got the cinnamon roll. She absolutely loved it! She said that it was super soft and ooey-gooey! My husband ordered the steak and eggs. He ordered the steak medium, but it came out very well-done (super chewy). I tried his home fries with his side of bacon and both of those were good! My daughter enjoyed the bacon too! I had the biscuits and gravy and a side of "cheesy" scrambled eggs. A big no to both! The biscuits were undercooked and the gravy just tasted like a large clump of flour! The "cheesy" scrambled eggs were tough scrambled eggs with some shredded cheese sprinkled on the top! While the food was not "it" for me, there are other things that I do enjoy about Canal Wigwam! It's a cute little diner located in the center of our comforting and cozy town! They promote many other local businesses through their "decor" - the dining tables are designed with local businesses flyers/contact information, their coffee mugs promote another local business, etc. Again, I really want to like the food here, but for some reason - my taste buds do not agree!

Located in the Kroger Plaza on Gender Road, my wife and I have visited three times in 2026. As I am immunocompromised, we avoid crowds by going on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. The staff is cheerful, friendly, and attentive, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The menu includes great pizzas, salads, bar-style appetizers, and delicious FRESH smash burgers. There's a good variety of draft and bottled beers, and the manager is knowledgeable about wine, offering a nice selection. On live-music days, it can get a bit loud for us, even when we sit far from the music, but that's just our preference. The venue also offers a game room and a pool table for those looking to hang out with friends.

I really enjoyed the style of this diner, such a throwback to old school clientele, and had such a nostalgic feel to it. I remember my dad taking my brother and I to spots like this in Oklahoma growing up, and thought it was just right to take my son here and not just enjoy some quality time with my son, but to enjoy some breakfast. Now we didn't order anything fancy, honestly, I wasn't really hungry, so I ordered the Avocado toast, and my son had the oatmeal bowl. To be honest, I really like how simple this food was, but in all truth, how really delicious it was too. The eggs were cooked just how I like them, the fresh taste of the avocado was on point. My son enjoyed his oatmeal and brown sugar. The young man waiting our table (Logan), was a good kid, quick to take our order, quick on the coffee, and extremely polite. No doubt the manager knows, that kid is a keeper. The establishment was very clean, and just had a clean shine to it.
