Blackened Wild Salmon arugula, tomato, capers, lemon, evoo, red onion, butter beans-28
    Daryl N.

Met a friend from highschool at Nauvoo Grill Club on Friday night. We were pleasantly surprised by the great atmosphere. I ordered the Blackened Wild Salmon arugula, tomato, capers, lemon, evoo, red onion, butter beans. And it was delicious! Look forward to trying other menu selections. Mahalo for a wonderful evening. We got there early and had the majority of the dining room to ourselves.

Came here on a Saturday night at 6pm. We waited 22 minutes for water. Our waitress kept saying the dishwasher is broken. She seemed very disorganized. Her hair was in a "slept on it for 3 days" messy bun. She was also cursing at our table about the water glasses. "If the glasses don't come out I'll go back there myself and god damn cleam them". Every table around us were complaining too. They forgot half my meal. By accident they brought me the wrong salad and the waitress made fun of the food runner for not speaking English. We will never come back. Aside from running out of water glasses I guess they ran out of chairs too because some lucky winners sat in fold up chairs. Looking around the dining room everyone was either waiting on something, rolling their eyes, wanting to talk to management. Their chocolate mouse dessert was just a scoop of shit with some drizzle on it.

We decided to come in during Jersey Shore Restaurant Week because they offered an awesome $22 3-course meal, with weekends included! (Most restaurants make you sit before 7pm and some exclude Friday/Saturday). Our server was Dakota who was outstanding. I ordered one of the local IPA's - definitely a bit pricey at $8 but it was very good. A Blue Moon was $6 and a glass of house wine was $8, so drinks aren't cheap. I went with the Meatball Crostini appetizer, the meatball was very good, the crostini was kind of non existent which was fine for me. I also got a chance to try the eggplant and it was delicious, nice and crispy. For my meal I got the Bolognese pasta. The Bolognese was pretty good, not great but definitely tasty and I enjoyed it. For dessert I got the mango sorbet which was delicious. My girlfriend got the Italian Ricotta Cheesecake with a raspberry sauce and she loved it. Overall, thanks Nauvoo for participating in Restaurant Week and offering a VERY good price for a 3-course dinner on a Saturday night.

Great ambiance, rustic with a lodge feeling and a big fireplace. Portion are small but worth every bite. Great flavors! Onion soup was yummy. Fish was fresh. Salad had a great amount of flavors. And the tacos were just right with a nice red Coleslaw. Enjoy!!!

Beautiful Frank Loydd Wright type of house Mission style outside and inside very low lighting so get your eyes use to it Wish it was brighter, but other wise the food was delicious. From our appitizers of the Korean wontons and the French onion soup my dinner was the special of a flaky, fresh amazing Halibut everything was delicious our server Denise was so attentive and fast. Will be back.

It's been a good 4 yrs since I've been here. It's very tastefully laid out with its wooden decor. You know it's the local's local watering hole. This is set up in 3 different areas, cozy dining area, cocktail bar with a nite live atmosphere, and an upstairs banquet room. I was in the cocktail area the whole evening listening to the live musical act of Sherri and Karlee. Entertaining it was. For those of you that are craft beer enthusiasts like myself- very few choices, only one. I did not eat a meal here so that cannot be focused upon. Offstreet parking, upbeat casual dress. Prices on the menu $$$. A nice venue in Fair Haven. Families in the dining area. See other reviews for their meals.

Came here for two separate work events. The first time, we were served a three course meal. Both the salmon and the steak dishes were excellent. But my favorite was by far the dessert--a cheesecake mousse dish that melted in your mouth. The second time was a larger event, so was a buffet style. Still very good, but didn't compare to the first. And the dessert was very disappointing--a plate of cookie and cakes, none of them very memorable.

Speaking of food they have an amazing chef just for Sushi and a really nice food menu comparable to any high end steakhouse. As a member I was able to bring 3 friends with me to come and enjoy an evening. We started with Sushi/Sashimi which was exceptionally good. Afterwards we ordered lamb chops, which were some of the best I've ever had. For dinner we decided to share a Tomahawk and a chicken. As expected, the Tomahawk was huge, Flinstones style! Fred would have been proud, lol. The chicken was very different, flavorful and juicy. After dinner we went to the other room for smoking cigars. They have two rooms. One where you can eat, and another where you can eat and smoke. I guess this is done so if someone was not interested in smoking, you have access to a smoke-free room. The smoking room is beautifully decorated and has the best ambiance of any cigar club I have been to. They have a good selection of cigars you can chose from and they are kept in a great humidity condition to keep them fresh. The night we went, there was also a live Jazz singer, which definitely added to the ambiance. In closing I'll just say, that this place doesn't feel like it's in NJ. Once you enter and start to enjoy, you feel like you are sitting in a 5 star luxury venue in Dubai or Hong Kong. There is nothing that comes close to Royale on the East Coast!

The menu was large and we had two options as part of a food tour I was on. I was able to try the scarpariello wings and boardwalk pizza. The wings were wood-fired with their special blend of seasoning and sauce along with cherry peppers. These were really tasty. The wings were a good size and the chicken fell right off the bone. The sauce had a slight kick to it with the cherry peppers present. The wood aspect of this dish was very noticeable too. The boardwalk pizza had house-made chorizo sausage, green pepper, onion, parmesan, Pomodoro, oregano, and red pepper flakes. This was alright. The crust was a little underdone for me, so it was a little flabby. The chorizo was the best part. I feel like jalapenos would have been a better choice of pepper here. The sauce was light and appetizing too. I also had a piece of bread that came out warm and paired nicely with the sauce from the wings. I was glad bread was provided to soak up that sauce! The food was impeccable, and I must say, they truly do their meats extremely well. Here are some of the things we ordered. Please bear in mind that we had it family style, and the portions are humongous. - Antipasto - They truly had a sublime selection of Italian-style cured meats, which included Prosciutto di Parma, Soppressata, Mortadella, fresh Mozzarella Pearls, Red Onions, salad underneath, and balsamic glaze drizzled over the top, providing a sweet-tart contrast. It was a very nice high-end charcuterie platter. 5/5 Stars. - Fried Calamari - They lightly floured and fried it. Personally, I preferred it to be fried a bit more. 4/5 Stars. - Eggplant Rollatini - stuffed with ricotta, topped with marinara, and melted mozzarella. The eggplant was sliced thinly and was generously stuffed. 4/5 Stars. - Penne Vodka - They were in a light tomato pancetta cream sauce. I personally preferred a little spicier. 4/5 Stars. - Orrechiette pasta served with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and sausage, broccoli rabe, and basil in garlic & oil. They overcooked the sausage, but regardless, it truly was exceptional. 5/5 Stars - Shrimp scampi - It was overcooked. 3.5/5 Stars. - Boneless Roasted Chicken Cacciatore - the chicken was so tender and juicy. 5/5 Stars. - Pork Loin Giambotta - They grilled it to perfection, and it was still juicy. This dish was accompanied by mushrooms, onions, and peppers. 5/5 Stars. - Mashed red potatoes - Creamy and smooth. 5/5 Stars. The service was impeccable. They constantly came over to see if there was anything we needed. Plenty of wine and beer flowing, exchanging of dirty dishes for clean dishes, and ensuring we have everything we need.

The interior is a bit stuffy and outdated. Red Bank has such a trendy dining scene, which again is why I'd probably prefer to head to one of the many restaurants that line the downtown streets. It seems like others probably feel similarly because on Mothers day it wasn't that crowded at 2 pm. The brunch menu was small and overpriced. There were barely any traditional brunch options - no sandwiches, no burgers, no eggs. There were only a few meat and seafood entree options and everything was steeply priced. And for that high price, you aren't getting much. Portion size was very skimpy! My boyfriend's lobster bisque came in a huge bowl but only had a tiny portion of bisque. I went with chicken milanese, which despite being small, was delicious. It came with a perfectly golden fried piece of chicken and a salad with sesame ginger dressing. Dessert 100% stole the show. Once again, it was a small portion, but the fried bananas foster was to die for. I wish it came with four pieces instead of two, but maybe that's just because I'm a sugar addict. The verdict? You won't be disappointed with the quality and taste of the food here, or your service. We loved our food, and the waitstaff was amicable. But, portions are small, prices are high and the interior isn't too sexy. Because of that I'll give it a solid 3 stars!
