Dr. Cross is does not explain anything and seems to not understand or care about what clients are going through during this time the compassion from her is zero. if you move forward with them, even if you ask to speak with finance multiple times, you'll be assured everything is fine then shocker it's not. they messed up our billing and put us as self pay even though finance assured us we have great insurance. the bill from them to me is almost 3,000$ and I never recieved any diagnosis or treatment. they also will not send me my results so that I can get a new doctor. This place needs to be shut down they are not complying with normal medical ethics.

After the consultation with him and interacting with the staff, my husband and I trusted him to help us on our fertility journey. Dr. Sharara is very knowledgeable and an expert in the field, which made me feel comfortable and confident in putting our trust in him. I appreciated that he did a very thorough and comprehensive diagnostic work up to figure out the best treatment plan. As someone who is also in the healthcare field, I very much appreciate having more data. The nurses (Ava and Jessica), billing coordinator (Trish), and other staff (Maggie) were also wonderful. Compared to the brief experience that I had with a large fertility clinic, VCRM felt like a white glove service. I graduated this week from the clinic at eight and a half weeks pregnant and am incredibly grateful to Dr. Sharara and the entire VCRM team for their guidance, care, and support. I know that I'm very lucky to have only had to do one round of IVF and for the first transfer to be successful. Dr. Sharara gave me agency to decide when to start IVF (I personally didn't want to spend much time doing IUI) and was supportive of all my decisions as long as they were medically sound. Communication was very difficult -- phone calls often went unanswered with no callbacks, and responses were typically limited to once per day. Payments were missed on their end, so I strongly recommend tracking everything carefully. Bills were also not sent promptly. Overall, while the administrative side was frustrating, Dr. Owen made all the difference in our journey, and for that we will always be thankful.

I'll also note, unlike any other fertility clinic I've been to, CCRM NoVa allows children in the waiting room, which to some is another marker of insensitivity. My husband and I tried to conceive for six years before initially seeking treatment at another provider in the area. After a year of being treated like a number in a baby factory at the big box fertility clinic, we decided to take a break. We were defeated, discouraged, and unsure whether we would continue in our attempts to have a child. The next year a good family friend who is also an out of state OBGYN suggested Dr Moragianni. We were able to schedule with her fairly quickly and our consultation left us feeling a renewed sense of hope! She actually listened to everything we had to say and explained things to us that we didn't know even after a year of treatment elsewhere. After our first round of bloodwork to get starred, Dr Moragianni identified an irregularity with my thyroid that had been grossly overlooked at the other clinic. She continued to monitor and work with us as I sorted out the thyroid issue with an endocrinologist. During this time we found that my ovaries were often not visible making it nearly impossible to determine egg count and quality. Based on the examination experience, I believe this was also the case at the previous clinic, only they blindly treated me without explaining the situation and therefore the treatment was continuously unsuccessful. Dr Moragianni on the other hand very clearly explained everything, presented us with options, and offered her best advice. She did not encourage us in any way to proceed with a path that was likely to be a dead end. One thing she offered and I was unaware of was egg donation. Ultimately, this made the most sense for our situation, and now we have a beautiful baby boy that I carried to full term. Thanks to Dr Moragianni, my underlying health issue was resolved (I had parathyroid surgery), my time and money were not wasted, and I was treated like the top priority patient at every visit! I remember telling Dr. Okasi to please use the small speculum before the exam. She nodded yes but said nothing verbally. As soon as the speculum was opened, I let out such a scream! I'm sure people in the waiting room and other parts of the office heard me, especially since this office has walls that don't connect to the ceiling (open concept). At no time did she comfort me, nothing like "breathe. Take a deep breath" or "are you ok? It's almost over". Nothing at all! I truly suspect she used the large speculum. Maybe she didn't like being told what to use. All I know is I've never yelled liked that in any of my previous examinations with other MDs. I was so embarrassed to the point that I apologized after the exam. And I shouldn't have, thinking back. Why did I apologize for pain inflicted upon me? That's why I wanted the smaller speculum! After getting in my car, I said to myself I'm never coming back here. Dr. Okasi's bedside manner was so so poor, to say the least. And the staff is not memorable. Believe what your patients tell you. We know our bodies more than you do. And if something doesn't make sense, then ask us questions for clarification.

Working with Shady Grove has been one disaster after another…read more I made a standard appointment for semen analysis. After providing the sample at the K Street location, I was called two days later and informed that the appointment was set up incorrectly and I had to reschedule. No apology or explanation was provided and payment was collected. The next appointment was a hour away from my house but I took it. At the second appointment, I was greeted (Rockville location) by a rude front desk staffer who redirected me to a different floor. At the next front desk, the staff was again disorganized and rude. Today, I was told that results will not be added to my patient portal for up to 30 days, despite being told - repeatedly - that the test takes 7-10 days for results to be returned. To date, no one has apologized for the repeated failures of the staff. No one seems concerned that the staff is incapable of communicating effectively or scheduling appointments. Despite promises, a manager has yet to call me to discuss the situation.
