Yum! Best donut I've had in a long time! We have a good variety of items. Cookies. Maple bars coconut cake donuts.

The cinnamon roll dough was good. My personal preference would have included more cinnamon. We ate in the bakery. The rolls were served in a cardboard box. They were heated with icing. The box leaked icing onto the table top. The lady behind the counter was very nice and courteous. They had a table for 3 and a side room for a small group. read more

Terrible We order eclairs and sugar cookies through doordash. They didn't even bother with a box just half a box with cheap paper laid on top, also they "substituted" regular sized for these teeny tiny sized eclairs and they were frozen like they gave us leftovers from overnight or something. The sugar cookies were not soft at all, crisper than store bought in a container 3 years expired. The quality of the food was absolutely awful. I get trying to save money but C'MON! You can afford to buy a small cardboard box like all the other places in town do! All in all I'm very disappointed and will never consider ordering there again. Delicious donuts! So many options. I had a chocolate long John and chocolate dipped apple fritter. Both were really good. The shop was walking distant from the holiday in. They had tables you could sit at and a drive thru. Very cool place. The guy working was super helpful telling me what everything was. read more

Delicious doughnuts!!!! My favorite are the raspberry Bismarcks with maple frosting. You usually have to go early to get them because by the end of the day, they are usually gone. I normally do not like filled doughnuts but these are the one exception. The filling is a creamy raspberry purée. The frosting is a creamy maple frosting that's been made using powered sugar and had more powdered sugar dusted on top. Sometimes they do not put powdered sugar on top of the doughnuts. When you order these, you need to request the ones with maple frosting or sometimes you can get them with no frosting, depending on who is working. Or, if you do not like frosting, they have them available without frosting. read more

Came to pick up some bread bowls we ordered for a baby shower and when I walked in for the first time, I was immediately drawn to their donut case. I found my ultimate flavor: Apple spice, and could not say no. I ate that thing so fast and I'm not even sorry. It was delicious. It was a perfect moist cake donut with a gentle glaze on top. The spice was strong but not overbearing. I liked it a lot and would totally come back and buy more next time. Their store is the perfect size with which includes three small eating tables. I thoroughly enjoyed the quaintness of this bakery. The bread bowls ended up being the perfect size and held up wonderfully even after multiple helping of soup were in them. I ordered a dinosaur cake for my son's birthday. The cake was so dry and crumbly. We could not have been more disappointed. When ordering the cake I specifically asked them not to make it too far in advance. I'm not sure if it was made too far in advance or if they just have a bad chocolate cake recipe. Regardless, to this day when I drive past Shaffer House bakery, I cannot help but shake my head...the cake was that disappointing. read more

Classic donuts done well, along with cheap coffee, tasty sandwiches, soup, bagels, breads, custom cakes, brownies, cookies, even baklava..they've been doing it the same for decades because they know how it's done. I love the creamy frosting on their maple bars and their raspberry filled bismarks are a-ma-zing. Stuffed cookies are soft and fruity, so tasty. I get a half spiced chai, half vanilla cappuccino here, my wife gets their pumpkin latte..32 oz is only $1.59, insanely inexpensive. Dining area is small, only three tables. Service is always very friendly and helpful. This is truly a great local bakery and part of Logan's legacy. read more

Overpriced for mediocre cake. Paid $26 for a basic single layer white cake with no writing. Frosting tasted like it was straight shortening, the cake itself was bland and almost dry with the only real flavor being the smear of raspberry in the middle. read more

Cute simple bakery and friendly staff. Selection was a bit sparse for a Saturday morning. It was our first time in but I have had their donuts supplied in maceys stores which I've always liked. The donuts our daughters got were fresh and good but the other 4 donuts tasted liked they'd been sitting a few days. The krispies should be renamed to 'stale bread with cinnamon on top'. Lol. My boyfriend and I are driving back from Schaffer's bakery and I am holding a box of baked goods. A guy cut my boyfriend off and made him slam on his breaks. Instead of my boyfriend putting his arm in front of me to protect ME he grabbed the treat box and hold onto it. I guess you could say that Schaffer's bakery is good. The staff was super friendly and the treats are so good! Definitely recommend this place. read more

Customer Service here is not good. I have never been treated in a nice friendly manner from the employees especially over the phone. Over the phone the employees sound bored, disengaged, and eager to end the conversation. I order from Shaffer for work sometimes and we have three shifts so I usually need three different orders picked up at different times. Anytime I ask for this it always confuses them and seems like the biggest hassle. They usually get the order wrong. Macey's has no problem when I ask them to do this but Shaffer can't seem to get it together. I also wish they would create some sort of website or an online location to post a menu. read more

Donuts are fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. That's the only thing I've tried. Everything else looks delicious.

Food: Love it! Have a wide variety of cookies, donuts, pastries, muffins, etc. Price: Very reasonable. Many items less than $1. They also put their older bread and other items on a special discount shelf. Atmosphere: Friendly, family-owned. A table or two to sit down. Overall: My favorite bakery in town.... Best Donuts in Cache county. I really enjoyed their baked goods. However the place does have a very small dining room. If you are shy around cops this won't feel like a welcoming place for you. They were Friendly but the food doesn't go down well knowing that you're dining with people who write your traffic citations and in a very biased judgemental way. This is an awesome little bakery! Everytime I come to Logan, I crave these donuts and have to stop in and grab a few for the road! Their maple donuts are the bomb! Instead of just a maple glaze, they have a buttery melt-in-your-mouth quality maple topping of some sort! In addition, they usually have maple donuts filled with strawberry cream! DELICIOUS! I only come here for the donuts, so I cannot speak for the rest of their offerings. However, the donuts are well worth the trip here! read more

I hate to give a local business such a low review, but this place is not good. All of their pastries and donuts are excessively sweet. My wife and I couldn't finish the danish and three random donuts we bought. To be fair, this place is comparable to chains like Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Creme, maybe slightly more sugary. I thought a sandwich would be a good way to use my gift card. Big mistake. I ordered the club sandwich on rye with all the extra toppings and cheese. I had to wait five minutes since there was only one person working the counter. It sounded like people in the back were having a party or something but definitely not being professional. The young woman at the counter was busy taking care of the customers who had followed me in. I was given a bag from a woman who had been in the back who told me it was my sandwich. I went home to find my "sandwich" was stale, dry bread with no cheese and only a few of the items I had marked to be put on my sandwich. Don't order sandwiches from here. I have to say folks that I was so blown away with a baby shower cake (for a baby girl) that turned out exactly like a photo that I requested. It was not only the center piece of attraction but most importantly the taste was so sweetly divine. I now know that for all my future cakes will come from Shaffer House Bakery.
