The team at Shaffer's Offroad are great to work with whether your project is large or small. The first couple jobs I had done by Mike and his team were suspension upgrades from a Dobinsons nitro to a full MRR kit and upgraded springs. They did a great job in a timely fashion, too. The second was a full rear window delete/swap to gull wings on a 100-series Land Cruiser/LX470, also a tailgate storage swap. This was uncharted territory since there aren't many out there, but they did a great job. Most recently I had to do a wheel and tire swap. I had gotten 5 wheels, but 4 tires, so I bought one Falken Wildpeak AT3W from them while the truck was in the shop and everything went smoothly. We noticed bc I had an old wheel spacer on there, the tire was rubbing, but Mike knew by taking off the spacer we could easily resolve that. A walk in the park. My 05 Silverado 1500 4x4 had a posi unit that had been showing signs of trouble in the near future quite awhile now. I've been babying it for a long time now. Shaffer's came highly recommended. I made the decision to re-gear my Tacoma and called to schedule as well as seek recommendations. Annie handles all the front end stuff and works with the owner, Mike, to prepare estimates and so on. After selecting the direction I wanted to go with the truck, Shaffer's took it from there. They ordered the parts and scheduled the installation. Everything went according to plan though Mike did mention a leaking steering rack (the truck is 12 years old and been wheeled). I knew about the leak and decided to go ahead and replace it. Very happy with the result and with the level of communication. Great job done on time. I will never take my rig anywhere else. Shaffer's has done most of the work on my 2018 Tacoma Long Bed. I am currently having the Steering Rack, spindles replaced and spindle gussets added before a 2 week trip into Canada. Shaffer's went out of their way to go over the whole truck and noticed some pretty major issues with the bed "falling off" they aren't supposed to do that! Also two cracked body mount relocation kit and worn out bushings. Things that would not have lasted the 2 weeks and caused me to go into the witness protection program if my entire truck bed fell the F@/k off. These repairs were not planed and they are doing everything they can to make sure my truck is ready to go in a weeks time. read more

So a few years ago I brought in my first off road vehicle. After doing many many hours of "internet" research I decided to pick up a old used 4Runner. I didn't have the tools at the time or the know how to do a lift. Frankly back then it terrified me thinking about laying under a massive vehicle on jack stands and doing work work on it.... I mean if I think hard enough now it still kinda does... but I love it nonetheless. So given that I took my new treasure to Mike at Shaffer. He did a great job and was a up front about everything else he would do to the rig over the time. That's said, the front office and coordination was somewhat lacking, calling numerous times and not getting anyone, emailing and not getting a response etc. Mike is a brilliant fabricator and mechanic but not the best at the front office work :). Since then I have become somewhat of a wrench monkey and now do about 90% of my own work... that was until I ran into something that I absolutely knew (for safety reasons) I was not about to try and needed an expert. I called up Shaffer once again and this time was greeted by a women's voice. Enter Annie. Working with her has been simply amazing! Annie is the professional front of house that's Shaffers and Mike have needed! She is the perfect compliment to Mike and teams amazing work. She is quick to respond, upfront about cost and timing, professional and goes way above and beyond. Annie (from my view) has taken the Shaffer operation to the next level.
