My New From Splitter with dark side markers.

Let me start off with thank you for the work done on my 2017 Honda Civic Coupe im greatly satisfied with the work and the service. Goldie kept me update on whats was going with my car. He went out of his way to get me bolts and washer that my splitter kit was missing. I recommend thia shop to anyone looking for customizing their ride. Great Price and Excellent Service for sure gonna come back if anything else needed!

Easily the best in the East Bay. Ask for Goldy. He will give you an honest quote and best customer service.

they purposely disconnected the hose that goes to the throttle body and put a hose so it can have a huge leak and make the car run like shit

Please read this review my daughter is attending East Bay University and lives on campus we live in Moreno Valley so we are 7 hours apart my daughters 2008 Dodge Charger was giving her an issue so they recommended her to take it to Elite Motorsports they had the car 1 week at their possession told my daughter it was a fuel pump problem and charged her $400 to repair it so she went ahead and told them to fix it a few days later she gets a call from "Goldy" the owner and tells my daughter it wasn't the fuel pump that it was an issue with her fuse box so he went ahead and cleaned the fuses and replaced 1 fuse but he still charged her the $400 so my daughter picks up her car and the car is worse he told her drive it to see what codes the car will show up to see what issues it has so I told my daughter not to take it back something wasn't right now here comes the good part my brother owns 2 mechanic shops one is called American automotive the other is called Lakeside Auto Repair I also own a Smog Shop in Perris so with this given said we know about cars I did a complete inspection in September before she left back to school so I told my daughter to take a week off school and work so she can drive it back when she gets here to the shop it was running like crap we immediately notice a huge vacuum leak and noticed someone had disconnected the throttle body hose and connected a hose so it can look like everything was in order I removed that hose and found the other hose tucked under so no one can see it so I reconnected everything and guess what car worked perfectly so thanks to this scum that wanted to rip my daughter off even more if she had taken it back to him I made my daughter drive 7 hours miss work and school risking and accident along the way just to find this out so I call "Goldy" right away almost wanting to kill him for what he did so he immediately refunded the $400 back to my daughter cause I verbally told him if he doesn't I will personally go down there and take care of this face to face so he didn't know what to say all he said was ill refund the $ I don't want any problems as you can see I posted a few pictures so please please don't ever go here to this shop always go to a couple get estimates shop around see who gives you the best price and service and honesty most of all !!

I brought my car in due to an intermittent gear slipping issue, which I had already traced to a solenoid problem--a very common issue with my Pontiac G6. The symptoms only occurred twice, very briefly. My check engine light came on both times but turned off on its own. I was still able to drive the car on the freeway at full speed with no issues. The problem only showed up during city stop-and-go traffic. I specifically asked if they could just replace the solenoid, and was told no. Instead, I was told I "only had gears 1 and 2" and that I'd need a $4,800 transmission rebuild--which is objectively false, as I literally drove the car 70+ mph on the freeway both before and after leaving the shop. My engine light was off before coming to the shop, turned on once at the shop, then turned back off shortly after leaving. There is no way my car had only gears 1 & 2 I know what that feels like as it happened twice briefly. So to say this to me is insane. Mind you wouldn't have been able to go more than 25 with out the car struggling they must have assumed I don't know a thing about cars. Possibly because I'm a woman and I went alone. They also claimed the solenoid was too difficult to access without replacing the computer and warned me about my car's mileage, as if that meant it wasn't worth fixing. But then, on my way out, they admitted it's a "really great car" and "this is the only issue." It felt manipulative. I decided to trust my gut, went to a different shop, and had the solenoid replaced--and now my car runs perfectly fine. No rebuild needed. If I hadn't known what I was talking about, they would've gladly let me spend thousands on a completely unnecessary repair. Trust yourself. Do your research. Don't let fear-based upselling push you into something you don't need. Also from reading the reviews it sounds like the routinely tell their customers they need a rebuild and successfully do the rebuild. (more than likely something very easily replaceable) However a good transmission shop doesn't just rebuild, they properly and honestly diagnose and repair. He also tried selling me cars on the way out. Notice how he hasn't replied to this yelp review and also told me he feels bad for me in the text? Very unprofessional I don't need your pitty I needed honesty which I didn't get from this shop. He also told me don't buy a used car you can't guarantee you won't have problems it's best if you fix this one with us. Also told me not to go to another shop because id want a local shop lol

I usually supply my own OEM parts for repair but decided to let Mangale order a fan clutch for my overheating F150. I asked about brands like Hayden and Four Seasons but was told they have had problems with these so I let the shop order whatever they recommended that works best. The Hayden, Four Seasons and Metrix (API) fan clutches are all under $60 on Parts Geek. My issue is I was charged $261 for a Metrix 1604-328141 Severe Duty (robbed 25hp). The same clutch is on Parts Geek for $59. That is a 444% mark up on this same part by the same manufacturer. My advice is to supply your own OEM parts. You will $ave in the long run. My second complaint is a bolt broke off on the thermostat housing while replacing the thermostat (corrosion). It happens and I get it. What I do not understand is how can extracting one bolt cost $750. I was charged 3.5 hours to remove one bolt. I feel like the problem was exaggerated to me verses buying a new manifold. I overpaid the clutch fan by $200. Then the bolt extraction should be 1-2 hours tops so I was overcharged $400 for that as well.

I brought my car in because it wasn't driving the way it normally does. They kept the vehicle for a day and contacted me the following day to recommend replacing the transmission. The estimate was approximately $9,800, which was far beyond what I expected--and, quite frankly, extremely concerning. My vehicle is not yet six years old, and I have consistently kept up with routine maintenance, including regular oil changes. Naturally, I was very disappointed to be told that I needed a replacement transmission, especially at that cost. I decided to get a second opinion from another repair shop, and I'm very glad I did. They diagnosed the issue as spark plugs and ignition coils--not a transmission problem. After replacing those components, my car is now running beautifully. I appreciate the customer service I received, but unfortunately, I cannot justify returning to a shop that would recommend a repair of nearly $10,000 when the actual issue turned out to be something significantly less expensive. I understand that diagnostics can sometimes be complicated and that different shops may reach different conclusions. However, an estimate of $9,800 is a substantial amount of money, and I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before committing to a repair of that magnitude. Thank you for your time and for the service you provided. I sincerely wish you the best, but based on this experience, I will likely may not return.

I brought my car in for a brake repair…read moreand ended up having to spend an additional $1700 to fix the faulty repair job from Bay Motors. I brought my vehicle to Bay Auto to change my brake pads, rotors and master cylinder. A day later, Ed the owner called me and said that my Automatic Braking System (ABS) module had also failed. Although it was not a problem before (no lights on the dash). I suspect Bay Motors did something to cause it to fail because I later learned that ABS modules rarely fail on their own. Anyway, Ed tells me the part is hard to get and it would take a few business days to get it. I didn't want to pick up my car with a compromised brake system so I agreed to proceed. When I went back the following week to pick up my car and proceed to pay, Ed then tells me the ABS light is on and that I would have to take it to Subaru to "reprogram" the new ABS module. He made it sound like it was no big deal and routine. I paid the bill and had to drive away with a nonfunctional ABS system which means the anti-lock brake system and traction control were no longer active. After conducting some research and bringing it to Subaru. I found the following: 1. The ABS module that Bay Motors installed was a used/recycled part that was purchased through Ebay Motors. See photo. 2. The ABS module Bay Motors installed was not even the correct module and hence could not communicate with my vehicle. (there are two models for my year/make/model - one with Subaru EyeSite safety feature and one without). Bay Motors installed the wrong one. 3. A properly installed ABS module, installed by a trained mechanic with proper tools and the right part would self-calibrate, not needing "programing". Bay Motors clearly didn't know what they were doing. To make matters worse, two days after getting my vehicle back, I was on the highway and my vehicle started shaking for no apparent reason. I pulled over to check my tires and discovered that one of the lug nuts on my back tire was MISSING. This was another very dangerous situation Bay Motors caused. I called Ed and he played it off as no big deal and asked me to bring in the vehicle the next day. I spoke with Ed after discovering he installed a used ABS module that did not work on my vehicle but he offered no solution or refund for the part. I would NOT recommend Bay Auto Body for any auto repair because of their dishonesty and lack of integrity.
