When I say I was hungry, I LITERALLY walked in chewing my left shoe. After I was able to convince the workers I wasn't a zombie, I placed my order. The kiosk was user friendly, as I am not very tech savvy. In fact, in order to type this review, I had to: 1. Write a letter on papyrus in hieroglyphics. 2. Have that letter translated into English. 3. Take that letter, and send it by courier to my great granson's baby's mother's cousin Tracy. 4. SHE took the letter, and types it into this application. Even with the restaurant packed, the team kept everything running smoothly and provided the level of service you'd hope for from a well-managed location. The self-order kiosks are fast, easy to use, and allow for plenty of customization. For anyone who needs assistance, several team members are readily available and happy to help, making the ordering process efficient from start to finish. Most importantly, the food was prepared exactly as ordered and arrived hot, fresh, and made to order. The staff remained enthusiastic, welcoming, and engaged throughout the entire visit, greeting guests and keeping orders moving with impressive speed and accuracy. I will not deny that Jamie W and I may have had a few too many by the time we staggered into this familiar-looking spot. After all, we rolled into a Shake Shack in WeHo after PRIDE wrapped up (review: https://yelp.to/tyjYJCsMF_), so why not go to another one in NOLA after sauntering through a few watering holes in the French Quarter? Laissez les bons temps rouler! Oh don't you judge us. There was little activity in this space on a Saturday night around 10:30PM, though there were a few raucous regulars. I don't typically go to Shake shack because of the price, but it's actually not as bad as I had thought. Thanks to T-Mobile Tuesday deal I was able to get a free shake shack burger with a purchase. The quantity of fries was better than I remembered too. Burger: Quality was fresh and the potato buns were soft. The patty is made with Angus beef. It comes with lettuce, tomato sauce, cheese, and a patty on a potato bun. Crinkle cut fries: crispy on the side potato in the middle. Since I took it to go and had to wait until I got home it got a little bit cold, but they are great fresh. I ordered through the app and my order was ready 10 minutes before I could even get there. I was able to walk in tell them my name and pick it up immediately I like that the paper bag it comes in has reinforced handles and is open so that the steam doesn't make the fries soggy. They also included three packs of ketchup in the bag. Parking: difficult. Luckily, I ordered pick up and was able to street park temporarily. There are some premium lots nearby because it is next to the mall. Great for tourists who are taking public transit or staying at the hotels nearby. I came here once and got one of their veggie burgers, and their Dubai chocolate shake, honestly the food was delicious! Wasn't a big fan of the Dubai chocolate shake, but I know that it was a new thing they were testing out, I'm sure their other milkshakes are a lot better. The veggie burger, though was incredible! He walked by the security guard to do it. After he left I asked the guard if she was aware he was begging at tables. She said "What? Huh." Ok, this is the second time in a row I've ordered subpar food from this Shake Shack. The first couple of times, the food was great. But if an eatery isn't consistent, they won't get any more business from me. I ordered three burgers and all of them were not smashed with the crispy outer layer the franchise is known for. I specifically order WELL DONE for all the burgers. Whatever ground beef(?) they are using now is gross and disgusting. The whole patty was wet and filled with gristle. Horrible! Never again! The Shakes are good but their Burgers steal the show. I wouldn't recommend the chicken or portobello mushroom options. Service is fast and easy, which starts by ordering at the Kiosk. I had never been to a Shake Shack before so this was a new experience for me. I liked being able to order from a kiosk which allowed me the time needed to make a decision without the pressure. The options were limited but I landed on a vanilla shake (after all it is the Shake Shack), fries, and a Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Chicken Sandwich. The fries and shake were as expected, not exceptional but not bad either. I was pleased that the chicken was a legitimate chicken breast rather than a processed, reconstituted chicken patty. I didn't care for the flavor of the bacon bourbon relish but that didn't stop me from finishing off the chicken itself. The shake was initially so thick It was hard to suck through a straw but that problem resolved itself as the ice cream melted. I likely won't return to Shake Shack in the future (I am not a huge fan of this type of food) but I was grateful to have escaped my hotel room and satisfied my hunger. read more
