    First time visit, and it was absolutely the best all around dining experience I've had in a long time. The food was hot, delicious and tasty. One thing you'll definitely notice, Shake Shack employees all work together as a team. The training for this company is world class. The owners of the local Burger King, and McDonald's restaurants need to visit this Shake Shack on Jefferson Rd. It's nice to have a fast food experience that doesn't compromise customer interaction and service. Teammate Cas took my order and was very patient with me as I had a lot of questions about the menu. Team members, Paula, Bella, Daekwon & Max periodically walked through the restaurant, making sure everybody was happy with their food choices and keeping the tables clean. Special Kudos to Daekwon and Max. They took my tray, cleared my table and got me a cover for my ice water. Thanks guys !! Can't wait for my next visit. Looking forward to trying more of the menu items and experiencing top quality service. Honestly, it's so good to see new Restaurant options in the area. Restaurants that can provide more food choices and a better customer experience. Tomorrow: I'm selling my McDonald's (MCD) & Burger King (RBI) stock and shifting over to Shake Shack stock (SHAK) ! Why : Good food, good prices and courteous and friendly service. Works for me ! Food: I tried the Shake Shack (single) burger, and the flat top hotdog with shake shack sauce. DELICIOUS !! Inside: open design and the process flow of ordering on a kiosk or with a team member is very natural. . Looking forward to my next visit. Keep up the good work.

    The workers must be slow to learning or just don't care about anything. I've gone multiple times and the line does not move. You would think that means they're making everything fresh right? Nope everytime food was cold then I ask for the shake shack sauce and this is what I got (see pic). Like you spend 40$ in food for two people and it's just half fasted. Get workers that want to work and don't rob people from crap service.

    Burgers are great delivered to your table by number. Fries were ok..cheese sauce that came with them was not good.

I was done with work, tooling around Henrietta, and thanks to my errant GPS, took a wrong turn down Clay Road. That's how I found this place. Since I came in on the Clay Road entrance, I had no idea it was actually in the Holiday Inn and Suites, on the corner of Jefferson and Clay Roads. Of course, this means that it has a huge private parking lot. I used the Clay Road entrance, leading directly into the restaurant. It's actually bigger than you would think. It's very sleek, modern and cosmopolitan. To the left as you enter, is a gleaming, polished, black marble bar and barstools, with large, flat- screen TVs flanking the bar. I seated myself at one of the tables between the bar and the long, rectangular high top that separates the dining room. On the other side of the rectangngular table, is a spacious, living-room area, with comfy chairs and sofas, and another large flat-screen. It's a great place to gather and have drinks, or just relax and scroll through your email. There were over a dozen people enjoying their drinks and laughing and a couple of teenagers chilling on the sofas, intent on their cells. An impeccably groomed server, Preston, immediately came over and greeted me and gave me a menu. He served me both times that I was there for dinner. He asked about my mother, which was kind. I was impressed that he even remembered, considering the amount of people he serves. He even remembered what I had to drink (Prosecco) the first time. I usually avoid eating in hotels, even while on a trip in bad weather. Between his excellent service, and the delicous food here, I was warming to eating in a hotel, even if I live in Rochester. The first time, I asked him what he suggested; he said their burgers were excellent. I ordered a build-your-own Burger, with cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, and onion. The burgers all come with a side of fries or Pub Chips. Preston said that the Pub Chips are made in-house daily. I went with those. I changed my mind and canceled the lettuce, fearing iceberg. Being rather soft-spoken, he probably didn't hear that, and my burger arrived with lettuce. Fortunately, it was not the iceberg that I loathe; it was a nice wonderfully green and crisp leaf lettuce. I took one look at the Burger and thought "Oh Mama, there's no way I'm going to finish this sucker," as it was huge...like the Grand Canyon of burgers. I'm not a picky eater, just not a big eater. But I had a very light, early lunch, and was pretty sure I could eat most of it. I ate it all. I'm not generally a fan of fried foods, but the pub chips were beyond delicious. It was all I could do to restrain myself from eating them all; I saved some for my mom and it was quite a sacrifice. She devoured them. Last week I bounced in and decided to try their chicken wings. Man, they really give Richmond's a run for their money: large, meaty drums perfectly slathered in delicious buffalo sauce. They were served with a handful of carrot and celery sticks and the de rigueur blue cheese. Nice presentation, too. I highly recommend trying this Hidden Gem. This place not only knocked my socks off, it made them roll up and down.

We were quoted about a 40-minute wait for a table, but told bar seating might open up sooner (around 30 minutes). They took my number and we stepped outside to take a walk around the block while we waited. We ended up getting a text about the bar seat availability in about 15 minutes. Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. Both dishes were incredibly delicious - flavorful and well-balanced. Just be prepared for a wait (and maybe stay nearby instead of wandering off), but once you're in, it's a great experience!

We then moved on to the classics for entrees -- bee sting pizza and the ragu-- and we were amazed at how good everything was! The only note we had was about the pizza, it was very soggy in the middle but still edible if you rolled it over in itself. We also had a few cocktails, and while they were somewhat small, you could tell they weren't watered down in any way. Two drinks was more than enough for me. Overall it was a great experience and we want to try it again. If you're someone who struggles to enjoy a meal out where you can't hear much, maybe wait for outdoor tables.

I will admit they are understaffed so they take a longer to get refills and such. But they have never let us down with our kiddo and their food is good. Out of the appetizers we selected, the Charred Octopus was very popular and everyone enjoyed it...even those that had never previously eaten octopus. The baby cauliflower dish was also a beautiful presentation, and quite large and enjoyable. The salads, particularly the Charred Hurricane salad, were nice light courses before the entree was served. I really have to say - for the most part, the wait was worth it. First and foremost, I have to call out their drink menu - while ultimately we came to enjoy a nice dinner, their cocktails were by far the biggest star of the show, with our entrees trailing very closely behind. If you like to partake in alcoholic beverages, I can say without a doubt these are the best cocktails I've had in Rochester, let alone all of Western NY, and this is even put up against drinks from the likes of Cure, Bitter Honey, and Avvino. I don't know if the bartender is just using higher quality spirits as a result of REDD being an upscale restaurant, but the "Burn after Reading", "Wise Guy", and Manhattan are some of the smoothest, most delicious, multi-noted drinks I've had in my entire life. If I don't come back for the food, I will absolutely be back for the drinks, because my goodness, abso-freaking-lutely phenomenal. My friends and I still talk about them now even weeks later. For our entrees we had the NY strip steak, grilled chicken, and a poached salmon, and every single piece of protein was cooked just perfectly. The steak was a beautiful warm medium rare, the chicken was glistening with succulent juiciness, and the poached salmon which I had for my main is one of the softest pieces of fish I've had in my life. It beautifully flaked away on a bed of potato puree and extremely well herbed and seasoned home fry-like potatoes that were ever-so-slightly just-undercooked intentionally to act as a perfect foil to the gorgeously soft puree and salmon itself. If I were to knock anything at all, the winter squash, turnip, and green vegetable medley that came with the chicken and steak was unfortunately far too undercooked for my liking, almost to the point of being completely raw, and while I appreciate letting vegetables sing and respect the beauty of raw, fresh vegetables, I was hoping for a little bit more of chef-y flair, seasoning, or even cooking of them. Besides that, the wait staff was simply top tier and were extremely inviting throughout the entire evening. We felt taken care of and checked up on often and they were the utmost professional. The only thing that was a true negative was the desserts -- if there's one thing I would NEVER order at REDD again, unfortunately our dessert missed the mark entirely. My best guess is due to lack of a pastry chef, but our chocolate tart was muddy and flavorless, not even tasting of chocolate, and the two homemade ice creams we tried - chocolate, and oatmeal followed in suit. We ultimately wrapped up at REDD but then ran down to Char Steak & Grill at the Strathallan for what ended up being a phenomenal dessert experience there. But overall, I have to say - I will definitely be back! The entrees were awesome, the cocktails were life-changing, and the ambience and wait staff were without fault.
