    Me and waitress, Sue
    Kevin B.

I first visited 58 Main BBQ & Brew (Brockport, NY) in January of this year, and from that very first experience, I knew this place was special. The service is outstanding, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly--a combination that keeps me coming back. On my first visit, I ordered the Three Brothers Special, which lets you choose three different meats and two sides. I went with chicken, brisket, and ribs, and let me tell you--every bite was packed with smoky, tender, fall-off-the-bone goodness. It was the kind of meal that makes you sit back and appreciate great barbecue. Since that night, I've returned four or five more times. And here's the thing--I don't live in Brockport. I live in Pittsford, a solid 30-minute drive away. But when you find a place that not only serves amazing food but also makes you feel truly welcomed, it's worth the extra miles. Sue, my server on my first visit, made sure I felt at home, and the rest of the staff has continued that same welcoming energy every time I've returned. I've even made a few friends--regulars who recognize me now, and say hello whenever walk in. This restaurant holds a special place in my heart. After a long, stressful day, when I need to unwind and reset, I don't hesitate--I set my navigation to 58 Main BBQ & Brew and take the trip. Because sometimes, great food is just food. But when it's served with genuine kindness and a sense of belonging, it becomes something more. If you're looking for phenomenal barbecue, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the spot. Five stars, every time. My Order: 3 Brother's Special: comes with three meats. I chose half a chicken, ribs and brisket. My two sides were macaroni, salad and coleslaw. It also comes with a side of cornbread, which was delicious.

Tasty, quick service, we really enjoyed the outside eating area and that the hostess spot can be considered "serve yourself" for to go bags etc.

The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was ok. We got the "Q for Two". It came with ribs, brisket, pulled pork and chicken with 2 sides, beans, Mac n cheese. We got 2 extra sides mashed potatoes and coleslaw. All the meat was dry which was disappointing, except the chicken. That was very tender. The beans and the mashed potatoes were good. The Mac n cheese was ok. The coleslaw was not good. It was a little rancid. The corn bread and apples was good.

Very disappointed! 58 main used to have excellent salads with REAL grilled chicken. Now, they are serving the salads with processed chicken pieces. Disgusting! 18 dollars for a salad. I ordered a grilled blackened chicken salad and got this....also didn't have egg like it was supposed to. Disappointed.

On a visit home for the holidays, my dad decided he wanted some smoked meat/bbq and suggested we take a trip to this locally owned restaurant in the village of my college town for lunch. The place has a local "townie" vibe and had heard him speak highly of their food before so I knew it would be hard to choose between the pork bbq or the brisket and was happy that I had the chance to sample both! Sadly, I don't recall the name of the meal as it was listed on the menu, but it came with two sliders, a bbq and brisket slider, two sides of my choice, corn bread and some cinnamon apples. Let me say that the portion sizes were very very generous! I really enjoyed their the bbq sauce and the slider rolls. I very much preferred the brisket over the pork bbq. I ordered Mac and cheese and broccoli as my sides. I was not impressed with the Mac and cheese and the steamed broccoli was fine. I was soooo full after the sliders and a few bites of each of the sides that I brought home most of the sides. I did take a bite of the corn bread which was good and I didn't even taste the apples! Our server was ok, I was a bit disappointed bc she never capped off our waters. I'm going to give an overall experience of 3 stars-pretty average in my opinion.

I met a good friend there for dinner and it was at first not alot of people there but by 6pm the place filled up quickly. It's your typical barbecue/ bar restaurant. Lots of wood paneling and kitchy alcohol based items on the wall. It's really clean and the atmosphere is a happy vibe. My friend had the Pumpkin White Russian which she said was very delicious. Her meal was the Pulled Pork sandwich with Coleslaw and Mac and Cheese. I had the delicious Brisket Shepards Pie. I had never heard of using Brisket before but the Brisket was so tender and was seasoned very well with vegetables, mashed potatoes and a nice cheese on top. I also ordered the Crab Cake sandwich with sweet potato fries for take away. My husband said the sandwich was just OK. He felt it lacked seasoning. Overall, the waitstaff is very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place for their barbecue!!

Another great meal at 58 Main. The corn bread is always fresh and just falls apart. I love the homemade Mac and cheese. Creamy comfort food. Our waitress was great and friendly

Where do I start ? I went out with my daughter for dinner and it was the dinner from hell!!! Fisrt of all the waitress was rude, she was not friendly. She was rushing us. We ordered appetizers and she placed the appetizers on top of the menus, , them she made a comment saying the menus were not table matts. I asked to speak with a supervisor after she told me i couldn't smoke next to the smoking ashtray that they have in the entrance The waitress said it was only for the owners/employees. To my surprise she was the manager. Our food was ready after 2 hours and everything was burned (personally I think thry did it on purpose) the Strawberry martini was good BUT the service was horrible. I don't recommend this restaurant at all!!

Side salad - i love when a salad is an option for a side!

We wanted to treat ourselves and orders the prime rib and the rib eye. Although the mashed potatoes were good, we were rather disappointed in the bland vegetables. They were truly a side dish, not given much thought or effort. Unfortunately the main event, the prime rib and rib eye were not seasoned at all (thankfully I thought ahead for the request of double onion and mushrooms). After trimming the excess fat from the end of the rib eye, the main portion was a good cut, well marbled and I was able to take it home, chop it up and season it for a yummy breakfast steak wrap for my husband. Honestly, we struggled to give the meal a 3 or 4 because the base skills were there and the server was so polite. It was a satisfying meal, but not one we would crave.

The other half is super excited to find that perfect, wet, bloody looking piece of meat that is so fatty and delicious. Well, that is me! Bring in the gravy and the giant fatty piece of meat. This 16oz piece of meat is everything I was hoping it was going to be. I don't eat Prime Rib often, but when I do I have very high expectations and this plate met it and more. Eat the bloody meat, drink the Manhattans and talk to old ladies at the bar. Besides, that's where the fun is. This restaurant is called JBs in #Prattville, New York. This place looks like an old ski lodge in the middle of nowhere. I had to take multiple dirt roads to get there and when I arrived, I still wasn't sure I was at the right place. I give this establishment a 10/10. Even though you will have to go on a quest to find it, it is worth the adventure. #TravelingAmerican
