I usually love Shake Shack's burgers, but I was really disappointed with my order from this location. We got two Double Shack Burgers, cheese fries, and onion rings, all delivered for a total of a bit over $60 (expensive!). Everything arrived cold and the burgers came disheveled. I understand that it can be hard to keep food warm for delivery, but the burgers/food could've been wrapped in foil, or something to help it travel and stay warm, at least. Our order of onion rings was quite expensive and we only got 7, very small rings. This was not enough for me and my husband to share as we had planned. The fries arrived soggy, but the cheese sauce was tasty at least. The burgers similarly seemed to have corners cut. The lettuce and tomato barely covered half the burger, and the burger was falling apart when it arrived. Since it was already falling apart, we decided to disassemble it and re-heat it, as it was cold. There was also no option to add pickles, which I would have appreciated. Overall we were able to revive everything in the airfryer, but I was still surprised by how Shake Shack seemed to skimp on the entire meal. Really disappointing! read more

We enjoy this location because it's cleaner a and it happens to be near a Wholefoods. You really can't go wrong with the traditional burgers and crinkle cut fries. First and foremost, can anyone explain how a "made-to-order" burger comes out to the table lukewarm on a non busy day? Like wtf? Already no good. The burger was cooked through but dry and crumbly - perhaps old meat? The fries were undercooked and tasteless. Not just my burger and fries but those of my companions as well. I wish I could lay this off as a poorly managed location but in full honesty, its been like this the last three locations as well (all different). Shame, bc Shake Shack used to be reliable and my go to burger spot. But no longer. In full disclosure, there are far better burgers to be had out there but no major chains, so Shake Shack is just another disappointment. This is my last visit to this chain - I would rather go hungry than pay $60 for three burgers, 1 order each of fries and rings, and three iced teas. Shake shack corporate is the worst. They had an offer of buy one get one free and when I made the order, it did not get the second one for free but you know what really annoys me. It's they put that 10% tip as a standard. You better check your bill and make sure that you don't pay 10% for picking up your own food. $26 for two burgers that's ridiculous. I remember the first time I had shake shack, I waited 45 minutes in line at Madison Square Park. Many years later, they are everywhere. I've been to quite a few shake shacks, just didn't think they were as good as the original. I like this one though, it's pretty spacious and there's outdoor sitting. Mobile order works perfectly, we order ahead and either the order is ready for us or we just wait a little bit. The burger is better than most burgers out there, the fries are good and I've always been a fan of the shake though this Christmas cookie shake is a little too sweet for me. Oh man, Shake Shack. Anyone who knows me knows that SS is a reallllyyy big deal to me. I'm obsessed, and I'm not afraid to admit it. I try to *limit* my intake and only go every so often, so when I do it's a really big treat. I've come to expect consistency, and unfortunately this Shake Shack was a little more meh than usual. Maybe it was just an off day, and you can rest assured I'll be back to test it out again!! My shack burger was sloppily assembled with too much sauce dripping all over the place. The bun was also soggy and soaked in a lot of butter. Let's be clear -- it still tasted perfect, because well, it's a shack burger. But it just wasn't the best shack burger that I've had. I also ordered a side of nuggets, and these were so greasy that I couldn't eat them. Usually the nuggets are fab, so they also could have just been off. Service was speedy and friendly, and there is a really nice outdoor seating section if the weather allows for it. Next time I'm hoping for a less greasy experience and it will be perfect as can be. Arguably the best burger I've had. You can never go wrong here!! It's a relatively new location (finally Morris county) that's shares a parking lot with a bunch of other stores (whole foods, old navy, paper store which sounds weird but I digress) The burgers are cooked with a little crisp and the shack sauce has such a nice flavor added to it, the bun is a potato and really soft. Fries are really crispy and well salted. They usually put the cheese right on but I opted for cheese on the side which you can customized. Lastly, you can order online through their app, grub hub,etc or walk in and order at a kiosk or with a person. You have to try this place at least once if you've never been!!! read more

The burgers were so disgusting and greasy , I wondered how so much grease could come out of such a fairly small patty. I guess the answer is it probably came from the grill . They really need to learn how to start cooking burgers normally . I know it's company policy , but most people do not like well done burgers . Big companies are afraid of ecological virus' caused by undercooked meat . But the fact is that the burnt char on anything is a carcinogen and linked to cancer . I like my burgers medium rare . The burger and the experience literally ruined my Saturday night and I feel horrible after eating the burgers . When I was a kid they used to call White Castle hamburgers "rat burgers ", but at least they tasted incredible. I am coining a new term for the Shake Shack burger ....."grease bombs". This is the third Shake Shack restaurant I have visited. I waited a while before going in for a try of this new outlet since I wanted to be fair. My prior experiences with SS at a mall and a highway stop were only meh. Here, you interact with a computer to order. No human to assist. Hmmmm. They get your cell phone number so they can contact you. Hmmmm. The design of the room is such that when the door opens, icy cold air washes the room. Hmmmm. They have table sanitizing cloths available so YOU can prepare the cool table tops for clean eating. My table needed it too. Hmmmm. I didn't see a veggie option for my wife. Hmmmmmm. Ok, the fries are really good. The portion size a bit small but very well cooked and fresh tasting. The burger - Nice but Habit and Smash (both close by) are a bit better (in my opinion). Still, my regular was pretty good. Too chilly for me to try their Shakes. I'll save that for later. More hype than performance for me but folks love their food - especially in the NYC outlet. I will say that the food was not super warm upon arrival (it was barely warm) but that's understandable given that we did not eat in. The sandwiches were delicious - we both agreed! Full disclosure, Shake Shack Times Square sent me a $10 gift card after I gave them a 4 star review because I said I didn't like their french fries. This is a Shake Shack like any other. Delicious burgers, excellent chicken sandwich, and amazing hot dogs. I do love their shakes too, but still am not a huge fan of the fries. I got the Hot Honey Chicken Nuggets which were breaded well and good flavoring. The habanero mayo that comes with the nuggets was good but way too spicy for my liking. The flavoring was there in the initial taste but was very spicy. It would be more enjoyable with less heat! The fries were eh. I would rate them low if I was writing a review only on the fries. They definitely need seasoning. The milkshake was good - could have been a little more chocolaty but the added chocolate chips and cookie helped (3.5/5 on the shake).
