I went with the medium grilled combo and paired it with the Smokin' J's BBQ sauce -- the nuggets were juicy, packed with flavor, and incredibly fresh. The portion was generous enough that I brought home leftovers for later. I also tried their homemade blueberry lemonade, it was refreshing. For anyone who can enjoy gluten, the wings and nuggets looked amazing -- and the sauce options alone could spark a serious debate! Service was quick and friendly. It wasn't crowded when we walked in, but I can definitely picture this spot getting busy during peak hours. The staff was fun to joke with, and the place was clean with plenty of parking. Wow, not since Geneva's famous chicken in Savannah, Georgia - have I had a chicken sandwich as phenomenal as this one. The breading was just right, perfect pickle and soft bun, plus they have a long list of awesome sauces, and their french fries are crispy. They used to have a location in the city before opening here, and the owner is a really cool guy. Theyre going to be experimenting with some funky stuff this summer - can't wait to go back and try it. Ice cream plus chicken combo? Consider me curious. read more

Honestly whenever I get chicken nuggets, I can't help but compare them to this spot now. First of all, the nuggets are the real deal. It's not just your blended pink slime stuff, but they're really more like bites of chicken tenders. The breading is perfect and just a thin coating, and the plethora of sauces will keep you coming back for more flavor! If anything, I wish they sold a flight of sauces because I've yet to try them all and find my favorite. Also nice that they do ice cream floats now! Here at The Nugget Spot I noticed that they offer a Chicken Thigh for their Sandwich which to some people this might spark a debate about that. And while I'm no Chicken expert I do consider myself both a Breast and Thigh kinda guy. The larger meat tends to cook up dry though and has less flavor than it's darker more flavorful counterpart which is exactly why I was interested in trying their Sandwich. 1st time visitor to this spot. It came up on my bookmark places. So today I got to try them. Clean place. And a friendly guy taking orders. No freebies for first visitor. But explained the menu completely. I got the Med combo with some nugget spot lemonade. The breaded nuggets got a good crunch to them and plenty neat within. You can taste the good seasoning. The season fries had a snap to the bite. Definitely worth the money as at first look, many might think it is expensive. But when you see the over sized nuggets. They will have you saying. I visited recently with my boyfriend when we were in the area. We got there right before closing so we had to sit in our car to eat. We split the large combo which came with 1lb of nuggets, 1 large fry, 2 hawaiian rolls, 2 sauces, and 2 drinks. The chicken was super moist and packed with flavor. Parking is ample since it's located in a strip mall. Minimal seating inside, it seems more popular as a take out restaurant. Service was decent. There's only 5 stools and one small round table inside this tiny space. On the plus side: chicken sandwiches, nuggets sold in half-pound servings, gorgeous, delightful, crispy breading, and a huge variety of dipping sauces for reasons to come back. On the negative side: there was nowhere to sit when my food arrived, so I slummed it in my car. I think the busyness got the better of the staff. Came here today for the first time. Cute little place with some seating inside and out. I got an order of the regular chicken nuggets and a Boylan black cherry float. First of might be some of the best chicken nuggets I've ever had. They brine them first and it makes them really moist and tender. The two dips I had were their hot sauce and their pickle aioli, both very good. The black cherry float was excellent as well. Highly recommend you give this place a try. read more

Really great new local option specializing in one thing - nuggets! We tried 2 different types - the regular and the grilled. The grilled one had great flavor, and is probably what we'll order for the adults in the future when we pick up from here. The regular nuggets will definitely be a hit with our kids - perfectly crispy and flavorful. The key here though are the dips. Wow! I loved chicken nuggets as a kid and it's been so long since I've had them. Way back when I ate them at fast food chains like McDonalds that now upset my stomach due to the processed nature of the food. For that reason, I have not had nuggets in a while. Here, the nuggets were incredibly flavorful and is made fresh. I got the reg which is regular chicken nuggets. I also had the nacho cheese sauce which tasted EXACTLY like its title which was incredible. My meal came out relatively quickly and inside of the restaurant reminded me of a traditional fast food joint. My raspberry lemonade was also great. I can't wait to come back and have nuggets. I would say for a spot that specializes in nuggets, it was kind of disappointing. We ordered The Regs with cajun seasoning and The Captain. I felt the cajun didn't have much flavor and honestly just tasted like plain nuggets. The Captain was a little better as it had a salty sweet flavor from the breaded capt'n crunch. The chicken itself I thought could be crispier and juicier. It felt pretty average and nothing to write home about. This spot is fairly new, so I will give it the benefit of the doubt that they still have some things to work on. Other than that I thought the fries were perfectly done and well seasoned. Service was great as they were helpful in explaining the menu and giving us time to order. For a small, nondescript location tucked away in a Chatham strip mall, the Nugget Spot punches far above its weight class. The first thing we noticed upon entering shortly before closing on a Wednesday night was the amazing aroma of freshly cooked chicken (which is quite different than a chain restaurant). The next thing we noticed were the awesome NUGS jerseys and sweatshirts styled in the manner of our local major sports teams, only some of which were available for sale. My three kids' eyes grew three sizes looking at the menu. We chose the regular and the Captain, which are chicken nuggets hand-encrusted with Cap'n Crunch before they're cooked. Both were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside like a good chicken nugget should be. The Captain had a little extra crunch and didn't taste as sweet as I'd expected, which was nice. We tried the BBQ sauce, which was a lovely blend of sweet and smoky, and the sweet chili, which had a subtle heat gentle enough for our kids to enjoy. The fries were extra long and held a healthy crunch while warm. The fire-roasted broccoli was delicious and a welcome counterpoint to the fried options. Jason, the owner, was kind enough to tell us about catering options (coming soon!) and a bit about the history of the restaurant (open six weeks at this location). I got sick there a couple weeks ago. A board of heath inspection needs to be done. I had chicken and frys, food handling or chicken bad or old, place needs to clean up or be closed, its a shame to spend money and get sick , was in bathroom for hours. I hadn't heard of this place before, but stumbled upon it when browsing through yelp. I called to place an order and was surprised to hear that the nuggets can be made very quickly (2 min!). When I got there, the nuggets were fresh out of the fryer. I tried the traditional and the captain crunch. Both were great on their own. White meat, crunchy/crispy, and flavorful even without any sauce. The sauces (dill aioli, bbq, honey mustard, and their special sauce) were all good, albeit nothing out of the ordinary. I actually think I liked the nuggets more without any sauce! The only somewhat drawback is it is a little pricey for the half pound ($13 for half, $19 for 1 lb), so I felt like I needed to get the 1lb just for cost efficiency, but it was a bit too much for me. Incredible(y dangerous). I couldn't wait to sample some of my old favorites. Mozz Nugs - Barely made it out of the car and into the house before devouring. Solid marinara sauce, too. The Regs - Think KFC popcorn chicken but way, way better. Pairs well with any sauce but Shhh... and O.G. Ranch (my favorite) were tonight's choices. The Captain - Coated in that famous crunchy cereal. Sweetness enhanced by pairing with a damn good honey mustard. Nacho Mac - Creamy, cheesy, crunchy (because of the tortilla chips on top). I missed this. Crispy AF Fries - I'm not a crispy-coated fry person, but they were cooked fresh (like everything else I ate) and really just a conduit for me to eat more sauce. Super Professional Nuggies and Chicken Sandwiches. Tender juicy chicken with crunchy coating. I tried the regular nugs which were a basic breading , the Captain Crunch nugs which were exactly that coated in Captain Crunch and the "Skinny" nugs which were grilled nuggets and they were seasoned nice and juicy. I tried a bunch of sauces and they all work well with all the nuggets. The sauces I tried were Mr. Pickle which was a dill pickle aioli , blue cheese, golden BBQ, Honey Mustard, Nacho Queso , and the SHHH... secret sauce which was awesome and they wouldn't tell me what it was. I also tried 2 chicken sandwiches and they were the biggest sandwiches I've ever seen. Both large juicy fried chicken thighs on a massive Hawaiian bun. The original had mayo and pickles and I had the monthly special which had truffle mozzarella nugs, truffle honey and truffle mayo. I also had a side of crispy fresh French fries. Some house made drinks and water available. Fast friendly service. Only 1 table inside and some bar style seating.
