So I was reached out by the Shake Shack team and given a code to use in the app for $10 off due to my poor experience last time. This would have immediately made up for the poor experience last time if only it actually worked in their app. I was given a discount as an apology for my poor experience and the app did not use it, it gave me an error message. Wow. So I was already on my way there as I kept pressing order in the app with all the correct info plugged in so I just show one of the nice ladies behind the counter that I have a discount for the shake and fries I want to order. They use my code and give me what I ordered in the app in person and I receive my shake and fries with no hassle, the employees at this location really picked up where the disappointing app left off. The shake was delicious (glad they had them this time!) and the fries were crisp and hot! Great job from the employees here once again- even last time with my poor experience, the employees tried to make it up to me and the people I was with. My husband and I went to Shake Shack in NYC at the end of 2014, and we fell in love. We hadn't been to another location since, so we were excited to stumble upon this one while we were shopping. We both ordered single shackburgers with fries and drinks. The staff was nice, and the food was ready in a timely manner. The food itself, though, was kind of disappointing. It definitely wasn't bad, but it just wasn't exceptional. It wasn't the enjoyable experience we had in the past. We were going to go back to the line to order a shake after we finished eating, but then the line was backed out to the door, so we decided to pass. I had heard wonderful things about Shake Shack's burgers and it did not disappoint. My husband and I both had the bacon cheeseburger and it absolutely melts in your mouth. The quality of the meat along with the juiciness and the flavor is amazing! To top it off, the bun is so soft and melds with the patty perfectly. The cheese is melty and the lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles are cold and fresh. The bacon was crispy and smoky. It was PERFECT. Now for the fries... also awesome! Crispy, salty, and crinkle cut and the shake sauce is so yummy with them. We are fans of the entire experience and quality and will be frequenting this place. On top of having delicious food, the service was great and everyone was friendly. It can get crowded but it's worth the wait and everything is made fresh. How To Get There: It's on the outside of Perimeter Mall, sandwiched between Maggiano's and Urban Outfitters. While there's a vast parking lot all around, you can imagine mall traffic can get busy at times, especially if you want to be close to the restaurant. Still, I prefer this situation any day than Buckhead driving and parking. Open till 10:00pm most days, with Friday and Saturday getting an extra hour until 11:00pm. Naturally, it'll be much easier to navigate if you come after the mall is closed. Ambiance: It's casual but not boring, and always busy. You have a combination of booths and tables, mostly decked out with wood trim. Due to the crowds, you may have a hard time finding a spot to sit, especially if you have a party larger than 4. Can't really speak to service, because all you do is order, take a buzzer, and get your order when it buzzes. Food: I used to be a doubter, and I attribute that to simply not being a fan of the sauce on their Smoke Shack. But ever since I started ordering the plain Shack Burger, I've loved it every time. As I said in my other view, I use Shake Shack as the standard for what an awesome burger should be. You need to tie or surpass it to be in the discussion for "best in town." Otherwise, get back down to "good" and "solid" level. The double patty version, for just $8 (not sure why people complain about this price), is plenty thick. Cheese is gooey, meat is juicy, and you get exactly what a cheeseburger should taste like in its simplest form. Boo tired to Shroom Burger, and I'll say it was a nice change up. You definitely get that mushroom taste in fried form. The only other warm item on the menu I can see myself trying one day is their hot dog. Otherwise, it'll be just burgers and shakes for me. Good place to get a solid burger. This Shake Shack location is attached to the Perimeter Mall. Mall parking is available. The parking lot is big but it tends to fill up especially on weekends. The interior of the restaurant is sleek and modern. Clean inside. Plenty of booths and tables for seating. You place your order at the counter and they will give you a buzzer to indicate when your order is ready. The menu consists of several different burgers such as a hamburger, the ShackBurger (cheeseburger), the SmokeShack Burger (cheeseburger with bacon, cherry pepper, and SmokeShack sauce), the Shroom Burger (an option for vegetarians with a fried portobello mushroom filled with Muenster and cheddar cheese), and the ShackStack Burger (cheeseburger and Shroom Burger combined). You can get the hamburger, ShackBurger, and SmokeShack Burger as a single or double patty. They also have a chicken burger on the menu as well as hotdogs (all-beef or chicken hotdogs available). Side items include French fries, cheese fries, or bacon cheese fries (no onion rings here). Other items include shakes and concretes. They serve alcohol here as well. The food comes out promptly after you place your order. Service is good, the workers are friendly. The only thing I've tried here is the ShackBurger and fries. The ShackBurger is tasty. The patty is nice and juicy and I like the flavor of their ShackSauce. The patty is not very big though so if you are especially hungry you might want to go with a double burger. The first time I went to Shake Shack was in Buckhead back in 2014 and I had their hot dogs. I wasn't impressed and didn't think I would go back. Then last year, I ended up going again in NY and I had their burger...still wasn't impressed but it wasn't bad. Fast forward to last week, I went to the perimeter location because of the free burger promo when you sign up on their app. I love the fact that you can order on the app and choose your pick up time. I have been to a few shack locations in different states (MI & NY), including the one in Buckhead, but this is the worst experience by far. I have mobile order yesterday in this location. It was not very busy , but I have waited for almost 3 minutes or longer to pick up my order and there is no one on the waiting line (I'm the only one there waiting). After finally someone noticed me and worked on my order, they left out one of my items, hand spun shake. The server didn't even care to double check the order or apologize for the missing item. I waited almost 21 minutes for my food and when I finally got it I was so hungry and excited to sit down and enjoy my food but it was cold. so I politely returned it. they did it over but then the order was wrong. Ordered the classic shack burger, with fries and a black and white shake. Burger was tasty, beef was cooked well, and was seasoned well. Perhaps it is the crinkle cut, or perhaps they were just missing the flavor when compared to other burger places like In-n-Out burger or Five Guy's. Since the opened up a location closer to me, I was craving burgers and fries so I decided to give Shake Shack a try. Honestly.. It wasn't even bad. It's not expensive, but it's not on the cheap side either. I'd come back. We came here on a tuesday afternoon. I was expecting lines, but it was fairly empty. We got the Smoke Stack (single $6.89) some special Bbq burger on the board, 2 fries($2.99 x 2) and a drink (small $2.35). Expect to pay like $20+ for two people. Their fries were fried to perfection. I love fries. Their fries make it to top of my list. Good job Shake Shack. Their burger? It was pretty dang good too. Their bun is so soft, not soggy, & perfectly buttered. They give you a vibrating handle so you go to your table and wait for the handle to vibrate then you go pick up your food from the counter. I didn't have to wait long for my food, considering how busy they were. I waited maybe 5 minutes tops. Everything was delicious. The burger was so good and well cooked. The milkshake was divine. TLDR: If you've never been here, Shake Shack is a more premium fast food burger place in my opinion. The food is tasty but it's still fast food at the end of the day. The long version: Let me preface this by saying Shake Shack is a fast food place and in the context of that segment, it's pretty tasty. It's not as good as a burger you'll get at a sit down restaurant but definitely better than BK or MCD or something. This particular one at the perimeter mall, located on the outside near the cheesecake factory and the main entrance into the mall, is not a deviation from the Shake Shack norm. The service was fairly quick despite the lunch time rush during the opening week. There is ample seating and a meal will cost you roughly $10-$15 depending on what you get. I went with the classic burger and fries for about ~$11. The burger was pretty good for fast food but obviously not the best I've had. The fries on the other hand were great. I usually don't enjoy crinkle fries but these were great. They were severed warms and salted generously but not too much. The shakes here are the real deal and definitely worth checking out if you haven't gotten one before. The extra money for getting it malted is also worth it. Because the lines are always long. I ordered the Smoke Shack and my husband ordered the chicken shack. We didn't have to wait long for our food to come out. Both sandwiches were good but for the price they should've left an impression on us both to come back again. I've been to other restaurants that specialize in burgers for more that left a impression! Since my first sighting of a Shack Shake the lines have always been out the door. People line up in every city I have seen one and wait patiently for their turn. I don't eat red meat or poultry any longer but I checked the menu and they had a vegetarian option, the shroom Burger. The tiny Shack Shake attached to Peremeter Mall was cute and quaint definitely a cool spot for my niece and I to sit and figure out what the hype was all about while we ingested our food. Inspite of the massive crowd of folks strolling in and out of the resturant all the table tops and floors were clean and the restroom was surprisingly spotless as well. The staff was super friendly, although they were extremely busy the young lady at the counter was very patient with me being a first timer and all. My niece and I ordered the same thing, the Shroom Burger and Fries. The Burger was a big round greasy deep fried mushroom with fixings on top. I am impressed that they have a vegetarian option but was not as impressed with the taste. There was nothing memorable about my fried mushroom burger other than the grease that filled up in my mouth when I bit into it. The fries were good, not too greasy and they were nice and hot. Definitely not worth the value, $10 is pricey for a burger and fries. I don't typically eat fast food so I gave 4 stars for the customer service, and cleanliness of the restaurant. I come here on occasion to grab dinner. I usually order the shack burger with cheese fries. Sometimes I'll order the bacon cheese fries if I'm feeling a little fancy. This place has some of the best fries I've ever tasted. They are crinkle cut with the most perfect crunch. They are also perfectly seasoned with the right amount of salt. The first time I came here I was not impressed with the shack burger but they seemed to have improved since then. I now come here all the time since I work nearby. The reason I'm taking off a star is the location. This restaurant is attached to Perimeter mall and the location has the worst parking. I have driven around several times for 10+ minutes trying to get a decent spot but it was all worth it in the end. If you come expecting a gourmet burger experience, you will be disappointed. If you are expecting a better than typical fast food burger you are right on target. The best thing for me is the jealousy a trip here evokes from my immediate family members as well as the memories from our visit to New York, where we first experienced it. I had the SmokeShack (bacon cheeseburger, chopped cherry pepper & ShackSauce) Crinkle Fries and Christmas Cookie Shake. Only regret was not getting the Double and adding Cheese to the fries (trying to save some calories since I knew I was getting a shake). You can't have Shake in your name and not deliver excellent Milkshakes. No worries here. Mine taste just like liquid sugar cookie dough with whipped cream and sugar sprinkles. It's a good thing that this is the closest location to my home (2-3 hours) or else I would likely be a diabetic from over indulgence before the season was over. Since I spent the next morning in a semi-heated tent for an event on a particularly cold day in Atlanta, I had a great excuse to return and try out the Brownie Batter Hot Chocolate to warm back up on my drive home. The burger was simply amazing, I don't know how they do it but it's just so good once you bite in. The burger is juicy, flavorful, and sends you all the way down to flavor-town. If you're tired of fast food burgers with a fast food taste, you gotta eat here! The restaurant is very modern and located in a great spot. Because its outside perimeter mall you'll find a lot of space to park and the wait for the food isn't usually long (depending on what time you come). Since they opened up this second Atlanta area location in Perimeter Mall (next to Urban Outfitters) and we love burgers we couldn't resist getting in on the SS frenzy. It was late Saturday afternoon and not surprisingly parking was a pain. However the restaurant was not overly crowded. There were just a couple of people in line when we arrived, but a steady stream of customers continued to come in during our visit. You enter the restaurant and stand in queue next to a giant menu board which makes it a little tough to take it all in. Luckily the menu is pretty straightforward; burgers ($4.39-$9.69), fries ($2.99) and frozen custard items (also a chicken sandwich/$6.49 and hot dogs/$3.39-$4.69). The burgers are angus beef cooked medium on buttered potato buns, offered in single and double patties. It's a good burger, fresh and definitely a step above fast food. The crinkle cut fries were liberally salted. And the milkshake, while small, was worth the almost $6. It was an enjoyable meal for sure. Thumbs up for the Shack. read more

The only thing I wish is that the burgers were a little bit more bigger. All in all a 10/10 experience. I went on to order a chick'n shack, and the service was wonderful. The sandwich was awesome. The menu is somewhat sparse, and I don't eat beef, so I ordered the chicken sandwich. It tasted amazing and seemed very fresh. The ingredients are locally sourced and the chickens are not fed hormones, which I love. The environment of the restaurant and company overall seems very environmentally and health conscious, which I really like.
