My mom and I went to shake shack yesterday afternoon on our way out of town. We have always been fans of shake shack, and we were excited to stop because we don't have one where we live. We ate, and then we got on the road to our next destination. Immediately when we got to our hotel, I felt super nauseous. I ended up throwing up throughout the whole night, barely getting any sleep. At first, we thought it might have been motion sickness from being in the car, but then a couple of hours later, my mom started throwing up too. If you're looking to avoid any sort of stomach bug or food poisoning, I would steer clear of this shake shack. I wish I had read the previous reviews regarding sanitation issues. I used to drool over these burgers, they are still top 10 but not overwhelmed with this location. My burger was hot, it was also a hot mess like someone didn't try too hard to assemble it, it seemed thrown together. My fries were barely warm, not freshly cooked for sure. The shake was good, at least that didn't disappoint. But overall I'm there for the burger so I'd appreciate a little more effort in the preparation. Service was friendly and the food was ready for pickup on time, I used the app to order and pay. I was also lucky to get a parking spot right out front which is not always easy, but great for picking up your to go order. read more

This store went downhill fast. Just ordered a chicken sandwich that was inedible. I don't know if it was frost bitten or what but it fell apart in gross soggy flakes - almost like it wasn't chicken or it was processed. Fries were cold too. Definitely won't be going back. read more

So I have patronized this location a few times over the last few months. As far as my orders went, They were fine. Everything was in order and tasted fine. Customer service is lackluster here. It almost looks painful when the workers ring you up. The biggest issue I'm having at this location is over all sanitation. The doors are always smudged and filthy. The floors and tables always have food remnants. I do not claim to be an expert here but I worked in the restaurant industry for many years including fast food once upon a time. You have a large workforce here typically. It would help if Management would assign a dedicated worker on clean up duties throughout the shift. This would absolutely insure a consistently clean environment. If management already does, you have a problem here. In the end, If I'm paying a premium price for " fast food" the environment should be clean. read more

This Shake Schack recently opened up in the new section of Suburban Square. After hearing that it opened, I have tried to go for about the past month and decided to drive over after playing some tennis in Gladwyne. There was actually a bit of a line out of the store because of capacity restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and this location being on the smaller side. That said, I came in after waiting outside for a few minutes (and talking to a friend of mine from tennis who I saw in Suburban Square). The gentleman handling operations at the door was very kind and informative. There are two kiosks to order from with a credit card and a cash option where you pay with a cashier. I used the kiosk option, which had good interface to place orders. I believe they use Square for their credit cards. I order a hamburger with tomato, french fries, 6 pieces of chicken and a chocolate milkshake. I will say that I was a bit disappointed by the extraordinarily long wait time for my food. It took close to 20 minutes to get my food, which was inconvenient. They also forgot my milkshake, so it is a good thing that I double checked before leaving. Upon getting home, I ate my meal and it was quite delicious. The hamburger is similar to others I have had at Shake Shack. The bun was soft and went well with a flavorful beef patty and fresh tomatoes. I also love their french fries! The chicken nuggets were also very good. The chicken itself was very moist and flavorful. The chocolate milkshake was quite sweet, but creamy. Nothing extraordinary, but tasty. Altogether, with Ruby's Diner closing in Suburban Square this Shake Schack provides a good new eatery. read more

For a chain, the burgers are always juicy and the shakes are always thick. Their new suburban square location makes it easy for me to grab a quick dinner and dessert after work, and their end cap next to the fire pit is a great spot to hang out and make a burger and shake into a date night or lunch with friends by the fire (when it's not 90degrees out) Touch screen ordering makes customization a breeze. 4/5 as they've either been out of bags or ketchup the two times I've visited read more

The shroom burger was good, but looked like someone had pre-squeezed my burger and I could see finger indents. The truffle burger was good tasting, but sort of looked like the truffle hunting pigs stepped on the burger. The fries were pretty good, would eat again. Skip this location. I've eaten at other locations, so I know that SS serves a good quality product. However, the burger I got here was so smashed that there wasn't any juice left in it. It was dry and tasteless. My brother's burger was even worse. Not only were his patties smashed, but his bun was smashed as well. His patties looked like two micro-thin hockey pucks. I don't get the sub par reviews. Third time getting a burger at this location and every one has been as good as the last. By far the best "fast" food burger around. Clean fresh beef with great flavor, perfect portions of sauce and cheese every time. Hot pepper relish puts it over the top but it's good without too. And customer service has been great. Wait time was minimal and the food was delicious. Obviously not as tasty as the kind of burgers one might find at a higher end restaurant, but for the price and convenience, shack is the best. Retrain the entire staff. Wait on a Friday night for a single shack burger was over 1/2 hour. Staff could care less, moving at the pace of turtles, no urgency whatsoever, no sign of anyone in charge. I used the delivery service to have the burgers and fries. The burgers are very tasty but the lettuce is crap and needs to be replaced, all wilted not edible at all. The fries were stone cold- I have gotten very good crispy fries in the past so I assume it was the delivery driver. I ordered two orders of French fries but they delivered only one. Okay, no big deal; mistakes happen. So I called the customer service number shown on the app for addressing delivery issues. It connects to a call center in the Philippines. The agent looked up my order placed me on hold for 10 minutes and returned to say that he couldn't help me and that I had to call a different number. This is what made me upset. What's the point of providing a customer service number that can't resolve issues and gives you the runaround? Every kiosk to order was out of order. Line was ridiculously long to order with live cashier. For a busy Saturday seemed their was short of staff with one person working the orders. She was too busy to help me and seemed annoyed and just told me to wait in line with 2 hungry kids. Teenagers in front of me allowed 5 more of their friends cut in line which at that point we left.
