Not only does this place have a creative title that makes you shake with curiosity, the drinks were made so swiftly with an appealing decoration. For instance, my first drink was named Red Velvet, and it has a piece of dried beef jerky on it with one giant ice cube. It had a beet as an ingredient but it tasted interesting and smooth. I came here with two of my coworkers and they also enjoyed their butter old fashioned, decorated with a dark chocolate piece of candy, and trix on you (white pale drink) that was creamy to the taste. Between our rounds of cocktails, we also ordered some spicy popcorn shrimp (not pictured) that came fast and hot. it was fresh and they provided us chopsticks which was interesting. The waiters were quite attentive and they were checking in on us quite constantly but not too much that it felt like they were asking us to leave. The second round of drinks was also captivating to the eye. My second cocktail was called lavender mist that was in a tall narrow glass that had foam on top with a bird couple design that I thought was adorable. It was fun to drink the foam around it and it had bits of fruit in it as well. It was much fruitier than the first drink but I wasn't mad about it. I wanted to note that the drinks menu were divided by "types" such as "medium flavor, light flavor, etc so that you know exactly what you're ordering with the ingredients clearly listed along with the designs of what the drinks are going to look like. a cocktail bar that is truly not afraid to get a little fruity - I think this is such a cute spot. there are bar seats and tables lining the restaurant wall. the music is happy pop throwbacks and the drinks emulate that energy. every drink is a colorful girly happy buzz - the winner of the night was the pornstar. which of course they put sprinkles on because why not! it was not too sweet as the egg white foam balanced out the passionfruit. - the watermelon was very sweet and tasted like straight watermelon juice. The inside is dimly lit with a few tables along the side and is a perfect place to catch up with someone or for a date night. All the drinks were creatively served and not too sweet. Came in with a group of coworkers on a weekday evening. The venue is small but felt homey. We had a reservation and had no issues being seated right away. We ordered a couple cocktails and I ordered a non-alcoholic Aperol Spritz. It still tasted great even without the alcohol. We decided to share a bunch of small plates - Gyoza, French Fries, Spicy Popcorn Shrimp, Salmon Avocado Roll, and Crispy Rice. Out of everything we ordered, my favorite was the Crispy Rice. This newish hotspot for the area is deff a happening place. I had been meaning to come here for a while and finally did this past weekend. It is dimly lighted in this cocktail bar. Very nice bar area with some seats around it and alot of tables for a somewhat smallish place. I definitely suggest making reservations even if you are just going for drinks like we did. The drink menu is definitely on the interesting side. The menu is cool looking too. I had the SNS Pornstar Martini without the passion fruit in it though. It had eggwhite, vodka, raspberry and basil I think. It was topped off with cute and pretty rainbow sprinkles. My friend had the 007 Vesper Martini, which had Gin and Vodka in it mixed with some other things. He said it was very interesting and he enjoyed it more than he thought he would. He is not a big gin person. The staff here was nice but it does get pretty loud in here so for me it was tough to hear the waiters. Also, the tables are pretty close to each other in this bar. Unless you get the corner booth area which seems to be in its own little area. I would recommend stopping in if you are in the neighborhood. read more

The place has a nice atmosphere and the drinks seem interesting, but unfortunately, the service at the bar really took away from the experience. The bartender, the one person who should be welcoming and engaging, came across as rude and lacked any charisma. On a Friday night, good energy behind the bar makes a huge difference, and that was completely missing. I ordered a margarita, which is one of the simplest and most common cocktails to make. I asked for it really sweet with plenty of salt on the rim. Instead, it came out barely sweet and with almost no salt. For a $17 margarita, I expected much better. I've had to return the drink because I've had better margaritas for $12 at other places. While waiting for my friend, I had to wait with a glass of water because I didn't trust the way they made the drink. The bartender told me I either needed to order another drink or move, which felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. To be fair, the food was good and the space itself is nice. However, the bar service left a very poor impression. There are plenty of more affordable places where the staff are friendly and make guests feel welcome. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this place. Give this place a 6.5 read more

3.5 real rating I have a dear friend who lives in the area so we figured that next time I visited we go have a drink. She made reservations for 4:30 pm on a Sunday. The place is on the smaller side. The inner decor takes it a step up from your regular pub/bar. The cute pics on the wall is a reminder you are on the UES and not any hole in the wall in the city. When we arrived we self seated so not sure what the reservations thing was all about. There was one gentleman working behind the bar and he was the same one to come over and take our order. He was very knowledgeable about the drinks and able to explain the ingredients/notes for the drinks we inquired about. I of course went with the SNS Pornstar, like with a name like that how could I not and the fact that it had sprinkles on top makes it that much better. The drink it self tasted like a natural flavored raspberry lemon drops. My friend opted for the Cotton Candy which came with a big glob of cotton candy for garnish. We only had one drink each. While they did have a full bar I personally feel that there specialty/curated drinks are a one and done. If I had stayed for more cocktails it would had simply been drinks from the bar. I'm giving them 0 stars because of a horrible experience I had with them but need to give them 1 to get this live. I made a reservation over text with them for an engagement celebration several weeks in advance and I got the confirmation it was all set. I even specified it was a special occasion. The day of, I called to confirm and they had a private party and they said "we notified you several times" meanwhile I never got any missed calls or voicemails from the number. They even said we emailed you but I never gave them my email. The fact they tried to lie about notifying me and didn't own up to the mistake left a bad taste in my mouth. They tried to offer us a table at their sister restaurant which was not the vibe we were going for. My party ended up pivoting but was very disappointed in their lack of organization and way they handled the situation and I will not be giving them any of my business. Stay away from this place if you are black We came in for Valentine's Day and sat at the bar for a couple of drinks. After we finished our second drink, a waiter who was not even serving us walked over and abruptly asked if we were done because "people are waiting in line." Before we could even respond, he said he would "get our check," ran our card, and added a tip without asking or getting our consent. There was no clear notice that gratuity was included, and we did not authorize anyone to choose a tip amount for us. As Black diners on Valentine's Day, the way we were rushed, dismissed, and pushed out ruined our evening. It also left me wondering if we would have been treated differently if we were two white women. It felt like they made an assumption about us because we are Black, and then decided they could select their own tip and kick us out. I do not recommend this place. I recently stopped by this bar and had a really great evening. What stood out the most to me was the bartenders and their personal approach. They're friendly, attentive, and actually take the time to talk with you, recommend drinks, and make you feel welcome. It's the kind of place where you can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do. The cocktails were excellent -- well balanced, creative, and clearly made by people who know their craft. You can really taste the care that goes into each drink. The atmosphere is also great: relaxed, comfortable, and just a really nice place to spend some time, whether you're with friends or just sitting at the bar enjoying a drink. I did notice one recent negative review and honestly it felt more like someone bringing their own frustration rather than a fair reflection of the bar. Sometimes people project their own mood, and that energy ends up in a review. My experience was completely the opposite -- great drinks, great people behind the bar, and a really nice vibe overall. Loved how the sweetness just barely covers the alcohol flavors. -Butter Washed Old Fashioned - if you like smokey drinks, this is the one for you! The whiskey drink comes with a strong smokey flavor along with a live-torched sourdough cheese bite! -Sexpertise - For my gin lovers, including myself, this drink had strong herbal flavors amongst fruity yuzu flavors. For snacks, I wish I got to try more apps, but the brussels sprouts exceeded my expectations for a bar snack. It was well cooked with a good balance of charred leaves, all covered with a savory aromatic sweet soy glaze with sesame oil. Intimate setting with dim lighting and adjustable table lights. This new spot is not only cozy but also a bit of a hidden gem in the neighborhood. The staff is incredibly friendly and very accommodating, though it was busy. The drinks were some of the more unique combinations of flavors I've seen and we tried three of their specialty cocktails. Each one was delicious and strong. From the boozy old fashioned which was honestly a show to watch being prepared to the Cotton Candy Drink there is literally something for everything. All of the drinks were expertly curated and well balanced. I loved how you could simply tell the bartenders what type of drinks you liked and they recommend a drink that's perfect for you. I also loved how there were levels to the drink offered. If you preferred something sweet, light or boozy all of the drinks catered to exactly what you want. There are many, many hack mixologists, out there. Who has not eyed a cocktail menu, assessed the usually high prices listed there, and have taken a leap of faith (and a hit to the budget), only to be disappointed by a "cocktail" that has the sophistication of a high school concoction? Shaken not Stirred is not a hack cocktail bar, nor has it hack mixologists. We were warmly welcomed by Gilberto as he mixed and shook and stirred and poured libations: candy pink to clear, smooth to sultry, martinis to mezcal-based, cocktail to mocktail, and more. Gilberto shared his excitement about the cocktail menu, how he is aiming to change it up with the seasons. It was easy and clear to see his mind innovating and his dedication to his craft. The interior boasted mid-century decor with tasteful mirroring and gold lines. There's a nod to James Bond (the name of the bar, model cars, a poster of a Vesper martini), as well as a handful of funky art pieces depicting Samuel Jackson and Mona Lisa - with some neon - why not? The music checked the box. Not to forget, the flatbread and kale salad we ate were delicious. Tasty and tasteful. Grateful! Keep this standard! This is not to be taken for granted, as most cocktail bars do not have great food. Because there was no visit to the restroom, I cannot attest to its cleanliness and potential coolness. Went with two friends. Ordered an appetizer and each ordered one drink and a meal. Server came memorizing the whole order and did not put in the appetizer or one of my friend's meals. He proceeded to say "you still want it?" after realizing it wasn't put in. He then brought the appetizer after all of our plates were clean to which we rejected and he took back with attitude. He needed assistance from my friend on how to split a check. Staff was confused and clearly upset when we had an issue.
