Upon arriving, part of what I liked was that the theatre definitely gave off Arizona vibes with its Native American architecture. We sat at the upper level. Another thing I like is that it's an intimate theater. This means you'll have a good view pretty much from anywhere you sit, including in the back which is where we were. The seats are reasonably comfortable and we enjoyed the performance. During the intermission, I got a local beer which was reasonably priced for an event venue. All-in-all, a great experience. Support the arts! I joined their email list to keep up with the performances they hold throughout the year.

This was never communicated ahead of time--nothing on the tickets, no warning, nothing. I asked about a refund, and the on-site manager--who appeared very young and inexperienced--told me he'd have to "check with higher-ups." There was no attempt to resolve the situation or offer any real help. Just dismissive and unprofessional. Sure, I could have taken my purse back to my car, but it was parked over a mile away. That's not a reasonable solution once you're already at the venue and in line. Policies like this need to be clearly communicated in advance. Leaving people stranded at the door is unacceptable. Overall, a frustrating and poorly managed experience.

After just one performance by the Something Something Theater, I'm completely hooked. They produce…read morethe kind of thought-provoking, moving pieces that I haven't seen elsewhere in Tucson. Everything is thoughtfully put together to pull you into the production. I just visited the last production of Dov and Ali, a beautiful story of people from different backgrounds, faiths, and ages who are struggling with reality and their true self. There are only 4 actors in this play, so each one really has to carry a strong presence, and they did. By the end, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Really beautifully done. Their next performance is Taming of The Shrew (an adaptation) which I can't wait to see.

The actors are the same, so you get to know them and their different personalities. Season ticket holders get seats in the front with their names on them - such a nice touch! They also do a chat about the performance after it's over. It's very close to the U of A campus, giving it a great location, and it's a cool looking space inside and out. There are fresh baked cookies, and coffee and water for a donation as well. I just enjoy the owners who speak before the performances, and just everything about this place! It's special!

I couldn't imagine someone in a wheelchair coming here. My parents almost tripped down the stairs due to the poor markings on the ground. It was quite a trek going up and down the stairs. I didn't feel like heading to the gift shop or concessions stand because it would've been a full-on workout. I go up stairs on the daily so I needed a little break once and a while! Tucson Arena's staff are pleasant for the most part. There's a few socially awkward people but I had a good time. The security out front was super polite and greeted us appropriately. I felt safe throughout my visit. There's several concession stands with standard fare (burgers, tacos, nachos) and specialty stands with Italian ice cream, mini-donuts, and açaí bowls! Tucson Arena is inside the Tucson convention center, so it's a massive property! The arena seats a bunch of people and there's several good views. This isn't to say there's a few obstructed zones, however, we enjoyed our visit to see the Tucson Roadrunners nonetheless. Bathrooms are easy to find and kept clean. Everything is a walk here, so expect to head towards the back of the arena to use the facilities. Overall, I'd recommend visiting for an event. The walkways are spacious and the seats are comfortable, minus the scarce leg room.

I came here to watch my first arena football game in eons, and while I had a good time it was in spite of the accommodations. As many others have said, the seating here is so old it's built for a much more petite cohort of Americans. If you are a larger person, it is absolutely unforgiving and I cannot imagine how they would manage a sold-out crowd comprised of the general population. The refreshments are mediocre (my popcorn was almost room-temperature) and I was waiting in line for 15 minutes despite arriving well after the game started. Even just getting here feels like a hassle. I took a Lyft, and the drop-off was far away from the entrance, with minimal signage directing you toward where you're supposed to go. It's somewhat intuitive, but for a venue of this size you shouldn't have to wander around until you stumble upon the correct gate. I really don't want to sound like a snob, but it kinda feels like whoever owns this place has put the bare minimum of effort into the comfort and design of the entire space. It's got the soul of a dead mall that saw its heyday in the 90s. Nobody actually WANTS to come here, they're just sort of held hostage by it being one of the only places capable of hosting certain events in a midsize city.

Parking and walking was easy. We bypassed the crowd by arriving about 10 minutes before the start of the show, so both the line to check-in and the bar were short. As others have mentioned, there is a metal detector at check-in and there is a size limit on bag size. The ushers were super helpful and I was surprised to see they had booster seats, which I hadn't considered brining. I am glad they offer them, it came in handy. The show itself was fantastic. The costumes were lovely, the screenplay was humorous, and the performances were all solid. We're not season ticket holders but are considering it for the future. Our daughter loved the show.

Still have to go through a metal detector, and only small bags are permitted. Shows usually have an intermission. Bathrooms can fill quick, especially at crowded shows. But appreciated his suggestions and effort. Now for the bad stuff. They have a jazz club attached. I figured the whole place would have that ambience but was disappointed that wasn't the case. Generic pop on the patio and inside is very noisy. The preferred dress of patrons appears to be gym shorts and t-shirts. Drinks were a little weak so I switched over to bourbon on the rocks. But the prices are reasonable. Maybe a nice pre show stop if you're going to the Century room.

I asked for a recommendation for a mocktail at the Tap room, and the bartender said water. My friend ordered a mocktail and she said he was right, she should have ordered water, the drink was not worth $10. It's always fun to go downtown for a concert, there's so much to see and do.
