She started my service by bringing me into the salons "wash room", which is a separate room in the salon that has a uniquely relaxing vibe. The music is peaceful (and different than the music in the rest of the salon, which is much more up beat) and the lights are dimmed to a perfectly relaxing tone. Once inside the wash room, Erin offered me my choice of 2 free "upgrades". The upgrades were offered because I was a new customer (despite the fact that I was not local, they still gave me the upgrades for free). I chose the hot towel treatment & 5 minute hand/arm massage but some of the other options included: 5 minute shoulder massage, 5 minute scalp massage, etc. After a very relaxing & invigorating hair wash & complimentary hand/arm massage & hot towel treatment, I was taken to Erin's station where she proceeded to give me an excellent blow-out in just 30 minutes - since I had told her that I needed to catch a plane in a few hours. I appreciate the fact that she was conscientious of my time limits, yet did not compromise a bit of the service I received. I left the salon with great looking hair & extremely happy. The best part about it was that I got all of this for the price of $35! This salon is super clean (and each brush is sanitized after each client), the atmosphere is chic & relaxing, the service is on point, the prices are more than reasonable & the product line is all great! The bride ended up crying in the chair, and I started crying too, and no one working there cared or showed the slightest bit of empathy. When I expressed my disappointment on the way out, the girl at checkout (don't know her name, but she had pink hair) dismissively told me that ponytails are considered an "updo," and they didn't have enough girls trained in a ponytail to do my sister's. When I pointed out that ponytails are listed under the blowout section on their own website, she just looked away and didn't respond. No acknowledgment, no apology--just silent, rude indifference. The ponytail didn't include any pinning of hair, which is what they define as an "updo". They ruined what should have been a joyful, memorable part of my sister's wedding weekend. I was then informed that the Silk Press Experience would not be available until August 11th. I explained that your website had allowed me to book the August 1st appointment and that I had already received a confirmation. Instead of acknowledging the issue, I received a snarky response stating that I had booked the appointment with the Botox doctor. Respectfully, it is highly unprofessional for a salon's booking system to allow customers to schedule a hair service with a Botox provider in the first place. The booking platform should clearly separate providers and services or prevent incompatible bookings altogether. Had I not reached out beforehand, I could have arrived for an appointment that wasn't actually valid, wasting both my time and effort. This experience was frustrating and avoidable.
