I purchased a 2017 F250 diesel truck and within a few months my DPF check engine light came up. I took it back to the dealership 3 times and each time they said it would take a week to repair!! I asked the mechanic to enable my OCR (operator command regen) function so I can have the freedom of performing my DPF cleaning; however, they DID NOT do what I had requested but they changed all my display functions and refused to fix. Manny Hernandez the service manager said it was not their responsibility and denied ownership of their poor work and stated that they did not touch my functions. I informed him that the display says there is a mile calculator of 10-miles that says when the last display manipulation was changed. One would think with such hard evidence they would take ownership??? Well not at all! Also, while I was waiting a customer brought in a mustang and was told the car was ready. They brought it out and after he paid the car did not start!!! WOW! They ended up rolling the car back into the garage. This is a pathetic organization with very poor customer satisfaction and employees that are a reflection of the management team with a short sided vision which is to rip-off customers for a quick buck! We have purchased a vehicle from this Ford dealership before. I was hopeful that I would be treated with the same utmost attention AFTER I signed the documents. But I'm losing faith. First, I had to call them about my registration and license plates because the temporary plates were nearing expiration. Someone from the dealership told me they needed to ask me a question first. Why didn't THEY call me? Plus, after paying off my vehicle, I had to inquire the whereabouts of my title. The bank lien holder informed me that Shamaley had not mailed off the title to them even after two months! I fulfilled my part--I paid off my vehicle; the rest is their responsibility. The DEALERSHIP needs to ensure that I get my registration BEFORE the temporary plates expire and to ensure that my title gets to the lien holder STAT, so I, in turn, can get my title. I just called them the other day to ask about something else; the receptionist transferred me to someone in finance. The call went to voicemail; I left my name and number to no avail! Other than friendly service by the salesman, this place embarrassed me infront of other customers.. I was trying to buy a vehicle which they gave me they key and let me drive off with is saying i was good to go. vehicle needed an oil change, had flat tire pressure icon on dash, needed gas, and needed to be cleaned. So i returned on a Tuesday to have them service the car. During the 3-4 hrs that i waited, they never performed any service on the car, instead they told me i wasnt approved and was not able to leave with the car. As I tried to make sense of it, considering the fact that i had the car for 3 days already w/o being approved, although they had told me i was, but they still didnt allow one more day. They made me remove all my belongings from the car infront if people. What was 1 more day going to cost them? i needed that 1 day to remove my stuff at home and bring the car back. As i removed the stuff i realized car still had no gas and had the tire pressure light on, as well as no detail cleaning. They did provide me with a ride home, and on the way home they called me saying im approved. First they said yes, then no, then once again yes. I felt like they were playing with my emotions. Once again i return to take the car indefinitely. While im doing the paperwork, they still hadn't addressed the issues on the car that i had initially came in for. Finally, im good to go as far as the paperwork, about 30 min later car is finally done. As I put my stuff back in, i realize car wasnt detailed fully as their was stains on center console and door panels. I asked the salesman about it and his response was "we dont have the tools to do so". I said ok. As i drive home, tire pressure light comes back on, (keep in mind all tires are properly inflated) and the salesman response was "we also dont have the tools to fix that here) at this point im convinced this place is full of bs. They also failed to provide me with a temporary paper tag, which i had to ask for and return once again to pick up. Im not blaming the salesman, im blaming the management for not properly training their employees, they were so quick to jump on a sale to make a buck that they ended up realizing there was more to the steps of selling a car and ended up embarrassing me. They told me to bring the car back the next day at 7 am because they needed it for 4 hours and it was getting late that day. I took my car the next day at 7 am and got my car back at 6 pm (11 hours! The whole day!) I was left without any information regarding the progress of the service ( I called many times during the day and I was told every time that the service manager Is going to call me back, but he never did!). To make the story short they end up damaging the paint on the side door of the car and hiding it with some white paint. They did not update the recall information and not answered my requests. Steer clear from the service department at this location especially if you're traveling or a single car family. If I could give a negative star review I would. First of all the tow was about 3 hours late to get us to the dealership. Then they had our car for 3 weeks. It took them over two weeks for them to give us a rental car because we didn't have their extended warranty. So ford, and this dealership specifically, doesn't seem to care about their customers. Three weeks to get our car back after calling once daily (or every other day) to get an update. They didn't even run a diagnostic on the car after having it for over a week. This dealership left my one car family without a car for weeks. I'm still trying to understand how that was remotely acceptable. We might not have had the "extended" warranty, but our car was still under warranty. Esther, I can maybe understand not wanting to deal with me or my husband because we were unpleasant, I do feel bad that she got the brunt of it, however, every time I called she was never there to answer the phone from the beginning. Raul, their service manager, did nothing to help us nor did anyone apologize to my husband when he picked up the car. On top of this, when they did finally call to tell us that our car was ready, it was not. They had not fixed our car and we were told that it would be ready now in another few days up to a few weeks. Also I played phone tag with the customer service representative and I still never finally got back in touch with her. We did everything right and attempted to ask Ford corporate for help because we understood that there wasn't much the dealership could do. They didn't offer us any options or different avenues and basically just told us to kick sand until they got to our car. Two hours later and they hadn't even started the oil change, and told me that there were two cars ahead of me. What's the point of scheduling an appointment when you still have to wait in line?! I took my Shelby GT350 for just an oil change. When I picked it up I noticed a burnt smell so I decided to stop and check under the car. I noticed that the engine cover and oil pan was all splashed with oil and leaking oil. I was in shock that the kids they have working there don't have the decency of wiping the excess oil off. It's has so much oil that I can't tell if it's leaking or what, because every time I stop I notice drops of oil. I will be calling them in the morning. Came for an oil change that I was promised for free, ended up taking two days because when they called me to pick it up the first day I was told to come back that next day when they could have called me to let me know instead of having me drive across town to waste my time. The second day they called me around 4-5pm saying the car was ready, came and picked it up till my buddy noticed the car was smoking really bad.I got home and popped open the hood and noticed they destroyed some plastic trim that holds the intake in place and covers the radiator. I called them and they admitted that 2 people "test" drove my car without my permission or even letting me know. After all it was just an oil change so they had absolutely no reason to drive my car at all.once I got back to the service department, the department manger came to talk to me for 2 minutes and walked away after I called my car a "POS" because a bunch of minor things were wrong with it that should have been fixed before selling the car. He was the man who drove my car without my permission and would not give me any explanation as to why there was so much oil leaking from my exhaust tips and the damages I showed him that were not there before I dropped my car off there for the free oil change I was promised when purchasing my corvette. The man drove my car around town knowing it was smoking badly and not once did he or anyone in the department tell me they drove the car or that it was even smoking and oil was spewing from the exhaust tips. On top of that he cracked a piece of my aftermarket side skirt off during his drive around town. Their final conclusion was to keep the car and continue driving it around town till they burn the rest of the over poured oil that's leaking. Absolute worst experience in my entire life at a dealership. I just want them to do the right thing and pay for the damages they did to my car. Dishonest Thieves IMO. We had car trouble with an older Lincoln and took it in to have the "experts" check it out. Chuy told us that the spark plugs were arcing and needed to be replaced along with the wires, also that we needed a new DPFE sensor. He insisted that a tune-up and new sparks would get us on the road and that the DPFE couldn't be done until after the weekend if we wanted to wait. He said the sparks and tune-up would take ~4.5 hours of labor. He also quoted ~4 hours of labor for the DPFE sensor. I wanted to have the sensor replaced instead of the sparks but for some reason they had time for the sparks but not the sensor. They could do the sparks Friday, but whether we had those done or not we'd have to wait the weekend to do the DPFE because they allegedly didn't have time for it until Monday. DH figured that the sparks would do something beneficial since we were assured there was a problem with them, so agreed to pay the ~$700 (an 5x inflated sum, you think??). We looked at the used sparks they removed, and they did not even look remotely worn. The 'repair' did absolutely nothing helpful for how the car ran. Total scam. Not only that, but we looked ourselves under the hood and a vacuum hose was disconnected on both ends (!) from the EGR valve, so we reconnected it. (You think they did that to make sure we came back for some more overpriced repairs??) We also bought our own code reader, and based on that reading we replaced the Mass Air Flow Sensor (thank you AutoZone!) With the two repairs we did ourselves, it performed significantly better and at least got us across the country where we could have the car repaired by honest people. I bought a brand new 2020 Ford Explorer. Terrible customer support in the service department. I've taken my vehicle 3 times with a couple of issues that for the most part have been solved except for a delay that the vehicle has been having when you put it in reverse. Every time that I have dropped the vehicle for this delay to be solved, I've been told I would get a call for an update and that has never happened. Last time that I picked up the vehicle from the dealer was on December 11th, a case with Ford was opened and I was supposed to get a call back within 48 hrs for an update which hasn't happened after a full week. read more

My daughter is a young active-duty service member, stationed at Fort Bliss. In early April, she and her young active-duty boyfriend went into the dealership to look at a used Kia that she had seen listed online. When she arrived at the dealership, she was helped by a salesperson named Travis - after looking online, I'm going to assume that this is Travis York. Travis informed my daughter that the vehicle she was looking for was no longer available, but he had an almost identical vehicle for sale at his home. My daughter and her boyfriend went to Travis's home where a Kia was parked. My daughter and her boyfriend were then told that this was not actually Travis's car. It actually belonged to a third-party and Travis was just brokering the deal. Both parties came to an agreement on price after both Travis and the seller assured my daughter that the car was in good order, no issues, one owner, etc. My daughter secured her financing, and Travis scheduled her to come back to the dealership to do the paperwork for the sale. A month after taking possession of the vehicle, the car began showing severe issues. The car was taken to the service department at the Kia dealership, and was told that not only had this car been in a pretty severe wreck, but the engine was not correctly repaired, and additional damage was inside. My daughter went back to the dealership and was told by the sales manager, (I'm not sure which one,) that Shamalay Ford was not responsible because they didn't sell the vehicle. My questions begin with - Why does Shamalay Ford allow it's salespeople to make side deals instead of showing the customer other options at the dealership? Since the salesperson offered the vehicle at the dealership and had the paperwork done at the dealership, why would this not be a dealership deal? Is Shamalay Ford encouraging it's salespeople to not sell piece of crap cars through the dealership so they don't have to pay for the repairs? Why would Shamalay Ford tout it's love for the military, while taking advantage of young active-duty service members? I know that this is a long post, but I hope this will stand as a warning to others. read more

Let me start by saying the building itself is pretty nice and has several amenities customers can use for free - i.e. Wi-Fi, TV, popcorn, refreshments. If you have to wait for anything, it's a great place to wait. With that being said, the experience I'm primarily reviewing pertains to the service department. I came here back in May regarding getting a part replaced on my F-150 that had been recalled. I spoke with a representative named Chuey Rosales and he told me they didn't have the part and that it was back ordered but would arrive by the end of June. I said that's fine and Mr. Rosales said he'd stay in touch. After not hearing anything, I called at the end of June and he said it still had not arrived. I was irritated, but I was told that since the part was backordered, I wouldn't have to pay for the service so whatever. I was gone for the next month but still didn't hear anything from Ford. Finally in September I called again and was told my original advisor - Chuey Rosales - didn't work there anymore. No one called and told me that or followed up with me - infuriating. I brought my truck in again at the end of September on a Wednesday and this time spoke with the service advisor Manny. He said the part was still not in but would be on the upcoming Monday. So I came back Monday fully expecting to be let down and fully prepared to go ballistic on any poor soul in the building that worked for Ford until I got the part and also a new truck for free, just because. Much to my surprise and to the relief of the unknowing Ford workers, the part was in! I dropped my truck off on Monday afternoon and picked it up Tuesday early afternoon. Finally the part is replaced and my truck is good to go! I totally can see how Shamaley Ford has such bad reviews, but my experience, while not great, wasn't as bad as others. My service advisor Manny didn't seem to care too much about me or my truck which was somewhat annoying but the actual service itself, when I finally got to that step, was good. Took my brand new Focus I bought from them couple of weeks ago. Took it there because of a chunk of dry paint on top of the handle bar. I guess you could call it a big orange peel. Brought it in before 3rd July and didn't get started until Monday because it had to get approved from Ford. Picked it up today and the paint job looked like it was painted in a garage. Sands are are trapped inside the paint. Moldings weren't put in properly; I had to re-bend it so it looked factory. Not a happy camper!!! read more

I went to their service center to get my Texas safety inspection ticket (I lost mine so I needed to get a new one) so I could get my car registration changed from Arizona to Texas. I waited for a full hour and they finally brought me a copy of my old form. I later found out that the state only accepts original copies. I had to return the next day to find out they needed to do a full new inspection to get me the original. I said okay and took over two hours to get it done even though I was the only person there. When I finally got it, they confused my middle name with my last name on the paperwork and had to redo the whole thing. This business A: Does not understand state law to help the customer B: Cannot read a Texas drivers license even though they are from Texas and C: Take forever even when they are not busy. Horrible horrible customer service. Ford Fiesta has had 3 different door latches just stop working over the past year. Doors won't stay closed, and I've had to tie one door to another. This last door latch (today) gets taken in and ordered to pay for it now. It's faulty, haven't paid til now! Thomas is the manager that pretty much told me I either paid or walked away with the faulty door. He didn't even try to see if Ford was aware of these issues, seeing it's not my first problem with the latches. It's now to the point where I don't want to take it in for any reason. High disappointed in the customer service we received today at Shamaley's service department. Waited OVER 8 HOURS !!! We had called yesterday different ford dealerships in El Paso but they didn't have the part. Then we called shamaley, after long holds, they confirmed they had the part we needed we made an appointment for 7am, first car in the morning. Isaiah, a service advisor, also got us a quote the service would only take 2-3 Hours. We arrived to the shop at 6:40 to make sure we were the first car in the door. We checked in at 7:10- Isaiah was late. Then they took it back. It wasn't until 8:40 that we got a first update that "it was going to take longer than expected because they needed to take off more pieces". Fine. Then at 9:40 we had to go look for our service advisor Isaiah and he informed us the part was not on site and they have to get it from the warehouse. (Even though we called to confirm that yesterday.) At 10:40 we talked to the service manager, Manny and he said he would talk to the parts manager and get back to us with how long it works be. He never got back to is on that. By 11:25 we had to go and check in with Isaiah, he informed us that the part had just got there. Over 4 hours after we were checked in!!! We didn't see anyone working on our car until 12:45!!! It took 2.5 hours for them to do the labor on the car. Then it was a joke trying to find all the staff members to sign off on our vehicle so we could leave. Yes, they ended up discounting our bill but the $60 they took off did not make up for the time we lost. We did not leave until 3:46pm. (Our appointment was at 7am) Save yourself the time, go to a different dealership. And if you have to go there, AVOID ISAIAH, worst customer service from him!!!! read more

Service is the worst I have seen. I took my car for repairs(under warranty) and it sat there for two days before the looked at it. I was suppose to get a rental and the service manager did not call me regarding the rental. Totally bad experience. I would never take my car for service there if it was not for the warrenty. The first time I went there for a tire change it took them 5hrs to change one flat tire because they had an oil change promotion going on and we're super busy (despite me having an appointment). However, my second visits for a 50k mile service and oil change went much quicker, only 1.5hrs. And I have to admit, the staff is very friendly, there's free WiFi, and they have an amazing lounge area with tons of chairs, free drinks and popcorn, and TVs. Clearly in the business of ripping people off. Tried to tell me they would have to pay for the "recall" on my car, even though recalls are preformed free by the manufacturer. Then tried to tell me I needed new tires when they are less than three months old. In the business of taking advantage of people. When they "appraised" my vehicle, they clearly abused it. Sun roof was left open while it was raining... The stereo was blasting to a station that I did not have it tuned to, and trash was left in my car from a drink! It took them over an hour to "appraise" it. Then after I demanded my keys so I could leave, they had misplaced a set of my keys. Ridiculous. read more

I went to get a new car on November and the salesman told me that they will finance the payment but it was a very high interest rate. I got a better deal with my bank and my bank sent them a check. In response, Ford wanted to give me a lower interest rate and I accepted think that they would refund the check that the bank had already sent. However, this didn't happen. While they were getting their monthly payment from my account, the bank was also issuing money. So they were essentially charging a double monthly payment. The finance director did nothing to solve this issue, while the salesman just kept telling that they will send a check back to the bank to refund me. After more than two months, I finally got in contact with my bank but they haven't taken care of the extra interest that they charged me. I am never buying a car from them again. read more

If I could give them less than one star It was the worst experience of my life. I took my ford motorhome into the dealer with the parts in hand. They spent an hour on my vehicle before they realize it was the wrong parts they called me and told me that I need to edit additional work. Then the estimate went from 573 to 901. What I don't understand is how the mechanic after tearing down one wheel didn't realize that he had the wrong rotors and brakes and yet he still broke down both front wheels. They called my husband and explain that to him. When we arrive at the dealership they say that we owe $130 for one hour of mechanics timethat is a ridiculous highway robbery I will never go back to it for shamley of the Ford. My husband isn't even a mechanic when he went back to the service area as he walked up he immediately realize that the rotors were not the right one so how does a mechanic that makes $130 an hour not realize before he breaks down the other wheel there for costing us $130. I asked to speak with the manager in regards to this out rages charge. The manager refused to reduce my payment after the mechanic knowingly tore down both front wheels after he knew they had the wrong parts this place is a rip off and I would never take my car there but what I will do is go right across the street to the break shop right catty corner to Bank of America and it is half the price tire did you go home so buyer beware do not go to Ford.when we took our motorhome from Ford we took it directly across the street by 12 o'clock and a little after 1 o'clock all the brakes were done brake pads rotors Calibrators and brake fluid drained and flushed. read more

The worst service I've ever had in 50 years of owning a car. My 2013 Ford Escape was towed to Shamaley Ford May 18, 2017. It needed the battery and the passenger-side door handle replaced. They finished the repairs on May 26, 2017. The delay, apparently, was that the wrong door handle was sent to them 2 times. The problem, for me, was that they never called me to explain the delay. I had to call them to find out what was going on. Terrible customer service. Then, as I was about to leave with the car I noticed the inside door panel was loose. So they took the car around back and fixed that. Then, I noticed the battery light was on. So they took the car back in and were gone a long time. When the service manager finally returned to car to me he said they couldn't find anything wrong and acted like I was an idiot for even mentioning the battery light problem. In El Paso we really only have 2 options as Ford warranty customers:Viva Ford or Shamaley Ford. I live close to Viva, but their service is horrible so I drive clear across town to Shamaley. Horrible customer service. You walk in and everyone is on the phone and acts like you're not there. They jump whenever a Lincoln owner comes in or someone in a top-line vehicle. I know because I have driven my Platinum in and they fell over themselves to greet me and I drove my daughters Fusion in there and no one even looked up. The management is even worse. Spend your money elsewhere. I have already purchased two vehicles from Classic Ford in Galveston. Yep, I'd rather drive 12 hours out of my way to buy a vehicle than shop locally at Shamaley. Brought this up with their service manager and he was very condescending. This place is laughable at best. I don't understand how El Pasoans, much less true Texans, allow this place to stay open. I guess people here are used to getting treated like crap. If I could give this place 0/5 stars I would but the Yelp programmers haven't added that ability yet. read more
