Solid BBQ joint... I was expecting something more sit down,rather than order at a desk, but ok, no problem, I was totally okay with it. They have a very nice menu of sand, salad, platters, and sides, with your favorites and some not-so-usual items. My son had their BBQ pork sandwich, while I had their platter, it was very well made, sauce at the table and provided with the meal was tasty as well. No complaints. The service is typically good. However, this time, the cashier was lackluster and seemed to be rushing me. After I ordered, she sat down at a table with someone she knew, which is why she was rushing me. For the food, I ordered smoked lemon pepper wings. We really enjoy delivery from this restaurant. Delivery was free through Grub hub. Half rack of ribs, coleslaw and sweet potato fries were so delicious. My husband enjoyed his pulled pork and baked beans. Both the regular and spicy BBQ sauces were tasty. Will be a regular for us in the future. read more

We went to Shane's because we were hungry and it was something close I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant (I didn't know it was a franchise). The staff was very welcoming and let us take our time going over the menu. Once you order you take a seat and they bring the food to your table. I had the sampler that had ribs and chicken, the boyfriend had the sandwich. Both did not disappoint and we left suuuuper full (I took home half of my plate for a second meal). I know, I know, it is a franchise. But it has a local feel about it. Not to mention that they lease it from Valley Rescue Mission, so I like the non-direct support. Great food, good service, wonderful atmosphere, a TV to catch some sports, and some great sauce. Get the ribs!! The best deal is the Three Combo. You may need a to-go box. So, I reluctantly decided, with some urging, to give Shane's another try. The last time i visited, the staff just wasn't up to speed, so i thought that it might've just been an "off night." Shortly after arriving though, pretty much the same story. The food is OK, but they should hire a more professional crew. That's the fault of management right there. The customer service and the Management at this location is horrible, and that is being super nice. I was told when I asked to speak with a manager or 800 number, I was told, " This is privately owed so you can talk to me". That in itself says everything. Anytime staff are that comfortable being rude and nasty to a paying customer, it is a normal practice. Take my word. They made it crystal clear that the owner supports their behavior. And I have it all on video. Spend your money somewhere else, where they value your business, respect you as a person, and refund your money with no issues. read more

We have been 3 times now and this last time was best visit of all......My son and I were at Stars and Strikes two doors down and since their service is horrible we walked over to Shane's I ordered grilled tenders and fries and let the 3 yr old split with me. The cashier was kind and speedy. When the food came the employee that delivered brought extra basket, plastic cutlery and asked what else we might need and then checked back on us later! So we moved to this grand(lol) city eleven months ago. I've tried around four other BBQ places and they've all been horrible. My father visited recently so we decided to give this place a chance. I am so glad that we did! I got the sampler platter with Mac n cheese and the stew. I don't believe the Mac n cheese was homemade but honestly I didn't care bc it was good. Now the stew and meat platter... SO GOOD. The taste was great, was hot and not dry! Their sauce was AMAZING, like put a stray in the bottle and drink it amazing!! The chicken tenders here are fantastic! The meat was alright, but I think I was overwhelmed with the meat portions and couldn't really fully appreciate it. Mac and cheese and green beans were great, as was the buttered toast. Meaty! The front facing staff was very friendly, cheery and helpful, great attitudes. I dined in and the staff was very nice; helped me get my bearings in terms of where to sit and how the fountain beverages, utensils, etc. were laid out. I was a little lightheaded from starvation and didn't have my bearings all together, but the food there definitely resolved that situation! read more
