Great service and delicious bbq is hard to beat. My better half had the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese. Then I had ribs, mac and cheese with Brunswick stew. We had lunch here on a Thursday after the Army graduation. Walking in, we were greeted by the guy at the counter who was amazing. The kitchen crew yelled congratulations to our soldier. It was great! Then they brought us our food. We got rib dinners, the stew, spices of cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans, mac and cheese, hot and mild sauces, rib dogs, sausage dogs, pork sandwiches, red velvet cake, and chicken sandwiches. Then the pit master came in who was also so personable! The manager came to our table too and she was funny and also congratulated our soldier and said such nice things. We all (party of 8) decided we need this place (with these people) in New Jersey! Definitely stop here!!!!! Emerald Touch BBQ is easily my favorite BBQ in Columbus. The first time I tried it was a few years ago when they first opened their food truck. I saw some people post about them online so I decided to check them out. I've always struggled to find BBQ I like in Columbus but the moment I bit into one of those delicious ribs I knew I found something special. and now, some years later they have finally decided to open a physical location on River Rd. So now I don't have to wait for their food truck to be somewhere. Anytime I want to order their amazing rib plate or get some of their delicious Mac n cheese or brisket that just melts in your mouth I can just walk in! There is a reason Emerald Touch BBQ is a fan favorite here in Columbus! It's simply great BBQ. I personally recommend trying the rib plate with a side of their Mac n cheese and cabbage. And if they got Brunswick stew make sure to get it! It's filled with meat and seasoned just right. The Mac n cheese is baked and cheesy and the ribs are so good you don't even need any sauce! The meat falls right off the bone! And these aren't tiny ribs by any means. I highly recommend the Brisket as well but you won't see it on the menu as it's only cooked on certain days. But let me tell you. It is going to make your tastebuds slap when you try it! They typically announce when they're be cooking it ahead of time. The owners are just as awesome as their BBQ. They take the time to talk with you & make you feel like family. Now you won't be able to eat inside tho as this a pick up and go location. So just keep that in mind. I came here about three weeks ago while traveling. I usually try and stop in Columbus to try out different bbq restaurants since there are so many. The Emeralds Touch was a great surprise! I got the two piece rib plate that came with a side. I'm not usually a rib person but I may have to change, very tender ribs which I like. The potato salad I got as my side was delicious. I tried some of my dads mac and cheese that was amazing, I may get it next time! Simply put, this is the best all around soul food spot in South Georgia. Everything is incredible, the ribs are great, the potato salad was sent specifically from Jesus Christ. The Mac n cheese is the best I've had in years. The brisket should be award-winning. As someone who's lived in Texas, it was amongst top 5 Briskets I've ever had. When you have an owner to come out and greet you and thank you for coming in that's says a lot. It shows they care and don't take things for granted. In regard to the pork dinner, you will not find pork as lean with no fat as Emeralds. You can't say that for the other place on up the street we won't say it's name. Finally got to try this food truck yesterday for lunch and it did not disappoint! The BBQ pork was so tender and juicy and the cabbage was delicious! I also ordered a side of mac n cheese and let me tell you...I was born and raised in the south and I've had some great mac n cheese in my life but this was honestly THE BEST. I will be returning.
