A friend was in town and wanted to try a soul food buffet. We went around noon and I thought it would be packed, but there was plenty parking. Walking in, it's like most buffets, pay the cashier, then off to the food. The food was pretty decent, they had a few different tries of meat and vegetables to choose from. Our waitress kept our drinks full. They did have desserts, but I was too full to try to eat anything else.

An Augusta classic! This family run restaurant has been serving up great food for around 40 years. A trip today reminded me why. A buffet full of fresh made veggies and meats . The squash casserole and rutabagas were so delicious I had to get a second helping. Fried chicken was tasty and the fried pork chops were awesome. Tender and flavorful! Salad bar too with cole slaw and potato and pasta salad. Had to try the banana pudding and a delightful whipped key lime fluff. And course good cooking has to have sweet tea. The Kelly family has great food here so try it out.

Meh to just okay. Canned greens, canned green beans, etc. I don't like going to restaurants and paying for canned goods. Catfish was fried with flour instead of cornmeal, yuck. Place seemed dirty.

Mediocre food. Place didnt have a clean feeling. Bathroom had poop everywhere... DISGUSTING. One of the workers was heard saying and I repeat "Oh heck, I just crapped everywhere"... im grossed out. Im sitting here at the table disgusted. The food wasnt bad. Shrimp ans grits was good. Everything else was ... ok. Not bad and not slammin good. I wouldnt be back but I wouldnt discourage anyone from eating there.. despite the poopy situation.

Horrible. I cant believe that they charge $14 for an adult buffet. Who in their right mind would pay that much for this. When I asked the lady if they had a take out menu, she said very rudely we dont have take out menus so I left after that. I'll never come back here again.

Not bad, but not good either! Historically, I've been known to write extremely long reviews. I like telling you the who, what, when, where, why and how of my decisions to visit the place I'm reviewing in hopes that you feel like you were there with me. Some like to use sarcasm in their reviews or humor, some wordsmithing and bullet notes while others write very straight to the point. Still others enjoy detailing each aspect of the business from the food and service to the ambiance & decor. Unfortunately, The Harvest Table Buffet just doesn't inspire me to encourage others to come here for a meal in my traditional scribe. Although it seems to be a popular place, I couldn't help but wonder if maybe its because nothing else seems to be around this highly industrial area. The staff was as friendly as could be and reminded me of those old 80's diner sitcoms like Alice. I totally kept expecting someone to say "Kiss my Grits!" The decor is 1980's-ish old school for sure with plenty of southern food items on the buffet you'd find on the table at your grandmother's house for dinner. However, my grandmother was a far better cook than this! Best items were the chicken and fried fish. The meatloaf was practically inedible to me, like it was made from canned dog food instead of USDA beef. The veggies and other side items were okay, some much better than others. But overall I doubt if I would visit for a meal ever again. We were only briefly passing through, but I certainly hope to find some slap-your-mamma good food on our next pass through Augusta. There has got to be better soul food options than this in a city that honors their native son (James Brown) with his own statue. 2.5 stars overall 2017/17

If you've never been there, they will start you out with samples of all of their lemonade (which all of them are incredibly flavorful) and you'll inevitably get one because it's THAT good. The staff comes with recommendations to help you navigate the menu and they are so attentive and helpful. I'd go as far to say that they had some of the best service in Augusta. Now to the food, 10/10 I could not recommend them enough. I've had the honey lemon pepper wings and the loyalty platter. And it was so good. The honey lemon pepper wings were full of deep flavor and they give you at-least 10 wings with the plate. The steak and shrimp are the best seasoned meats I've ever had at a restaurant. I've also had a few nibbles of their seafood and ‍. Then when you're ready for dessert, don't worry you get samples too. The blue velvet is my favorite but all of them are award winning so you can't go wrong when it comes to Nattas sweet treats. Over all, great experience, great people, and great place. Get out and support local, it'll never disappoint. P.S. if you think it's pricey, you're wrong. You get what you pay for here. You get no less than two meals out of one plate.

Good bbq dinner with a colleague tonight…read more One of the more popular dining options in the south is BBQ. This one we chose tonight is a small chain, but offers an excellent bbq dining option. It's not a sitdown restaurant. You place your order at the counter then go find a place to eat. They bring out the food to you. Once you sit down, you're served with a plate of warm biscuits. There's some sort of cheese or something inside them, but it wasn't a distracting ingredient, just different. You always like it when you get the opportunity to try multiple types of bbq meat. The option for tonight was bbq rib and pulled pork. Not only are the portions very good. (had to get a to go box) but both meats tasted super. The pulled pork was tender and juicy. The ribs were large and plentiful. The ribs could've been a little more "fall off the bone", but we're good nonetheless. There's only one type of sauce to put on the ribs, but it was a good and not too tangy. With this meal option, you get two choices of sides. Being a big fan of coleslaw that was one side. The other side was corn on the cob. The coleslaw was sweet tasting. The corn on the cob had a bit of a hot bite to it. Both were fantastic. Thought to go with the sweet tea option, but since I had it earlier in the day, I chose otherwise.

First time trying Jim 'N Nick's BBQ, and overall I'd definitely come back!…read more The restaurant was clean, and our food came out nice and hot, which I always appreciate. The woman at the register was helpful when I asked what was popular on the menu since it was our first visit, but she wasn't very welcoming. She never really smiled, and I wasn't sure how ordering and seating worked at first. On the other hand, the server who brought our food was super friendly and made a much better impression. I ordered the ribs with baked beans and collard greens, along with the brisket mac & cheese bites. The ribs had really good barbecue flavor, although they were a little tougher than I'd prefer. The brisket mac & cheese bites were delicious, especially with the dipping sauce. The collard greens were pretty decent--slightly bland, but still enjoyable. The baked beans started off really good, but after a few bites they became a little monotonous and had a slight sour taste. I think they'd be even better with some ground beef or sausage mixed in. My son ordered the smashburger with mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was cheesy, gooey, and probably one of our favorite sides. The smashburger was just okay. It tasted like a regular burger, and I was expecting more of that crispy, charred edge that makes a smashburger special. The only other thing I'd mention is that we felt a little rushed while we were eating. Even so, the food was flavorful, the restaurant was clean, and I'd definitely stop by again if I lived in the area.
