This is the 3rd time missing items from my order. I've tried giving this establishment many tries - but they don't seem to care. Apparently no one checks the bags before they go out for delivery. If that was a process in place- this would t have happened again ! No brownie. I get charged for it, but not in my bag. Frustrating to happen constantly. Maybe they were out- near closing time - but why not be honest w the Dasher- she even asked if the brownie was in the bag. She was told it was. Where to start.... So many issues. 2nd time here and the first time was maybe over a year ago and we had no issues. Today: price for special was $14.99 but got charged $19.99 (regular price). Got charged an extra $1.00 for onion rings but that's not posted anywhere. We did get a refund for the overcharge of $5 but seems odd they would recommend a special and then charge us full price. Floors ware sticky, no matter where you walk your feet stuck to the dirty floors. Food was not great; Cole slaw had no flavor, chicken tenders were very salty. Ribs, Mac n cheese and beans were tasty best things we bought. I was there with 4 people and we all agreed we would not return, especially with the new BBQ restaurant that just opened down the street. Tonight my sister my son and I went into the restaurant to order a meal!! When we first walked in we were greeted with a smile from the young lady she was very nice and answered the questions we needed and gave us suggestions on what we should order! They werent rushing us or making us feel like we were bothering them they took care of us and made sure we hade everything we needed! My son doesn't eat out much but when I tell you HE ATE EVERY LAST BITE OF YALL FOOD!!! I was shocked but instantly relieved cause it shows y'all have great quality of food and how you cook it!!! Use to go to Shane's Rib Shack in Las Vegas a few times before they ended up closing. I was happy to see they were here in North Carolina!! There is a few locations around which is nice when you want some Chicken or Ribs etc. They have great Chicken . And here they have Brunswick Stew which they didn't have in Vegas. It's a southern thing I guess, it has a good taste a bit different than I've before but it's worth getting. Not many places sell this. When you check in on yelp you can get a free Peach Cobbler. This is definitely not for me. Very sweet and like pure sugar in your mouth! Some may like it but I couldn't eat it. The beans, are good and the ribs are good but the ribs they don't give you many. With the special you get 2 sides so you can pick 2 of the same thing as well Over all the food is always consistent here and I am happy I can eat here once in awhile! read more

Went in and placed a takeout order on a busy Saturday night. Staff at counter (Azlyn and two other young women) were courteous, professional and efficient. We ordered a Shane Sampler Plate (Pork) with sides of Hush Puppies, Brunswick Stew - and a BBQ Chicken Sandwich. Our order was ready in 10 minutes. Ribs tender, sauce on the Chicken Sandwich was the best I ever had. Chicken was chunk instead of pulled. Different but good. Restaurant was offering dine in seating. You place your order and sit. They bring it out to you. Seating looked ample, big screen TV in corner. Plenty of people had placed orders online or call in. Staff hard working and good. We will return. read more

I hate that i had to leave a bad review because i use to come her multiple times a week for over a year but the last few times I've had terrible experiences. I've been gives barley any fries and they were cold, a different time I've been given fries so brown that I couldn't even eat them and now I've been given a smothered pork sandwich that i couldn't eat because the meat was old and looked like coal and was so hard I asked for a different one and it take forever to come out and then when it does there was a hair in it. I hate to lose my favorite spot but until they get a new cook I won't be returning. read more

We came in for a first visit with a Buy One Big Daddy get one free coupon given out on the street at The Vet Day Parade. I ordered a combo so I could add slaw to my sandwich and tea. The BBQ sandwich was huge served on Texas Toast. Sorry but I'm just not a fan of their BBQ pork. I tried all the different sauces but it comes down to the meat. It didn't have that Smokey BBQ taste I like best. I may go back and try the ribs. It was a bonus that they give a free peach cobbler when you check in on YELP. The cobbler was very good. The service was friendly and we didn't have a wait on our food. The restaurant is nice and clean with booths and a couple of TVs. I usually order DoorDash and am impressed with the quality and food proportions so I wanted to try dining in this time. I ordered the wrong bbq pull pork sandwich and because I hate coleslaw , the manager graciously replaced it with the correct one even though it was my own fault. The sides were fresh and hot but I'm convinced my grandma was in the kitchen making the potato salad because WOW ! So delicious! Lastly it was meticulously clean in the booths and seating area and the ambiance was calm and relaxing and I really enjoyed lunch with my mom. We thought we would stop off for a quick bite to eat on the way back home to Columbia. (Quick it wasn't) we put in our order the ticket said 4:17pm at 4:54 pm (37 minutes later) we asked where out food was. We were told the tickets got stuck in the printer and our food will be out in 15 minutes. We finally got out food at 5:06pm I ordered pulled pork and half chicken. What I got was pulled pork and ribs. I ordered coleslaw instead I got a salad. I told the young guy that I didn't order the ribs or the salad. I got two sides with my meal, and I chose the potato salad, and Mac n Cheese. I also added the peach cobbler. Being new to South Carolina, I had never had peach cobbler until I came to Shane's. Love it! I would like to have had photos of the entrees as I'm a visual guy and tend to order things that look appetizing. My husband and I will travel just about anywhere to try ribs! So we decided to take a little drive from Asheville about 69 miles to Spartanburg South Carolina and it was a trip worth the drive. We ordered a full rack of baby back ribs,green beans, mac & cheese and a pint of peach cobbler. The ribs were absolutely spectacular incredibly delicious. My husband and I loved the sweet barbecue sauce there are four choices in sauces. The green beans are a large flat green bean deliciously tender and expertly seasoned. The mac & cheese was very creamy. But oh Lord I thought I was going to sing when I tried the peach cobbler we have been trying to find peach cobbler in three southern states Virginia,North Carolina and now South Carolina and we finally hit gold!!!! We have tried a lot of peach cobbler, it's one of our favorite desserts.and we both said this may be the best peach cobbler we've ever eaten. The perfect amount of cobbler and peaches it was creamy, sweet just delicious the best texture ever! Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and it was fairly busy. We took our time looking at the menus... there is a lot to choose from. You order at the counter then grab a seat. I went with the smoked wings and fries. Half hot buffalo and half lemon pepper dry rub. The food was a little slow to come out but dang it was worth the wait. These were probably the best smoked wings I've ever had. They were fall-off-the-bone perfection. They were large wings, which I expect when paying more than $1 per wing. The lemon pepper were seasoned very well giving you a sharp taste of the lemon pepper. The buffalo were not very hot to me but the sauce was tasty. The fries seemed to be fresh cut and were perfectly fried and well seasoned with a rub or something. Pet peeve - Ranch and bleu cheese dressing were not homemade. Although their pre-made cups tasted ok this should not be a thing as they are easy to make and taste much better. The service was great... several different people stopped by to check on us during our visit and spoke to us as we were leaving. Awesome! I will return! read more

The ribs were good, and the hushpuppies were good. Fries were average seasoned fries and some were little stale. The order was half rack of ribs platter and with tip about 25 dollars, which I thought was wildly overly expensive for what I got. This was my first experience here, and I won't go back. First of all, the staff were the most unprofessional young women I've ever seen in my life. They were 20 somethings going on 10 yr-olds, playing around with each other by the outside of door, walking in together, laughing and playing, and obstructing a customer, closed the door on me,...didn't even open the door for me, nor did they act as though I even existed when I got inside. They were walking around eating in the foyer--kind of a no no in terms of sanitation, even pre-COVID era. If I were a food inspector I'd have given a serious strike for this. The woman behind the counter when I walked in didn't even acknowledge me (maybe a manager?), and one of the girls--a cute black girl with a nosering was eating fries in front of me while milling around the register...she was eating food behind the cash register and finishing up before she asked me what I wanted!! She played around on her phone behind the register and I felt like I was going to be interrupting her very important phone business if I had asked a question, so instead, I just stood there feeling stupid. She also swallowed her words and I could not hear what she was asking me. And yet, she made me feel like a non native English speaker--which I am--or hard of hearing. I got the feeling that I was being snarked at by this girl. She handed me a pen that didn't write until I scribbled it. And I felt these girls were being insubordinate and churlish. Later, I smiled at her when she walked out of the kitchen and she scoffed at me. Wow! Rude. More evidence she's a child. In fact, I'd have forgiven all the above if this girl hadn't been--frankly--a dick. If I were a secret shopper or a manager observing this behavior, what I would say is that this nosering girl acts as though she is the daughter of the owner of this restaurant--because she acts as though she cannot be fired for ANY infraction. She acts as though maybe she's sleeping with the manager. She doesn't understand her role as a customer service employee of a restaurant. Or she's racist against white people. Or has problems with men. Or has problems with old people. Because I have to tell you, I'm actually a really nice person and I do NOT like writing YELP complaints like this one. The threshold has to be remarkably high. My recommendation is fire all three of those women working there today, and get some men to work there. Just so you know I'm not myself racist, hire all black males. Make sure they understand service, and are professional and kind when customer facing. read more

So let me explain why I don't order from you more than a couple times a year and those are getting less and less. This visit I bought a sandwich with NO onions, of course I got onions. I also bought a two item plate with ribs and pulled pork. I received no Texas toast. I had checked 2 spicy bbq sauce for the sandwich and two for the plate, I received two spicy and one regular. My last visit was a curbside, I sat outside while I watched people walkin order at the counter and a few mins later walkout with their food while o waited. I called and asked he said it will be ready in a few min, so I waited. All the time I'm sitting at the front door watching them, I called again this time he asked my name, and there it was sitting on the table for the last 15 min. If you want repeat customers you have to do better, this isn't Spartanburg 5 years ago, there are sooo many choices on where to spend my money. By seconding a previous reviewer, this was also my first time eating at Shane's Rib Shack. This will be my initial rating for now until I go back. The other people aren't lying about how good the service is -- it was fast and the women working up front were knowledgeable about the menu. So on my first visit I got a plate of six chicken tenders (which I got hand-tossed in buffalo sauce) and fries. I love their chicken tenders because they were of the calabash style like you'll get at FATZ. Even their blue cheese is chunky and yummy! Now their fries utterly disappointed me; they're basically repackaged Ore-Ida fries you can get at Ingles. Maybe they were just undercooked, but I expect a much better potato than that, hence this review being a high 3. But anyways, I'll talk more good, you should also try their peach tea -- it's the bomb! It captures that peach flavor very well. :) I think I would recommend Shane's for a little fast food barbecue, but if you get their fries, try to ask for them "extra crispy".
