We came here for Dim Sum for my niece's birthday. Unlike how it was in the past when the servers came around with carts for you to pick from, you choose what you want from a menu, the way you order sushi. I let others choose what we should have; except for spice, I'm not picky. It was only ok. I didn't care for the texture of a lot of it, as most of the meat seemed to be boiled, and the wrappings seemed a bit slimy and rubbery. And, we couldn't really tell which items were which, as everything tasted similar. It was ok, but nothing was outstanding. Even the tea was pretty weak. But, the service was good. I don't know how much Dim Sum usually costs, but for 4 of us eating it, 1 soup and 1 appetizer + one regular entree, the bill was just under $200. That seems very expensive to me, especially for mediocre Chinese food.

My favorite Dim sum please throughout Metro Detroit. Rice rolls, Mongolian beef, eggplant, sesame balls, shrimp friend rice all so good. This is a must try for authentic Chinese food. Staff comes around in carts with food, really cool experience and everyone is very friendly. Nice atmosphere on the higher end scale compared to most typical Chinese places.

Extremely authentic Chinese American Cuisine! My girlfriend and I have been craving a space that gives us that China town ambience, this place has everything. Lots of very delicious dim sum options which you cant find everywhere, we considered this a lucky find! Menu had jelly fish, chicken feet, tripe, white lotus buns, all the good stuff. Staff was very quick and kind, had us seated patiently and food came out at a typical pace. I will absolutely be coming back, it completely cured my New York sadness! Not to mention the building is beautiful, photos attached! Highly recommend!

Was here for dim sum, but this review is for dine-in / dinner. We ordered 4 dishes. All dishes were authentic. Service was quick. Menu is vast and can be daunting. We ordered what was recommended and what we craved: pork, tofu, casserole. Dishes were all flavorful and authentic. The pork belly was great: Slightly sweet soy sauce. The tofu lacked flavor but balanced the rest of the heavy dishes. The beef casserole was also pretty good and had some daikon (fried), tendon and some other cuts of beef. All in all a good meal. However, I cannot agree with what they are charging for these dishes. Each dish was greater than $20+. They are charging for the flavor, which is indeed unique. However At this price point I wouldn't come back. Also, red flag for me is that rice is charged, at a price point of $2 per bowl. Ludicrous if you ask me. We will bring our own rice next time. Service: They come once getting your order and they don't come back. That is expected for Chinese restaurants though, and you have to flag them down. Ambiance. Outside looks nice. Inside is indeed decorated. They try their best to be a high-end Chinese restaurant. Overall, we would try other Chinese restaurants and go back to restaurants we've been before, before coming back to this one.

Promptly seated. Packed with people at lunchtime. Many Asians eating there, made us think it must be pretty authentic. Everything was very tasteful. Could taste chicken in wonton soup, no watered down broth. Everything was served hot. Excellent hot tea, not watered down. Perfect seasonings on all dishes. Even the fried wontons for soup were yummy. Generous portions. Nice crunch to almond chicken. We'll be back!

I was craving dim sum and plotted my return here. Let me explain. I despise the traffic circles in the area and consequently don't shop or dine in this neighborhood, but I made an exception for this meal. It has been years since I visited here; the last time was during COVID when I did takeout. I noted a few changes since my last in-restaurant dining experience: The restaurant was less busy and less noisy than before. However, I was here after the lunchtime rush. The carts filled with food are gone. Instead, you order from a menu, similar to what you would do at a sushi restaurant. The picture menu is a big help. The portion sizes are sadly smaller but the prices are sadly higher. I miss the carts, quite frankly. I like to be able to order food as soon as I'm seated, and I think this is unique to dim sum. However, I don't appreciate placing my order, waiting a long time, and seeing the table that got seated after mine get their dim sum and special order items before I get my food. I ordered the usual: Siu mai: steamed dumplings with pork, shrimp, and mushrooms. Meatballs on watercress: Steamed meatballs on a small bed of watercress--these were smaller than before but tasty. Barbecue pork pastries: Chinese barbecue pork in a flaky pastry continues to be a favorite. I like both the sweet pork filling and the super flaky pastry. I did note that there was more pastry to the pork than before. Beef rice rolls: Steamed, thin "crepe" made of rice and filled with beef are topped with sweet soy sauce. This used to be my absolute favorite dish. I would order one dish for myself, no sharing allowed. However, the version today was mostly rice crepe with a small amount of beef. This is an ongoing theme of this visit and a reason not to return. Sesame balls: A sweet ben paste mixture is sealed in a glutinous ball and rolled in sesame. I enjoyed it a lot. Black bean spare ribs: My sister's favorite, these small pieces of pork ribs are steamed with fermented black beans. Note that you should expect bone shards. Spring rolls: Similar to the appetizers at Asian restaurants, the spring rolls with water chestnuts, carrots, mushrooms, cabbage (?), and celery were fine. Har gow: Steamed shrimp dumplings are a mainstay of our family's dim sums. The version here is fine; my parents make this a lot so I tend to be picky. Service was fine. The staffers cleared the small plates when they emptied, which was great.

One of the best dim sum I had in the states. I love all the food here and that aesthetic of the restaurant is amazing! Service is pretty speedy too!! Highly recommend!!

Lots of parking and nice interior but most dishes that were small and all below average. Dessert options were yummy though. + Meatball: liked that it was filled with vegetables but didn't come with the usual black vinegar sauce. (6/10) + Pork XLB: no juice, thick skin, and meat filling was too dense (4/10) + Runny egg yolk bun: perfect runny texture, fluffy bun (7.5/10)

What a wonderful discovery for dim sum. This is really the place to go if you need a fix for dim sum. We came here for dinner time so I will definitely check it out again on a weekend brunch hour. The dim sum menu is available all day. We ordered the usual and wasn't disappointed. Not as good as east coast Chinatown but close enough for suburban Michigan. Good enough variety and has all the obligatory dim sum items. We also ordered noodles and string beans from the menu and weren't disappointed. The flavor is right. We ordered a lot and didn't get judgement that we ordered too much for 2. Service is prompt and polite. Seating choice was good. Has booths. Would definitely come back!!

Went here for Dim Sum. So good! I love the ceiling and glass walls in this place. The staff is very friendly and fast. We had the Chinese broccoli, taro, sesame balls, bbq pork, shrimp balls, etc. everything was very tasty and looked amazing. All of our dishes came out fast and together. I recommend the sesame balls, stuffed peppers and eggplant, shrimp balls and Chinese broccoli and the baked cream bun.

When is dim sum, specifically on weekends? Is it still only brunch/lunch times or is it also offered for dinner?

Hi Liz P. My understanding is they have dim sum any time they're open. You order off the sheet, no carts.

Are you open on Christmas day?

    Yes, open Christmas Day.

We're long term customers hoping for some carry out. There's no message on their phone or anything on website, informing the public of their immediate plans. Would be a nice courtesy. Anyone have any ideas?

At the beginning of the closures, they did carry out. I picked up an order then. I haven't in a few weeks, but they did before. Good luck

During late night dim sum are the carts running or do you just order?

We only have cart service until 3PM. The late night dim sum you order each item.

Is a reservation required for Peking Duck?

Not when we ordered it. I do not believe they serve it during lunch.

Does anyone know the exact times they do dim sum?

Weekends they start at 10. Some stir fry items are not available until 11.
