Yummy House has been my go to Chinese food place for years!! I miss the days where you could sit and eat inside Pre-Covid. Now, they are a great takeout place with fast and reliable service. My favorites are the Wonton Soup, House Special noodles, and their Shrimp Tempura sushi rolls. Just got some tonight and it was so good. Prices have relatively stayed the same as well. Got Yummy House for the first time ever even though we live very close to this place and many people seem to enjoy it. We got it through Door Dash for a birthday dinner. The egg rolls seemed crunchy and delicious. I would definitely order again. We tried the sesame chicken, orange chicken, and General Tso's chicken. While they were all delicious, they quite literally all tasted the same. Still, all not bad. We had some fried rice with pork, shrimp, and chicken. I think this was my favorite of all of the items. I could not stop eating it. They threw in many sauces. It was good for a family dinner, because we got food that most people enjoy. This is not my favorite place at all to eat Chinese food unfortunately. And it sucks because I live so close and want to support it. Their portions are so small and the food is not the best. The fried rice sometimes isn't cooked all the way, the sweet and sour chicken is very bland also. Their sushi is decent and I would order it again. Their service is nice also. This place is very dirty! I ordered sushi for the time. Found out at pick up that this is a Chinese place. They did most of the order in the kitchen but they cut one of the sushi's up front where I could see the work space. The knife he was using had food stuck on it from tip of the handle all the way down. Dried up avocados and what not. It was discussing. I'm throwing the entire order out in the garbage. One of our most frequented take out spots. Haven't really had anything bad from here and the staff is wonderful! We usually get sushi, fried rice, chicken, and appetizers. The general tsos chicken is always a go-to. Their spicy tuna roll is my absolute favorite spicy tuna roll I've ever had and is absolutely stuffed with tuna. The only thing I don't like about their sushi is that some of their rolls with avocado have too much avocado. My friend and I ended up here accidentally, but decided to give it a chance because of the name. I'm crazy about Hunan Beef, so I wanted to see what they had to offer. The Hunan Beef portion from the lunch combo was small and just so-so. I've had better elsewhere. It had hot and lukewarm spots which I found odd. My first thought was "Microwaved but not stirred?" Had I stopped here, they would've gotten 3 stars (with one star due to the kindness of the staff). Then my friend had me try some shrimp tempura and a roll from her bento box. The shrimp tasted fresh, but the tempura batter was strange to me. It seemed more like finely crushed bread crumbs than tempura. I also tried an imitation crab and avocado sushi roll. Big mistake. It tasted fermented and a falling star later we're at 2. Now I'm looking at the egg roll and thinking it's a bit over fried, but still a standard egg roll, so I dig in. Looking back, maybe those were microwave burns? This was actually the worst egg roll I've ever had in my life, no joke. It had an overpowering earthy flavor. I pretty much never get heartburn but I did today. And that's how we got to 1 star. I'm sad to say this, but my nickname for this place is Not-So-Yummy-House. read more

My favorite go to Chinese restaurant (WING HONG) is closed on Mondays and Mrs S wanted spicy hot soup. Choosing yummy house... in dining room is closed and they are operating like COVID is flourishing. Oder and 15 minutes later food. No delay. Unboxing the portions were startling tiny portions, their egg roll was 1/3 the size of a real egg roll. The sweet n sour sauce was a bland goop, no veggies... I ordered the sashimi special, it was very fresh. When I asked if it came with miso soup, she said no. I tried pointing to the menu but she wasnt listening. She brought me the sesame chicken special. It took a while for them to correct it to the sashimi special that I ordered. The place is clean but old and a little run down. I doubt I would choose to come back here. So my husband and I just relocated here from Colorado that has ON POINT Asian food. We decided to try Yummy House and it was quite good. Not the best but good. Sushi was good. Honestly expected it to be way better for as long as we had to wait for Togo. It took almost 45 minutes and we ordered online. When I got to their location, the young lady asked for my information and I'm almost convinced they had not put our order in yet. Well ive been here a few times and figured it was a fluke , but their fried rice is by far the worst I have ever had , it is so bland , and what is up with the funky flavoring in their egg rolls ? The only reason that they are getting 3 stars instead of 1 is because their sesame chicken is the best in the area, and their miso soup is pretty darn good too ... during this pandemic the service has been pretty good here but they need to up their fried rice game and need a new egg roll for my family to return .... for now we will find another chinese place to frequent read more

I stopped in there for a carry-out when I was done running errands and grocery shopping at the Meijer across the way. I got us a Dragon Roll and Hunan Chicken and Shrimp. Very nice workers in there. Food was ready quickly, smelled great. My boyfriend really iiked the Dragon roll, which is one of his favorites. My Hunan dish wasn't really Hunan, but more of a spicy black bean sauce so I was surprised by the taste, but didn't mind it at all. Very fresh and flavorful. Meat was tender, veggies were excellent. I'm surprised this restaurant doesn't have a higher rating. I'm fairly selective when it comes to my sushi, and I absolutely love this restaurant. I've tried many different rolls here, and I've been pleased with them all. I highly recommend the monster roll (I get it with no cream cheese as well). All the sauces pair very nicely with the rolls themselves, and all the ingredients taste pretty fresh. The rolls can get a little pricey, but I don't mind considering the quality. I also really like the ginger salad. Very unique sweet and creamy flavor. The staff is usually pretty friendly and the establishment has a nice sushi bar area you can sit at. Many good sushi rolls! I am giving them 4 STARS because the food is good. I have been here several times and have no complaints at all with any of the meals I or the persons I was with have eaten. Now the negative. I worry that if you simply saw the 4 star you may say " Hmmm, I really identify with the reviews Todd S has posted " and after going there you complaint would be that it is a very small,poorly lit, in a strip mall and sort of dumpy/dirty place. Well I hate writing this but this isn't the first time this had happened but it will for sure be the last. Yummy house is right around the corner from our house, so we frequent them often. Every time we order I know it will be 5-15 min longer then they tell us so I don't even leave the house until the time they tell me it will be ready. I usually still have to wait but like I said maybe 5-15 min. Tonight was on another level. I ordered my food at 5:30 and they said 30 min. I left the house at 6. When I arrived there was line of people waiting to pick up their order. I proceeded to get in line and wait my turn. When it was my turn I went in and paid my bill. They then handed me a pager and told me it would be another 5 min. Ok that's not bad that would put me in the 15 min past the time they quoted me. Well that's not what happened. After waiting another 1/2 hour in the cold I called and asked how much longer. I was told a couple of minutes. Unfortunately they were not correct with the time again. I did not get my food until 7. That was a full hour and half after I ordered. I am ok waiting for an order. I get it it's Friday night things take time but tell your customers the truth. Let them know how long it will take. Every person was waiting that long. It wasn't just me. There were people calling their homes and telling their husbands to give the kids a snack to hold them over. It's just not right. When I got my food I said people aren't happy you are making them wait this long and they didn't care. When I got home the food was cold and mediocre at best. We will never order from this place again. There are other places in the area that is rather give my money to. read more

Always concerned when ordering from a new Chinese place. It was close to our new house so we decided to just grab a few things to try. Ordered crab Rangoon, beef and broccoli, and crispy beef. First two were standard. I'd order again, but very "across the board" average. Hands down the crispy beef was out of this world! Where has this goodness been all my life? Poor roomie was out of luck as we all dove into her order. Craving it like crazy but will make sure to see if they can down a spice a bit. I hope so!
