I visited the new location on Market Street Drive/10th Street for a mani/pedi, and it was a great experience that I can't wait to repeat. The salon is very clean, nicely furnished and decorated. I was seated instantly by a well-mannered, polite young man who adjusted the water temperature and provided a large book of colors with so many selections from which to choose. My nail technician, Avery, was a complete professional who watched closely to make sure I was completely comfortable. She was amazing, kind and thorough, quick and professional; did an amazing job on my nails! I did not see the jelly gel color I was looking for in the book of colors, so she went and got another for me, just the color I wanted. Avery was great, the salon was great, the prices were a little lower than what I expected for the service and quality, and I will share my experience with my friends and family. read more

I will start by saying they got me in as a walk in right away. I only wanted my eyebrows done and they were a little busy so I expected to wait but someone took care of me rather fast. The technician I had kept telling me I needed my lip done. I repeated I only wanted my eyebrows. She kept pressing that my lip was "overgrown". I usually do my own lip at home but I caved and let her do my lip as well. After she was done she didn't even give me a mirror to look at my eyebrows and just walked out. I paid and went to my car and my eyebrows looked awful. they aren't even and very boxy. I feel like she didn't get me a mirror cause she knew they looked bad. I feel like crying cause this was for my birthday and I have a dinner tonight and what am I going to do. I don't recommend this place at all. Out of the two Shangri La locations in Yukon, this one is definitely the preferred location! It is smaller, more intimate, and you never feel rushed. I asked for a refill, and got a simple french manicure with brown polish. I forgot the name of the girl who did my nails, but she was so patient and wonderful to work with. I showed her my inspo picture and she instantly knew what to do. Will definitely be going back to this location. The bigger location at the shopping center with Marshalls doesn't give as great of an experience. I went there asking for the exact same design as this brown french mani I got, but with green instead, and they did not do a good job. It was sloppy and he seemed annoyed when I would ask him to fix some parts that I didn't like. They are so so busy, I think they just churn customers so quickly that the customer experience isn't as nice as the smaller location. Just my opinion! read more

This updated review is for the second location on 10th street in Yukon. I was going there for awhile and quit when every single time I went t wasn't quality work. I haven't been here in ages but split my nail right up to the middle of my nail bed with an knife and needed to get acrylic to stop from ripping it back. The lady didn't wear a mask or anything. She was on her phone quite a bit during the appointment. She didn't listen when asking to make them as short as possible. She didn't push back cuticles but did chop them up without any kind of softening or do a real manicure although I paid extra for it. No lotion, cuticle oil after or neck massage(which the massage isn't a big deal, it usually hurts as they aren't professionals in that area). Now less than a week they look like they have been done for at least two weeks. I had time today and called to see if they could do something and it was said they would charge to fix them. When I said I would go to my normal place if I was going to have to pay to fix their work she said ok that's probably best. I am about quality work as well as professionalism and customer service. I won't be returning here ever which apparently isn't a problem for them. So sad they used to be great but not anymore. There are so many options for salons, please take your business elsewhere. read more

Even though we live in downtown OKC, my friend makes the trip down to Shangri La every time she needs her nails done. I couldn't believe how many chairs there were in the pedicure area!!! They got us in fairly quickly, even though it appeared to be pretty busy and nearing the end of the day. I was very happy since we hadn't booked our appointments and I was really overdue to a pedicure. I was impressed with the little snacks and drinks at each station. None of the salons I visited in Indianapolis had that, even though they may have offered you water or wine. Even better than just snacks, it was Chex Mix! My nail tech did a nice job on my toe nails. The only thing I wish she'd done more of was slough the dry skin off my heels. I thought the option I selected included that, but maybe not? read more

She was talking, loud, and laughing with co-workers(horse playing), her eyes not even focused on my nail & somewhere else while doing nails. I'm frustrated when she walks away to get pieces of stuff, not even telling me a word. She is unprofessional, rude, loud, & very disrespectful. It's unbelievable!!! Be aware!! Shangri La consistently offers the best pedicures for the best prices. I've come here for years, and anytime I stray I find myself comparing them to Shangri la and wishing I had stuck with what I know. The original Shangri la on Garth Brooks just upgraded all of their pedicure chairs, and they are really something. They also began offering Gel-X, which I have really enjoyed. Though it does take longer to apply, it lasts at least twice as long as my former acrylics (usually 4-5 weeks). The shop is clean, and they take reservations for those wanting to avoid lines and waiting. They also offer complimentary drinks, both alcoholic and non. read more

Dropped in today for a quick dip mani. I had never been to this salon before but I was close by and it looked nice so I decided to give it a go and boy I sure am glad I did! The girls at the desk were super sweet and got me set up with picking my color while I waited for a table to open up [the wait was less than 10 mins, on a weekend!!] The place seems to run very efficiently with many nail techs doing both pedicures and manicures. My tech today was Bella. She was very friendly and great to talk to. I was in and out in a little under an hour.. and that was with a soak off and new tips/dip mani + she massaged my shoulders while my top coat dried. She was super quick, but very precise and paid attention to the little details that some techs wouldn't bother to mess with. I have been a customer of Shangri La since their opening a few years ago. After last Friday I promise I WILL NOT be back. I went for a simple manicure and eyebrow wax as usual (in warmer seasons I always get my toes done). I was sat down for the manicure at a work station full of nail dust from previous clients. Eww... but I blew at it to rid the space of the nail dust as well as I could. The nail tech then spread a stained towel that had an entire fake fingernail stuck to the middle of the towel. When I pointed to it she pulled it off and turned the towel over which was no better as this had a brown stain and other bits of stuff stuck to it. She then decided it was time she brought a clean towel so I stayed but, then she brought out the clippers. OMG!! I could see the build up from previous use under the clipper blade. I pointed it out and she knocked off the loose gunk but left them to be used on my nails. The build up was still visible as well as the piles of nail dust from other clients at the work station. It was time for me to leave. I am still so grossed out and can't stop thinking about all the disease, fungus, and filthiness that has taken over this place. I am sadly done forever with Shangri La but felt a need to post my experience to others. Be aware! read more

So....I've always had good experiences here. Until now. I went on 1/2/20 and Jessica did my nails. By Saturday evening 4 of the nails top coat were lifting up and peeling off. On Sunday I went to have my nails redone. When I walked in I told the young man that I wanted my nails redone. He nodded and said yes and had me sign in. I was given a book to pick the color I wanted. I chose the same color I had before and Tracy redid my nails. Before she began I told her this was a redo because of the problem. I was clear it was a redo. She indicated she understood and there was a discussion between she and the gentleman next to her and across the aisle. It was not in English so I don't know what was said. When I was done they charged me $35 saying that they would have repaired it for free. I replied that no one our of 5 people told me that. "Oh sorry". Pay now was the response. When I said if you insist on making me pay for this I won't be back. The young woman simply tossed her head and said "OK" and $35.00 please. Not at all happy. And will not return. read more

My sister wanted a pedicure done and the tech decided to do it on the floor by just changing the color of the polish at the same place where she got her manicure. That is something that we could've have done at home. The techs would be talking to each other across the room and would stop working on my nails just to do so. When I called them how much gel acrylic cost they said $40 but charged me $45. Really the worst nail salon I've been to yet. Never going here again. This place is by far my favorite nail salon! I've been going every 2 weeks for a manicure and pedicure for almost 2 years. My favorite nail tech is MiMi! She is the sweetest and most talented nail person I've ever been too! She can design almost anything. I often times come with photos of nail designs and she always manages to recreate them perfectly. The new location Shangri La Nail Bar off of 10th street is the location I go to. The inside is beautiful and feels so much like a spa. They have ambient lightening and music typically playing. I always leave feeling so relaxed and refreshed. They always provide a snack basket with pop, water and Chex mix complimentary. They also end each pedicure/manicure with a massage.
