At the other car lots I came across cheesy salesman that were super pushy. And that means alot coming from me, I'm in sales! So I was about to give up but decided to stop by Shannon's expecting more high pressure sales tactics. And my experience at Shannon's car lot was just the opposite of the other dealerships. I was greeted by Harvey. I told him I just wanted to look around. And he said OK. That doesn't happen in car sales! I walk the entire lot and noticed their prices are very reasonable. The wanna be mechanic guy said to bring it in it was in there cause of a misfire and smoking badly well he fixed the brakes idk why and alternator for what reason idk cause the battery never died. Symptoms were that the car would stall out and lose power and start smoking and there was a misfire code. Well they cleared the code and fixed nothing that needed to be fixed. Drove off the lot not even 5 miles same thing car starts smoking badly losing power again. Called them and pretty much they said fuck you. Not only was the car paid off they charged me for the work that they did that didnt need to be done. Laughed in my face when i asked about the misfire. Horrific. Should have written this sooner. Two years ago, they sold me a beautiful bug that worked great and had a great price for the mileage. They must have reset the engine light because not an hour after I drove it off the lot, it popped on and caused me endless trouble. Needed a new catalytic converted, the coolant leaked and eventually destroyed the transmission and head gasket. Almost 10k in repairs and cost of car, and I'm absolutely done. Never ever shop here. They make a profit off scamming the living daylights out of people. Why else would they sell a very obviously broken car? There's no way their mechanics missed this. read more

I visited this place today to check out a Subaru Forester I saw online and really liked. I got there, saw the car, and a man named Harvey approached me. He was very kind, and right off the bat told me that this car was in the repairs section, telling me that it had a bad engine they were going to replace. I was shocked. I've NEVER had a salesman be so honest and up front right off the bat. He could've let me drive it, and sold it to me without telling me. He could've taken advantage of the fact that I'm a small, young, Asian woman who knows nothing about cars-but he didn't. He didn't push me to see other vehicles either. I understand how this place and a lot of other dealerships can get bad reviews, because some salesman are lying scum and trick people like me. But it really depends on who you work with. Harvey was very genuine, made me feel comfortable, and the last thing he said to me when he handed me his card was "whenever you're ready, give me a call". If you're interested in buying a car from here, ask for Harvey. It made my day to have met someone so honest who was a car salesman. read more

Never again. I bought a car from them in September. The sun roof cover was broken, and they told me they would fix it as soon as the part came in. Several weeks later I made an appointment to get it dealt with. Their mechanic cancelled because "it might rain". After that, it was a weekly call from this guy putting me on the back burner: "we will do it after Thanksgiving", "I'll call you after Christmas", "sometime in the new year". It's currently April, and I never got called again in the new year. However, we discovered the reason they were messing with the sunroof in the first place after some very heavy rain. The tubes that drain the water from the sunroof were emptying into the carpet on the floor. A fact that they failed to mention. Now I have a broken sun roof and a mold problem. I wouldn't go back here if my life depended on it! read more

I hesitated to write a review because the salesman was nice, but it's important for me do my civilly duty. I purchased a used vehicle from Shannons, the latter part of last year(2019), the outside looked nice, however, thus far I've spent over $2300.00 dollars in repairs. I'm so disappointed in myself..instead of me following my instinct and have the car inspected, I trusted their word and paperwork. I found out that a significant part that they put in the car for repair(mutually agreed upon) was used. Today, now there's coolant leaking. Buy at your own risk. read more

Just keep driving if you are thinking of getting a car from Shannon's Auto Sales. I purchased a car from this dealer in December 2017. I have made 10 payments so far and have been able to drive the car for maybe a month in total, less than 300 miles. I have spent more than I currently owe for the car on repairs and it is still not working. I was told that I was being charged too much for the repairs I had done at a reputable shop and told to bring it back to them and they would fix it and charge me only the parts. That was a month ago. Then they had to take it to another shop to get a part "flashed" so it would work. I thought this was going to be to an actual dealer. When I reached out to them to see how my car was coming along since they had not contacted me, they told me that the starter was out and I needed to get it towed to their shop so they could put the starter in or else it would cost a lot more. It is at a different local repair shop. Meanwhile, the finance guy is texting asking when the next payment is getting there. So here I am arranging for my own vehicle that I did not take to a repair shop to be towed back to Shannon's Auto Sales so that they can continue to work on it. I just wish they would be honest with me. read more

They sold me a car that needed $1500 worth of repairs 2 months after buying it, I was in California at that time and told them I couldn't and wouldn't pay for repairs to it seeing as I shouldn't be responsible for repairs on a vehicle 2 months after I buy it. The only "good" thing they did was to serve their best interest, they had a friend near where I was at come tow the vehicle away for "repairs" and ended up keeping it, and as a "courtesy" to me, they didn't officially repo the vehicle, however, I am now out the $3000 I put as a down payment, they got to keep my car, the payments I made and my down payment and they stranded me in California. LESSON LEARNED. Never buy a car from a dealership without a solid warranty. read more

We went on a referral from someone and both Harvey and Barry were great. They understood exactly what we were looking for and they didn't try to sell us something that we didn't want. We did not do "in house" financing instead they were able to get us "Traditional" financing.
