Our son has taken the car he bought through the sales dept. to the service dept for the required/recommended maintenance and told me how friendly they were. He even talked me up to Brent and ME up to Brent. So there was anticipation on both our parts. I was not disappointed and I trust Brent wasn't either. Brent immediately puts you at ease when you're first standing at the counter. I've never experienced such friendliness and confidence at any other auto dealer service desk, and rarely at any auto repair place. David, who sits next to him, is just as friendly. The oil change and vehicle inspection charge was fair and the turnaround time was quick--1 hour. Brent also had entered on my receipt the recommended service for next time and the estimated cost+tax. Oh, they also rotate tires for free on a specified schedule. This saves me from making a separate appointment at Costco where we bought the tires. Another added bonus. In this day of COVID, my son warned me masks aren't worn at the dealership. Well, I wear mine and I'm fully vaxxed and boosted and simply THRIVING with antibodies. So, I'm good. When I got home, I told my son and my wife that Brent and David were so friendly and conversational that it was like I was taking my car to a couple of friends who run an auto repair shop. THESE are the guys we're bringing our vehicle to for servicing from now on. At some future point they'll be servicing the vehicle we bought from the sales dept.

However, due to their mistake, I have to wait 6-8 weeks for $9,500 to fall off of my loan with the lender and refinance to lower my note to what it should have initially been. Additionally, I've emailed TWICE about the brake pad warnings popping up on my car when I haven't had it two weeks and my dealer warranty is still 3 months. No one has been responding, so my next move is to show up to the dealership. I will not be changing my review to add stars unless my brakes are fixed or someone compensates me for having them fixed elsewhere. Shop here at your own discretion, but heed my warning...there are far better places to go, especially if you are a woman. __________________ OP: I had an extremely long review written out, but it has since expired so I will come back to re-write this at a later date. Gist: Rayvin is great! Finance added $3,500 in charges for "accessories" (car didn't even come with a spare tire much less accessories) and United Care Care ($6,000 undisclosed) onto my contract without showing me beforehand. I had my son with me, so I was a little preoccupied, but the finance employee breezed over paperwork without disclosing line items. I got home and read through my paperwork far more thoroughly and noticed these charges. Now I am responsible for $9,500 I did not consent to and feel like they straight up f*cked me over simply because I did not have my husband with me and was distracted with my child. Predatory behavior.

I recently purchased a used car from Peninsula Subaru, and I want to share a few lessons learned…read morethat may help others navigate the process more confidently. The experience wasn't terrible, but there were several moments that reminded me how important it is to come prepared when buying a used vehicle. First, do your homework before you walk in. Research the market value of the car you're considering--both new and used--and look up the realistic trade‑in range for your current vehicle. Having those numbers in hand made a big difference for us. I would not rely solely on what a salesperson tells you about pricing or trade‑in value. I also asked the salesman some basic questions about the make and model I was considering. I already knew the answers, and unfortunately the information he gave me was incorrect. It would have been far more helpful if he had simply said he wasn't sure. When we were presented with the purchase invoice, my wife and I reviewed it carefully and found a significant error in the dealership's favor. They did correct it once we pointed it out, calling it a "computer error," but it reinforced how important it is to read every line before signing. Another point to be aware of: although the salesman verbally assured us that their service department would "take care of" any issues, the dealership still required us to sign an "as‑is" agreement. That means the verbal reassurance doesn't carry any real weight. In the end, we did purchase the car and received a fair trade‑in value--but only because we came in well‑researched and stayed firm on what we knew to be reasonable. My advice to other buyers is simple: prepare thoroughly, verify everything, and don't hesitate to question or double‑check the details. It can make all the difference in getting a fair deal.

It was a very scary experience and I'm lucky we were able to get off the road safely. My first call was to Haselwood Buick, as I live right next to them and it would have been safest to get my vehicle there and not risk driving in the rain again. They told me they had no appointments for over a month and a half. December 29th, in fact. I even mentioned that I saw safety recall notices online in regards to this and could they please look that up. Nope. Rude and uninterested in helping at all. What????? I called Grey Chevrolet to see if they could look at my car instead, though the drive there would be dangerous because it's much further away. They told me to bring my car right in if I could, as this is a safety hazard. I threw in some Rain X and made it there. There was a bad storm and their power was out so they couldn't do much to help in the moment. James was incredibly kind and refused to let us drive our car back home until they could work on it. He got us a ride home from an employee there and promised to look at our vehicle as soon as their power was back on. He called a couple of hours later. Car fixed!! There was a safety notice out for this exact problem and it was fixed right away and for free, and didn't even involve my extended warranty. I am so grateful that James was willing to look this safety recall up, fix my vehicle and offer such wonderful customer service and genuine concern. I will be back to this service center and will recommend to family and friends. Thank you James!!!!

Does everyone pay $500 or more on diags?…read more Also would be nice if they would be more transparent with where they get their information from. I just wanted the diag to see what was fixable to work on my own truck by myself. They Quoted me over the phone $20,000 in repairs for my 03 Silverado I paid $8000 for. But didn't give me a paper listing any price quote at all. Not trying to be rude but that just sounds ridiculous. Btw all I came in for was a check engine light, oil and coolant leaks and a false engine start. I don't wanna be the guy to leave a bad review but I don't make a lot of money and would at least like to be walked through the process to see if I am actually getting what they want me to pay for. What I would do differently next time; I would call around the local auto repair shops to see if they can give you a real price quote or any sort of explanation as to what they actually offer. Sorry if this comes off rude but I'm just being honest

Before making the decision, I probably asked Anthony more questions than most customers. I went back and forth on what services to get, and he was always patient, never pushy, and took the time to explain the pros and cons so I could make the right decision for us. At no point did I feel pressured to add anything I didn't want. I also spent way too much time trying to decide how dark to go with the tint. Anthony walked me through the different options, explained how the white interior would affect the appearance from the outside, and shared what he had on his own vehicle. In the end, I trusted his recommendation and simply told him to tint it like his car. I'm really glad I did because it turned out exactly the way I was hoping. When we picked up the car, we knew we had made the right choice. The Quicksilver paint looks incredible. The depth and gloss from the ceramic coating really stand out, the PPF installation is practically invisible, and the tint came out perfect. The craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the entire car were outstanding. What impressed me the most was the customer service. Anthony genuinely cares about his work and takes pride in making sure everything is done right. He treated our car with the same care and attention that I would expect if it were his own. If you're looking for PPF, ceramic coating, or window tint in the Tacoma/Puyallup area, I highly recommend OCDetail. We're extremely happy with the results, and I wouldn't hesitate to trust Anthony and his team with another vehicle.
