We were able to be seated immediately. The restaurant was decorated in a festive way. Food was generous, hot and delicious! Service was quick and congenial.

Comfort food, at a reasonable price. Good service, and oh boy, are the portions big enough so that you never leave hungry. I had the everything omelette. Everything indeed. It must've weighed 4 pounds. Probably this was four times as much food as I needed, but I managed to eat it all. Good toast, too. If you are hungry, and you want to eat, and also hang out, this is a great place to do it.

Cozy atmosphere, quick and friendly service. Steak was overcooked (requested medium rare and can't out well done). French toast was made with cinnamon swirl Texas toast- quite the yummy treat! Biscuits and gravy were very flavorful, plenty of sausage and the buttered, grilled biscuits were quite tasty.

This place wasn't bad at all. You can tell it's a neighborhood/locals Cafe since they knew most of the people coming in. The only thing bad about that is that their regulars will get the better treatment in service then you will which doesn't seem right. Like they'll get, faster service, not rushed, and bill after they have finished vs you'll get yours after you just took a bite which I've noticed. Now on to my breakfast. It was tasty I'll tell ya. Portion was average , but my steak which i was surprised was cooked perfectly to my liking, which was medium rare. Most places I've been to tend to cook it a little longer than I like so that was nice. If I had a choice to come here or not again would only be if I was in the neighborhood. But also I only have tried one thing on the menu sooooo.... lol

The baker at Shar'els was keeping these bad boys on the top shelf. They were hard to find in the desert case. It's the 1st time they had made them! I don't have a cardiologist so I'm going to enjoy them. Caramel apple turnovers.

It's rural charm and price amidst the city. Good is comforting and reminiscent of days by gone. I'll be back!

Flat out good food. This is just the way you would prepare it if you were to prepare it at home! Excellent.

So delicious and great service! They have the best country fried steak and eggs Benedict! My favorite breakfast place ever.

Adorable gem! My sister introduced me to this cute shop in Mahtomedi as we were actually heading to…read morethe neighboring shop, 350 Degrees Bakery. The Wild Bean Coffee shop shares a storefront and bathroom with 350 Degrees Bakery so I'd recommend hitting both up if you are in the area as a 2-for-1 adventure. The Wild Bean serves a small variety of breakfast and lunch items along with standard espresso drinks. Similar to many coffee shops, there are rotating seasonal specials. For my breakfast, I opted for the egg sandwich and added cheese, salsa, avocado and sausage. I picked sourdough as the bread. It was the perfect size and came toasted. My sister ordered a turkey panini and it was bigger than the breakfast sandwich and served with potato chips. Our service was extremely kind and considerate which aided to the interior charm. I adored the decorating, small gift shop towards the back, plants and exterior patio seating for warmer weather. For my drink, I ordered a hot chai tea latte and it was perfect. The storefront offers board games and complimentary water. I look forward to returning! Thank you!
