I've here so many tones and am finally writing a review. Although i live nearby i would readily travel across town to have breakfast here. It's honestly that good! The owners work hereand take great pride in using very fresh ingredients. The food has great flavor without being too salty or greasy, The portions are big, yet the price is right. The staff is well trained and most have been there for years. Friendly and out going, they do there best to get your day started out on the right foot. The atmosphere gives a real homey dirty of feeling. Rather than a big room with tables, they have sectioned off an area which resembles a den or library, the only complaint i have is that in the winter it's quite cold by the side door. Ok food. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Hollandaise sauce on it lacked the lemon juice flavor that I crave in Hollandaise sauce, tasted more buttery but not lemony. The food was decent but when it comes to Benedict I am very picky about the Hollandaise sauce. Really its just a preference thing, not a knock on the restaurant. Some might prefer it the other way. Next time will probably try something else. read more

This place is wonderful! Friendly staff, clean and great food. I really like the French Toast. It is a cinnamon based Texas toast and is lovely custardy. I have had the malted waffle which is also really nice. Their prices and reasonable and you sure don't leave hungry. Just don't see how you could go wrong. read more

Breakfast was yummy! Prices are average, but you get a lot for your money. I got the eggs Benedict with American fries, my husband got the country fried steak. He really enjoyed his meal, and mine was decent too but the ham was a little too thick for my taste, still delicious. We also split a cinnamon bun, super sweet and yummy! Wow, what a great find on a Saturday morning! We were in the area, on the hunt for a good breakfast place. This place didn't disappoint at all. From the warm welcome feeling, the cinnabutter rounds, the friendly waitress, and the amazing food! The plates were full and every bite was eaten. Don't get me started on the French toast, the cinnamon jumped right out at you and it was so creamy tasting. The omelet was huge, 3 eggs with ham and American cheese. It's not your typical one fold omelet, this one has folds and folds of thin egg with meat and cheese in every bite. The gravy tasted homemade, not your typical white gravy/sausage combo. It had good chunks of sausage with a not-so-much flour punch to it. It went great with the two eggs. We had not one complaint with breakfast! Just wish we would have taken a picture before we devoured it. We will definitely be back. read more

Sharels is a cute little cafe wedged in the corner of a building right off century. It's a great location, easy to find, and very cute inside. Their food is excellent. I love going there for breakfast. The staff is very friendly and it's a very clean place. You can play games while you're waiting for your food. As a tradition, my fiancee and I will go on occasion breakfast dates and play checkers while we're waiting. :) Highly recommend. read more

Me and a friend had breakfast here today. When the bill was delivered to our table, the server told us that "there's a long line at the counter", meaning that she wanted us to clear out of there. I felt that was rude and put a damper on our experience there. The food was good and always has been, but I was surprised and disappointed by this treatment.' read more

This is a cleverly designed, hometown cafe. The way it's laid out you'd feel you are art home with a library of the dining room. The food is tasty & fresh and the staff friendly. The place is clean and even the bathrooms are well kept. I've been coming here for months and have yet to be disappointed. read more

I'm all in when it comes to greasy spoon cafes, but this spot takes it a little too far to be enjoyable. Uncomfortable, cheap chairs and tables, no flow to the dining table arrangements, and the weakest little bakery ever. Portions are also on the smaller side for what you pay. Fairly certain it's a family run business...our server was a high school kid who looked like he would rather be anywhere than serving us breakfast (and acted like it, too). Mumbled answers, refused to modify any orders, had to flag him down to get a refill on my coffee. Definitely not in a hurry to come back here. First timer but I'll give it a definite 5 stars. The food was very good! I had the breakfast sandwich with sausage and that alone was very filling. Great little diner that I never would have known was there without yelp. My family has gone twice and we plan to go again soon. Prices are reasonable and portions are big. It's pathetic to see some of these reviews. It's almost like people are TRYING to find something wrong to complain about. Here is the facts, it's the best breakfast around, it's cheaper than Perkins and dennys and it's FRESH! Not flash fried, microwaved crap you'd get at other places! If you really don't like our hometown deliciousness, then stay in your lane and keep moving, we don't need your negative crap on our cafe that's been here longer than you've been knee high to a grasshopper! If you can't make it for breakfast, the French dip is something else as well as other menu options!! read more

We've been eating here regularly for about 6 months now. The food is made from scratch comfort food, think spaghetti hotdish, and porcupine meatballs :-) The service is always friendly. They even know how to do an over easy egg, and trust me, I've gotten many upside down sunny side up eggs in my life :-) Nothing fancy, but if you like comfort food, and a laid back local diner experience, it's worth checking out. I only give it 4 stars because I think the soda is a little pricey at $2.50 a glass, but they do free refills. Otherwise, the prices are reasonable. read more

The standout item is American fries that are fried with onions and green peppers. They are excellent. Otherwise, food is generic Perkins-type dishes, heavy on the American cheese and other processed ingredients. Service is good. I have been going there since the place opened up. The owners are nice the wait staff is great the food is awesome and it moves pretty quickly during lunch hour. It is a little hidden gem in our neighborhood but many know about it now. It is a fabulous place to go if you want coziness and good food. My girlfriends and I like to lunch there because it is a comfortable place to hang out. You can't go wrong with this place for sure. Before this incident, this was our go to place for breakfast. Only because of the good food, never because of the service, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Shar'els is the only restaurant that has refused to except a card from my surgeon explaining that I have had a medical procedure done that limits the amount of food I can eat and to please allow me to order a smaller portion or order from the kids menu. Not only was I refused use of this card, the waitress laughed and basically belittled me in front of our large group of people. My family suggests returning to give it another chance but I now suggest other places so that I am able to order according to my doctors orders. read more
