I've been to some seriously good bubble tea shops in the area, so I wasn't sure whether this would still hold up. It did. Sharetea is a bubble tea chain originating in Taiwan, and this shop isn't the first Sharetea which I've tried in SoCal. That said, it's been quite a while since my last visit because I've been enjoying more accessible locations of local chains with selling points such as reusable bottles w/ everchanging artwork or an emphasis on natural ingredients. Actually, I did come here merely due to convenience; I'd just enjoyed lunch in the same plaza. Prices are generally more than reasonable for their drinks, including a variety of regular teas, milk teas, and fruit teas, but I can't blame them for placing a premium on the seasonal Pumpkin Spice Creama ($5.00). I ordered it less sweet (and with less ice), but 80% of something really sweet is still surprisingly sweet - just not "too" sweet. Despite that and despite the lack of one or more components of a typical pumpkin spice mixture, I couldn't help but enjoy it, even if I hated its impact on my waistline. By the way, the creama was really smooth and therefore must've ruined my diet further. A Chris V of yesteryear would've looked into add-ons and would've noticed the mini pearls (+$0.50 per topping). I used to love this size of boba because it's small enough to fit through the standard straw, negating the need for the ubiquitous oversized straw and thereby helping you to sip and enjoy your beverage over a longer period of time. The problem is that I can't find this at most chains, so I've gradually given up / forgotten about the mini pearls. Don't avoid them if you're still into boba! Sharetea seems like a really solid bubble tea option. I'll have to make a note of it next time I'm in the area and explore their regular drinks while reacquainting myself with the mini pearls. read more

I've gotten their milk tea a few times and I always been happy with my orders. I always order their 30% sweet and do it right every time! I can taste the tea and milk flavor fairly well. Other places I have ordered 25-30% sweet level and it taste sooo sweet and know they just simply added the full sugar level. First time visiting this Sharetea location. Service was excellent-- the girl taking our order was so friendly and helpful. I got the Hawaiian fruit tea at 80% sweetness, was still a bit sweet for me. I ended up adding more ice to it when I got home and it was perfect. Next time will prolly get it at 30% sweetness. The Hokkaido milk tea was also a bit sweet even at 80% sweetness, so I think 5"% sweetness would have been better. I think there is only one size (quite large) and both drinks came with a topping for $4.25-4.50 each. Not bad at all, would definitely come back. read more

My family and I loveeee share tea. Ugh how can you not? The drinks are so simple yet so flavorful and strong. I totally recommend the coffee milk tea with a scoop of ice cream and half lychee jelly and half boba. If you're not into coffee, then the classic milk tea with boba and add lychee jelly. My first time actually having Sharetea was when I first went to San Diego with a couple of friends. It was literally love at first sight. When I got back from the trip I was shocked that there was a Sharetea location right in OC all along. One thing why Sharetea is my favorite boba place right now because their drinks are high quality and are not too sweet. I've been to dozens of places before and sweet is good, but once you have it enough times you get extremely sick/bored of it. A couple of drinks I really like right now at Sharetea are... -Peach Green tea w/ lychee jelly -Mango Mint mojito -Thai Pearl Milktea I'm really glad that they're still open during the Covid-19 pandemic because I have the boba cravings all the time. Always have been a fan of this place. Due to the pandemic, I'm glad they are taking precautions to protect their workers and the public. A few weeks ago the lines were outside and people weren't allowed in. That's great but since summer is rapidly approaching, I'm glad we can order inside bc it's going to get hot AF here soon. I like their boba consistency and right now since it's warmer, I'm into their fruit drinks. I usually get peach green tea 0% sugar with lychee jelly. Sooooo good, although I do wish it was even less sweet but it can't be helped bc of the lychee jelly. If you're getting any fruit drinks, I suggest getting your sugar adjusted unless you have a big sweet tooth. read more

Looks like this ordeal isn't gonna end anytime soon so here's the first of many Yelp Reviews: Quarantine Edition! I usually don't review chain boba places, because in this day and age you know what you're gonna get if you're getting brand name milk tea. However, the guy who is in charge of Sharetea Fountain Valley is a gentleman and runs a good ship, so I wanted to give these guys their due! Under normal circumstances this place is packed on weekday afternoons and sometimes all day on weekends. In between La Quinta High School and Fountain Valley High School, with Mile Square Park and golfing next door, people young and old stop by Sharetea for a sweet and refreshing solution to quench their thirst. The drinks here are convenient to order and dependable... I'd imagine that for many non-Asians on this side of Orange County, it's their first taste of boba. My go-to drink here is the winter melon milk tea; some say it tastes like cotton candy, some say it tastes like cereal milk. I like mine with super light ice... it's the best version of winter melon I've had in OC. The staff here is always cheerful and hardworking. Even under the current proscription of maintaining 6 feet of distance, the staff here keeps it light and efficient, even when kids with face masks stop by and buy 4 drinks at a time. Transactions can easily be touch-less, with all of the workers handling your payment with gloves on, so within a few minutes you'll be on your way worry free. Used to come here frequently for their honey green milk tea with mini boba. The honey green milk tea is pretty sweet, so if you don't like sweet, I'd get 50% sweetness. I tried their new green thai tea today and it was also good, but sweet. If you want something more refreshing, I'd get the wintermelon tea with full sweetness. For iced oolong MT ($4 for 24oz?), this is my go to spot. Usually on point, good flavor, fast turnaround, boba fresh but there was also a crowd of kids....o that might help the boba turnover. Hot MT with boba is a problem here tho, they give it to you with a normal coffee supper lid but....boba straw doesn't fit through, nor will the boba ever squeeze out. Hmmm I should invent a hot lid for boba and then I can retire a millionaire! Parking: shared free lot with a bunch load of other shops and Albertsons, never a problem if you're okay frogger-ing through the large lot Decor: plain and odd giant glowing tube sign on the inside wall facing the 22ish seating area square. The absolute BEST Sharetea location I've visited! The Cerritos location used to be my go-to and there is such a stark difference! Location/Parking: this Sharetea is located in a fairly large plaza with an Albertson's, Starbucks, Brodard, and various other restaurants and businesses. There is no shortage of parking though the parking directly in front of the tea shop can get a bit busy. Service: the service is always excellent! I've been to this location at least 30 times and never once received poor service. The staff is friendly and most times our drinks are ready the moment we finish paying. They provide the fastest service in history! Drinks: amazing! They are consistent with their teas and adjustments. You always know what you drink will taste like. read more

For that one review that said this place got no sweetness... I agree!! And it's only at this location (I've been to multiple across Southern California). It's super inconsistent. The first time I came here, my sister got the Oreo ice blended and it straight up tasted like coconut? She really couldn't finish it because she expected something chocolate-y. I got the Honey Green Milk Tea with golden retriever toppings and it was the most bland milk tea I've ever had. Today, my sister and I got one classic black tea and I got the honey green milk tea again just to give it one more chance. It was worse than the first time I got it and absolutely 0 sweetness which is such a bust. As for the classic milk tea, same thing with no sweetness whatsoever. I like Sharetea better than many other boba places, and one great thing about them is that almost every location you go, the staffs are amazing! The line can be really long and can appear intimidating! But if you brave the long line, you will be rewarded! They almost instantly start to make your drinks as you are at the register ordering! This place is one of the few that many times, I have not even had to wait for my drinks after I paid. Finally a Sharetea in the OC area! The drinks here are pretty consistent amongst the chains I've been to, and this place is no different. I had the the kiwi aiyu jelly fruit tea that I always get and it's just as good as the ones I've had before. Pricing is around $4 a drink, which is quite a bit cheaper than many of the SF locations I've been to, which is a nice plus! They made the drink rather quickly and there are plenty people on hand to work on it, which was awesome! read more

Ahh, the one Sharetea in the Orange County that gives good customer service despite it being busy! I came here on a Sunday night because my friends and I just finished eating at Vox Kitchen which I totally recommend eating. I was greeted by someone in glass despite it being busy which of course that does not normally happen in these establishments! I always order one drink and that drink will always be my MVP which is the Okinawa Milk Tea! I kept asking the male cashier to help me find which drink to pick because I always get the Okinawa Milk Tea. After many questions, he still stayed patient despite the amount of customers behind me which went out the door! Okinawa Milk Tea ($4.25)- A Brown Sugar roasted oolong milk tea with boba normally, however I got it with ice cream! This drink is my favorite because it is brown sugar in the drink and I love brown sugar. However this drink they are not able to do less or quarter sweet because it is a "powder drink" which meaning is that they use Okinawa powder which they would have to scoop out so doing less or quarter sweet would not be accurate. I normally get this half sweet because the ice cream will make it really good for me! Overall, despite it being busy, I like how the cashier David (which I found the name after he took my order) kept playing it very cool even though I asked so many questions. He kept his cool and his customer service is on point! I would come back for this Sharetea because this store and the Rosemead Location is able to train their staff well! read more

the mini pearl topping is the main reason why rei gets sharetea. rei is a little girl so the mini pearl topping truly elevates the entire drinking experience. rei's usual order is the classic green milk tea. she appreciates the affordable prices as a lot of other boba places are very expensive so sad rei cries about boba inflation. this time, the tea tasted a little diluted and not as sweet but it still tasted alright. read more

One of my favorite boba shops! My drinks are always made consistently and efficiently. I've never seen this place understaffed and service is great! The interior is spacious with plenty of tables. Boba balls are perfectly chewy and sweetened well, and they give very generous amounts of it! For toppings, I usually order boba, egg pudding, or aloe vera. Since drinks here are on the sweeter side, I always adjust the sweetness level to 80% or less. Okinawa boba milk tea: I ordered it 80% sweet. There is a subtle roasted brown sugar flavor that enhances the drink. Coffee milk tea: There is a nice coffee: milk tea ratio so neither flavor is overpowered. Perfect balance of coffee for a light caffeine fix. Hawaii fruit tea: Half sweet is perfect for me, since their fruity teas are a bit too sweet. There is a blend of various teas and it has fruity bits. QQ happy family milk tea: I actually prefer more tea than toppings, so I could barely taste the drink. If you're a topping person, then go for this. It came with red bean, boba, pudding, and another topping. Whole lemon green tea: A bit too sour for me. I suggest asking for a whole lemon rather than a sliced whole lemon in your drink! The sliced whole lemon made the drink taste like lemon with a hint of green tea. I love this location! They have really good jasmine milk tea for the best price. It's so delicious and inexpensive. The staff is so friendly and happy every time I visit. Their smiles make me smile, so I always tip them $1 when I come. I really enjoy the service and drinks. They make drinks so fast! Literally minimal waiting even if there is a long line.
