    New boba
    Robert Z.

Came here to try a boba shop that's close-ish to the med center area. From what I could tell, it was a pretty quiet, chill spot (at least at night). It's small but seems like a potential spot to work and study if you want to switch it up from coffee shops. I got the new matcha drink with sakura blossom crystal boba. It was mid, not great not bad, a pretty palatable boba drink. They have a pretty large menu though so I'm sure I'll find something else (I've liked their fresh taro milk and ginger milk tea at other locations).

Twas a first time coming to this boba tea place! I got to try fruity one and it was pretty good as one of the staff members recommended me to get it! I got it with 50% sweetness but I could get it with 25% sweetness in my humble opinion We stayed there for a small game night and we had a good time playing card games! Fun place to be and keep up the nice vibe! Cheers

I've tried a lot of boba shops around Houston and other cities and for whatever reason this one fell flat for me. I tried the mango passionfruit tea with aloe vera (one of their top 10 orders). The sweetness at 50% was great and overall it was refreshing. However, the flavor seemed kind of artificial to me and lacking in depth of fresh passionfruit or mango I've experienced at other local shops (and even some chains). There wasn't a lot of aloe in my drink either, which I chalked up to me visiting before they closed (maybe they ran out). It wasn't a bad experience but I've had better. On the plus side, the dining area was super clean and there seemed to be plenty of seating to study or hang with friends. Also note that there is free parking on the sharetea side of the plaza, but the other side requires you to pay via an app. I'll give them another try soon.

Glad to have a sharetea nearby. It's one of my fave boba places. The inside is large and bright. Many tables, which is great. The staff is always friendly. The boba is well made. Drinks come out as expected. Overall, what you would expect from sharetea and similar to others in the city.

Absolutely loved the service here. The staff was amazing and so helpful. She answered all my questions and offered great suggestions. The menu is kinda big but the top 10 are great place to start!

Sharetea is okay. It's not my favorite boba spot but this location is brand spanking new and offered a great grand opening deal. I got the QQ Family Milk Tea and the milk tea itself was mediocre tasting. The toppings though satisfied my boba craving. Thanks!

Got mango passionfruit, too sweet even at 50% for my taste. Boba pearls a letdown, there are better options around. Though, convenient and clean location if you are in Rice Village area.

Sharetea was a perfect spot for a hot Houston summer day. We stopped by and got our drinks relatively quick and the drinks were good. What's even better is the vibes inside Sharetea seemed great. People were meeting up with friends and others were working. Great stuff all around.

There was a decent line on a hot Houston day. They had a variety of options and the host was helpful on deciding. My friends enjoyed their bubble teas and would visit again whenever visiting town next.

I was so excited when I saw that SharedTea was opening within walking distance of home.. but also realized how dangerous this would be to have so many boba options within reach. This place easily became my go-to boba place, compared to the other two options in rice village. They are always quick and consistent, which the other places lack IMO. The place is always clean, plenty of tables if you want to sit and chill, friendly staff who gets your drinks to you asap. No complaints here. The menu is extensive and you are able to customize your sweetness and ice levels as you see fit. Lots of options for toppings, if you're a toppings lover like me! My go-to drink: QQ Happy Family, less ice, 30% sugar! The boba is always chewy and consistently perfect! Such a great addition to rice village!!

Blended to perfection! The best sharetea location in Houston. Typically a brown sugar boba girl but cashier suggested something new.

Grinder's Coffee Bar came up and it was right across the street so I made my way over. I arrived around 1 p.m. on a Wednesday. I parked in their small complimentary lot and made my way inside. Ambiance (3.5/5): Grinder's is basically two spots in one. When you walk in, there's a small counter where you place your order. And a handful of seats. From there, you wan walk into a more spacious second room that houses a CBD shop. And more seating along with the bathroom. I sat at a couch in the CBD area. While weed isn't my thing, if you're into both weed and coffee, that makes for a nice one-two punch for you. There isn't a ton of seating, less so than most coffee shops. Luckily, since it was a weekday, I didn't have any trouble. I wonder if that's different on the weekends. They also have free WiFi if you'd like to linger and work or study. Service (2.5/5): The menu is a little confusing because they have a menu on the counter and a menu on the wall with different items. I didn't see that there was a menu on the counter until I was about to place an order. They also have some beverages in a cooler that aren't on either menu. Not the best set up. Service wasn't terribly friendly either. Food (N/A): Since I just had lunch prior, no food for me. They have a small, but appetizing number of pastries and small bites for sale if you get the munchies (pun intended). Drinks (3.5/5): I'm not a coffee drinker so take this with a grain of salt. When I go to a coffee shop, I like coffee shops that still have a nice selection of teas and juices. Grinder's has a small number of teas that can be made either hot or iced. I went with one, iced, and sweetened with agave (for a surcharge). I liked it and the price was reasonable. They also had a mocktail of sorts that was available on their seasonal menu, although like most mocktails, overpriced. While not really my vibe, if you're a CBD person, Grinder's will be right up your alley. It's a unique spot and located in a great part of town.

The oat latte my friend got was creamy, well balanced and wonderful. We got the eggs, sausage, and cheese taco, chicken gumbo empanada, and the beef empanada and each one was delicious. I…read morefirst learned about Duo through signing up for a pilates class, and I fell in love with the place more through the people and the vibes in the connected coffeehouse. From a chat with the barista, I learned that Duo started because the husband had a love for coffee and the wife had a passion for pilates, so they thought "why not combine the two?" The River Oaks location is the founding store and they have since expanded to a second location as well. The people who work here truly seem happy and are eager to share the stories of their founders, which makes the place even more special. During my visit, I tried the birthday cake latte, which is a seasonal drink, and the flavors were also beyond what I've tried elsewhere. I'm typically not a fan of birthday cake flavored items, but I was feeling adventurous so I told the barista to surprise me with a drink from their menu and that's the flavor they ended up picking for me. When I received the birthday cake latte, I wasn't all that excited but all prejudice fell away after the first sip! I didn't adjust any sugar or ice levels like I typically do for my drinks, yet the drink was just right! Overall, I am just amazed by the people, the vision, and the gem of a place that I sort of happened into on a random weekend. I will definitely be returning again frequently for pilates, lattes, and/or fun conversations. Pro tip: initially it looks like visitors have to use street parking, but I confirmed with the staff that the parking lot across from the coffeehouse is free to use as well. Pro tip #2: there is option to order ahead with the QR code in image attached. I have not tried, but that may help skip the lines and make it easier for drink pickup. Pro tip#3: going for pilates here makes it so much easier to grab a quick bite or drink before/after workout!
