This place is a very cute and cozy spot. The workers were also very nice when we approached to order. The smoothies are a bit pricey in my opinion to not taste super yummy. I had the berry banana burst and it was very underwhelming. The appropriate sweetness was simply just lacking. Please note that I don't like overbearingly sweet things, so this was super odd to me. My sister had the acai banana berry bowl, which she was pleased with. It looked fresh and nice. The last thing to note, which may be the most important thing is that cash is not accepted. This did not impact me in anyway as I never have cash lol but I had (desired would be the appropriate word) to help a mom out who only had cash and wanted to buy a smoothie for her daughter. I really enjoy that product and I like the simplicity of the ingredients here. The employees here are very sweet and efficient and make great suggestions. The drinks have names but I got a smoothie with bananas, strawberries, and cashew milk. It was supposed to have blueberries in it, which I do love, but I just wanted something strawberry banana. No added sugar, it was so good and light and filling! My coworker got a Pink Flamingo which had strawberry, pineapple, Dragon fruit, and coconut water. It looked SCRUMPTIOUS and I can see myself getting that next. It won't be for awhile though because the drinks are pricey and rightfully so but it would be an expensive habit. I stopped in today after getting my wax at Waxing The City on Bellaire. I really love the Bellaire area, there is so much beauty and it's so green and down to earth. I saw a flier for this juicery at WTC so I figured I would check it owt. Wasn't sure what I wanted, I usually go with a green juice, but when I saw a "toxin flush" I figured that I would go for that, especially being that it was a fan favorite. I ordered at the counter, the patron was very nice and explained options to me. My juice was ready in minutes, I could hear him preparing it as soon as my order went in. Let me be the first to say that the juice was a true juice. I'm a juicer, I juice at home religiously and I sometimes venture out for a juice when I'm out and about. I never understand why juices have to be so nasty sometimes, so dark and unbalanced, like drinking a toxic death lava and trying to guzzle it down in 2.3 seconds so as not to explode your uvula from constant contact to the bitterness. This was different. This was a green juice with balance. Spinach and parsley usually aren't bitter offenders but the balance with ginger and lemon brought the drink to perfection. I could eat my juice, move the juice around in my mouth and let my palate explore its green-ness. This is how one should drink a veggie juice. I actually enjoyed the flavors. The lemon picked me up, the ginger misted me, the spinach humbled me. Yeah I'll be back. I really liked my juice. I'll explore more next time. read more

This place has the best açai bowl I have tasted in awhile !!! I went there pretty early in the morning so it wasn't busy. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The ambiance of the place was quite nice and cozy. I got the Açai banana berry bowl for $10.55 (with tax included); if you are allergic to their homemade cashew milk, you can substitute it with coconut water or juice. Also you can add protein and extra toppings for an additional price. The fruit and granola I got on top were fresh and delicious and really made the bowl to be even better !! There are a ton of Nekter Juice Bars in the area but we decided to go to this one cause it was the closest - we ordered online cause we knew how long it takes to make acai bowls. They estimated a 25 minute prep time for pickup. We came about 20 minutes later and still had to wait a good 10-15 mins in store for our acai bowls to be ready. There was 2 people working and maybe 2-3 other customers in the store at the time. I was a bit disappointed it wasn't ready for us per our pre-order. The acai bowls were a good size and delicious - good thick consistency, lots of fruit and toppings! Bf thought it was a bit overpriced - at $40 for 2 acai bowls and a coffee. He didn't think there was much actual coffee in his blended coffee. He had the acai berry bowl - and complained about the amount of fruit and granola in it. He thought there wasn't enough and that they missed his peanut butter that he paid extra for. I had the superfood acai bowl and thought it was fantastic! I come here often after my workouts and the drinks are pretty good and staff is courteous. However, as a person who enjoys the fruit smoothies tremendously, I think the staff needs to pay attention to the cleanliness of the establishment. Every time I come in (about 2x a week), I see dirty tables (even when not busy) and one time I had to use the ladies room and that was the most disgusting sight to behold. I wish I could unsee it. You can tell the staff who are there making the drinks do not believe cleaning up is part of their job description. That aside, the drinks taste good but if they care that little about ensuring the establishment itself looks clean then it does make me start to question cleanliness behind the scenes (I.e. sanitation practices in food area). I would give them a 5 star rating if they would work on this presentation aspect of their facility. read more

Last week as I was picking up my order, I noticed two small roaches walking around on the counter where the spoons/napkins and cinnamon/pepper shakers are kept. If there are roaches on the customer pick up counter by the juicers, I shudder to think about the insect issue around where the food is stored and the counter where the orders are being prepared. This is the first Nékter I had ever visited and it is by far my favorite location. The employees are always very nice and accommodating. Great recommendations and great environment overall. I have tried pretty much everything on the menu and like it all.
