Great boba tea. Is a bit lighter than most other boba tea places that I liked but it has a distinct flavor to make up for that.

I have been waiting to try out this new bubble tea place since before it opened. The shop is not that easy to find because it is in the basement but currently there's a mascot sitting right outside of its door. They only offer drinks of one size, which is equivalent to a large anywhere else. I would say they have a decent selection for people who like milk tea or fruit tea. I had the QQ family one because it had all the toppings I wanted and more. At any other place, it would cost me about $7 for all the toppings I like, but here it just costs the same as any other drink. For those who are not used to having red bean (taste or texture) can simply ask them not to put any in. The staff is friendly and pretty efficient in completing your order. But I would recommend getting your drink to go since there are like only three seats in total. Anyway, I hope they will consider a longer operating hour so I could always come and grab a late night drink after a concert or game. read more

Grabbed tea from here with a friend before walking around the city and wasn't disappointed. It's a bit confusing with all of the options, but they're nice and helpful about it. This is not standard American or English tea, but definitely Asian tea, like bubble tea style for the most part, but with tons of options. I prefer Sharetea more than Kung Fu Tea. Kiwi with jelly 30% less sugar and no ice. I keep mine in the freezer and drink it the following day. So good. Happy Q Tea is pretty good as well. Today, I got the Hawaii tea. read more

I love this adorable boba spot in Chinatown. Look for the sign out front and head downstairs. Service is always insanely fast, the portion size of the cup is great, and prices are fair. They have excellent boba tea! I was sick and was craving some boba tea and walked over to this joint after I saw someone else drinking it a few weeks prior. The black milk tea with boba was great and you can choose your ratio of ice / sugar. I would suggest going with less ice maybe 50%. I'm no boba tea aficionado but the flavor of the black milk tea was delicious, not to sweet, and the boba had a good chew. They put an insane amount of boba, I finished my entire drink and still had about a half inch left at the bottom. read more

This place is pretty good! I had the passion fruit (and mango?) fruit tea with lychee jelly which wasn't too bad. I felt like even at 30% sweetener it was still very sweet, and it doesn't taste fresh or different from many common shops, but it was still nice to have the option. That being said, I am from the west coast, so I could just have different standards. Always been on the lookout for good bubble tea in the DMV area and always ventured out to VA to get stuff better than kung fu, and finally found it conveniently in downtown DC! Yum! Came during the soft opening and got the grapefruit green tea fruit tea, reg ice, no sweetness, plus pearl. It was delicious!! Tastes like fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. Kids got an ice blended mango and mango green tea with pearl and they both loved them too. read more

We worked with Jerry from ShareTea DC to fulfill an order of 100 boba drinks for our wedding guests. Jerry was very quick in responding to our many questions. We had been working with another vendor to provide boba drinks for our guests before we came into contact with Jerry and quickly realized we wasted time not having reached out to ShareTea sooner. Jerry made it easy to fill and prepare our order. ShareTea was even able to box up all the drinks, which was a big relief for us. Our order consisted of 3 different types of drinks: Hawaiian Fruit Tea w/ jelly, Classic Pearl Black Milk Tea, and Classic Black Tea w/ pearls. There was a mix of boba lovers and first time boba drinkers, and it was a huge hit! The Hawaiian Fruit Tea was a crowd favorite and was a perfect refreshing drink for a hot July day. This is probably the most authentic boba place in DC that you will find. Kung fu tea is definitely subpar. The tapioca is fresh and has the right texture. Some of the drinks (like coffee milk tea) have a powdery taste which may be overly sweet and lacks the natural flavor of fresh milk. Down side is that you can't choose the cup size (they only one large size). Highly recommend getting less ice and 50% sweetness. My favorite drink would be the mango green milk tea with egg pudding! :) read more

As a visitor from nyc I was expecting to really enjoy the china town in DC. I was suggested this stop here and I was sadly disappointed. The location is extremely small the line holds up the whole block. I moved to DC from LA about five years ago and I've never really found a good boba spot. I was spoiled in LA, I know.... but I will admit that This is probably as closest to "good" boba as you'll get in DC, with that being said, it's not a 10/10, but decent. For one, ingredients are not always clear, you have to ask a few time before you get a straight answer. I do know it's dairy free although my stomach still makes weird sounds after I drink it lol who knows what powdered stuff their using. The actual bubbles are often hard, like their older than a day or were not cooked all that great. On a brighter side, I appreciate that they ask how much ice and sugar you would like, helpful! The location is conveniently located a few blocks from Chinatown metro. The staff is friendly, the space is clean and tidy. Most times there is a line not because the boba is LIFE CHANGING but because the inside is tiny and can only really fit like 6 people in the waiting area. Wouldn't be lying if I said this is the best boba tea place I've been to in the area so far. Customer service is great and the drinks are all delicious and they're a little pricey but nothing that'll drain your wallet, ranging from 4.50-7$ a drink. My one complaint about this place is the size of the establishment, it's so tiny! Not like a coffee shop where you can sit down and enjoy your beverage, it's a place where you grab and go for sure. But regardless of my opinion on the ambiance of the place, it's never an awful thing to take my tea to go and get to enjoy it while I'm walking around Chinatown. My personal favorite is the classic: black milk tea with normal sweetness. It's so good! Haven't found a place that does this specific drink better, and I'm eager to try to Thai boba :) read more

I LOVE Sharetea! It is my go to boba place in DC. It is FAST, workers are friendly, and the tea is reasonably priced. I love that you can choose your sweetness and ice levels, And I have loved every flavor I have tried! My favorite is the classic black milk tea with pearls. The only downside to this place is it is really small, I wouldn't plan on coming here to sit down and relax with your tea. When I walked in the door the line was all the way to the counter and back. The line moved to the cashier but the line to pick up the drinks never moved. The menu is misleading as the pearls, the quintessential part of the bubble tea is extra on some and not on others and you almost have to ask for every drink if they are included or not. You do have the option to change your sweetness and ice level which is a nice touch. There are 4 staff members behind the counter and all of them seemed busy but no drinks were coming out. It seemed that they didn't have enough tea brewed and had to rebrew and cool almost every tea they had. While I understand they were busy, I think they could benefit from a more conveyor/Starbucks style approach to service. From door to drink in hand it took a little over 30 minutes to get two drinks and the drinks weren't full. I had a lemon tea and they put whole pieces of lemon, which would have been nice had the rind not been rotten looking. The tea was ok, not great and definitely not worth the $10 for two drinks. read more

Came here with my husband while touring DC after seeing some great reviews on yelp. The store is on the lower level and was a little hard to find at first. It is very small with standing room only within the store (no tables to sit). They offered many different types of milk and fruit teas to choose from. I stuck with the classic milk tea. It was so good! We enjoyed walking around the area afterwards too. The Smithsonian Portrait Gallery was on the next block, which is a great place to continue your DC tour. I would definitely recommend this place to others. My only recommendation is that if you are a tourist you may want to go during the day (especially if you have kids) as it seems like it may be a little dangerous at night. read more
