okeeheelee park is a beautiful park, and shark does a great job with the wake park. everything is well kept and the staff are friendly.

We went here for Father's Day at my husband's request. We did the obstacle island and cable park package. We started on the obstacle island and then went to the cable park. My husband had a great time, as did my 11 year old. The cable park was a little difficult for the 11 year-old, but they did have knee boards which are easier for kids. There is a stand that sells food and beverages, including adult beverages. The lifeguards were high school / college kids and they regularly had everyone come off of the adventure island for a few minutes for safety checks. The operators of the cable park were also high schoolers. The lines for the cable park can get long/move slowly. read more

My kids had a blast here! It was our first visit- we attended a birthday party at the obstacle course, and I purchased passes for my other son- the 2 session pass is not much more than the 1 session. I don't understand why they call it sessions, as it is basically 1 hours or 2 hours, but I suppose if you show up late then you don't get a full hour, as the sessions begin on the hour. The parents sat under limited shade in the overlooking bar and patio area. Even though online it says no outside food or drinks are allowed, multiple people having birthday parties brought their own food. Which is great, since the food and beverages they sell onsite are very very limited. Adults and kids run around and jump on the inflatable course. My kids loved it and had an amazing time. I'm glad they have breaks in between the sessions so kids are forced to rest and drink water. I have to say, it was a bit nerve wracking to have my kids basically unsupervised around adult strangers. Adults bouncing around can cause little kids to fly in the air. I think this would be fun for a larger group that knows each other. The 2 onsite employees did little to support the rules- rules like not pushing people off the inflatables, for example. More than 1 time, a group of older kids flipped part of the course over, which was also nerve wracking. I would probably only return on a weekday with my kids instead of a weekend, to avoid being around too many adults during a session. read more

My boyfriend and I came here on a windy Saturday. It was our first time here and we had no issues parking. Because this place is in a park there was no fee. I had a lot of fun for my first time here. I recommend you go early if you want to go around the cable more frequently. As the day went on, it got busier. This is not just for kids. It is fun for anyone of all ages. It could be a little expensive for a large family as it's $40 for two hours at the cable park and $80 all day. Staff members were nice but this place felt disorganized. No one helped you pick out a board, get a helmet, or a life jacket. It's self serve so as first timers we didn't really understand if we helped ourselves or if someone was going to show us. Also, if the lines you wait in get wonky, the staff doesn't care. They're pretty chill but it seems like they need a little more organization to improve their customer service. You do have to sign a waiver before you go out and it's recommended to book online to save money. If you're late they will start your time upon arrival so you can still get your full two hours there. I'd love to come back. You'll fall a million times first but maybe you'll get the hang of it eventually. read more

We had an extremely disappointing experience with this summer camp and would not recommend sending your child here. On the 2nd day, my daughter suffered a black eye while wakeboarding. At no point did anyone from the camp contact us to let us know she had been injured. We only found out when we picked her up, and the only response we received was, "Sorry." As a parent, being notified immediately when your child is injured should be the bare minimum. Despite that, we decided to give the camp a second chance and sent her back the following day. Unfortunately, things got even worse. She was not given lunch because the staff told her she didn't have enough money on her account--even though we had already prepaid for the entire week's lunches and snacks. There is no excuse for denying a child a meal because of an administrative mistake, especially when everything had already been paid for in advance. The lack of communication, organization, and accountability is extremely concerning. It felt like the camp was being run by inexperienced teenagers with very little supervision or training. Parents trust summer camps to keep their children safe, informed, and cared for. Based on our experience, this camp failed on all three. We will not be returning, and I cannot recommend it to other families. read more

I loved it! I just went my first time after being interested since it opened. It took me a couple times to get up, but the attendant was super helpful and supportive. All the other riders were nice too. I was super sore afterwards though, but that's to be expected. It works muscles you forget you have. I'll definitely be back!!! read more

AWESOME!!! This was my first time wakeboarding ever and it was so cool!!! The environment is great, the staff are super friendly, and the park guests are all really nice. I booked online the day before for a 2 hour cable park pass and it was a great deal! When you come in (wear a mask for COVID) and check in. They give you a pass to access the park. Swap your ID for the gear if you are renting, (I got the basic gear package, which includes a helmet, life jacket, and board). Then head to the dock and get ready to ride!! The cable operators were so cool and friendly. I didn't know how to ride and they gave me some advice for getting up and riding. I face planted the first try haha :) but after that I rode around the whole park 2x!! It was a great day, they have 6ft. measurements posted on the dock so u don't get too close. I'm definitely coming back and excited to try the water park next! read more

This was the best unexpected time we had while we were visiting this area. While my nephews were playing in the water park, we decided to hang at the Shark Shack to grab a drink and a snack. Surprisingly, there was a DJ there that was playing some jams! We ordered our drinks and snacks, and the Courtney and Jessica, who worked at the Shack were also an unexpected delight. Their customer service went above and beyond. They had such fin personalities and made our time here soo enjoyable. I would come back to the park just to hang here at the Shack when they're working. This place really is a gem... fun for the kids and adults who hang at the Shark Shack. read more

They should not allow their camp counselors to have their phones at work. I asked my son at pickup after 1 week if I should tip the counselors. He said no. He then went on to explain to me and his buddies that all week he was falling at the turns, and all week no one bothered to help/correct his form. He said it was an easy fix but the teen counselors were ignoring them, except for 2 counselors who only were there monday and tuesday. The other teen counselors were on their phones constantly he said. We paid almost $100 per day. They should not allow their counselors to have phones. read more

We arrived early to get checked in with the front desk. After checking in, we walked to the obstacles course, where the life guards never acknowledged us. We put on life vests and eventually just walked toward the water, unsure of what to do next. The lifeguards still said nothing until I asked if we could go on. She asked the other life guard, who was at the edge of the water, and then proceeded to play us a recording of the rules. Unfortunately, within the first 10 mins, it started to thunder and a siren went off. We all looked up at the lifeguards and they stared at us for 30 seconds before telling us we needed to get out the water. The life guards never said a word to us until about 35 minutes later, when she told us we could return to the water. There was never any convo on when / if we could even go back in. We spent probably 10-15 mins max on the course, we were told to exit because we are on a safety break after 50 mins. We were never in the water more than 15 mins max. As we are getting out, it started to rain heavily. The lifeguards literally grabbed their stuff and left us outside. We grabbed our wet items off the bench and got under a small covered area. We were shocked that once again, they had ignored our existence. Thankfully, we're from Florida so we know all about the weather "mood swings." so we just waited till it slowed and went in the office to get a rain check we won't even be able to use. We saw the lifeguards once again, on their phones just as they were outside with us, toward the back counter. I'm most definitely not somebody who demands amazing customer service or extreme professionalism. But this was INSANE to me! We were all adults so we didn't require much, but I just felt the complete lack of any communication, instruction, or guidance was extreme since we paid $30 a person. read more

I went to the grand opening last Saturday and this place is awesome! It's located in Okeeheelee Park so there's tons of parking. Anyone can come to Shark Wake and watch the people on the cable wake and the inflatable aqua park. While I didn't partake in any of the activities, I did watch. There's a shipping container that's the outdoor bar/restaurant with a top deck. I think the deck would be open to the public on normal days but while I was there, Spred the Dub local reggae band was a playing up there. It's a cool spot for events/artists. The prices didn't seem too bad for the aqua park for the day pass ($50). The cable wake part had lower rates if you bring your own gear. For this area, they have ramps around the course and it was fun to see the wake boarders doing tricks. There's ample seating at the container bar as well as picnic benches along the trail. But you can bring your own chairs and sit and watch from the grass. There's also a little sandy area where families and kids were getting in the water for a dip. All around seems like a cool concept and something different to do with friends or family. read more

This place is awesome. The instructors running the cables are very nice and helpful for anyone who's trying our wakeboarding/knee boarding for the first time. They also have a shack where you can grab food and watch people ride. It's such a fun place to be. Highly recommend it. read more

Shark wake park seemed pretty fun the only things I didn't like about it, was the lake it was on was very deep and dirty there was sooo much sea weed. And the lifeguards weren't paying enough attention to the children there was a child stuck under a obstacle and couldn't get out I had to help the child out and that is the lifeguards job. If you aren't very athletic then it is very hard to get over and around the obstacles. Anyways if you are thinking about going there then enjoy! read more

I hosted a birthday party at the Shark Wake Park. The party did not go off as planned, unfortunately. There was a double booking of party tables and because my party had less participants (2 less), we were asked to host our party at a small round table designed for maybe 6 people. The party coordinator seemed anxious to deliver this news to me but what could we do at the time besides make it work. Once the party was finally wrapping up, the kids were starving. The pizza, which I was kinda shocked to discover was Hungry Howies and not made on site, was over 15 minutes late. The other parties rushed the concession stand and we waited politely as we had already given the server our ticket. When I went to the counter, the server told me hungry howies didn't send my order and they had 3 extra cheese pizzas that they would give me. The servers were very kind and really tried to smooth things over and offered the kids ice creams to make up for it but, I ordered pizza for convenience sake when I set up the birthday party because they only let you order pizza through "them" or they allow you to order chick fil a from royal palm beach (which was so far out of my way). It has been almost 2 weeks and I am still waiting for a refund for the pizza that I prepaid for, but never received. Tracy, the person who set up the party, provided me with excellent, prompt, customer service up until the point of the inconveniences at the party. Because I have had issues, I have had to send multiple follow up communications, that have not been responded to!! The people working at the water park are really nice kids and they seem to know what they're doing. The attendees at the birthday party enjoyed themselves but I am disappointed in the outcome as a host. Who paid money for things they didn't receive. Long story short, bring your kids. Have a day. My boyfriend had a seizure here on the obstacle course, and the staff made it into the best case scenario. They were immediately responsive, caring, and really invested in the situation. Every lifeguard in the park swam to us and I felt very supported. The manager and a few lifeguards even sat with us for about an hour while he regained consciousness, giving us water and making sure he was comfortable. In our short time at the park, we did really love the obstacle course. It was something fun for both kids and adults. I would 100000% recommend this place to anyone- you will be in great hands!! read more

The only reason I am knocking a star off is the staff & lack of information. All the staff we interacted with from the bartender to the lifeguards seemed irritated and frankly were unnecessarily rude and on edge. They could benefit from maybe smiling at costumers or a course in how to politely respond to to someone who is asking you a simple question. After purchasing our tickets and signing our waivers we were left to our own devices. No instructions on what to do next, who to speak to, or where to go. A simple rundown of what to do after leaving all our items in a locker would be appreciated. read more

If I could do less than 1 star, I would. This was my first time coming to this establishment with my son and his friend for a birthday party. There was around 40-50 kids out in the water on the inflatables. (There were several different birthday parties) During this time several kids got hurt due to them jumping on top of each other, holding kids under, pushing, showing, one kid got put in a choke hold. Under the supervision of 1 "supervisor" The other "life guard/ supervisor" was very far away sitting on a chair only checking people's wrist bands as they went in the water. When all this chaos started happening, several parents told the lifeguard in the chair that people are getting hurt and the lifeguards response was there's nothing I can do about it. When asked to contact the manager, he said the manager is somewhere inside and there is one supervisor that's watching the kids. These lifeguards a.k.a. supervisors didn't look over the age of 15. There was an "Assistant General Manager" hanging up life vests when the chaos kept evolving. He hadn't the slightest idea what was going on nor did he look like he cared. When brought to his attention he looked so lost. Lights on but nobody home" type situation. Sad. Long story short a mother called the cops to do further investigation. This establishment is super understaffed. You go to any water park or anything that has to do with water you have several lifeguards on duty. This place is horribly managed. All it takes is for 1 bad thing to happen to someone's son or daughter and this place will be hit with a major lawsuit. If you care about the safety of your children, I would strongly advise you stay far away from this place because they will just watch it happen. read more

So, some pros and cons about this place. Firstly, pay attention to the photos above on Yelp. These show the actual West Palm location. The website shows you a completely different inflatable course that is literally 4xs the size. Some serious false advertising there. Secondly, the lines for the cable park are huge. plan on waiting about 30-45 minutes for each run. Since the average ticket is for a 2hr pass, you can do the math on how much fun you actually get. Lastly, the employees didn't seem to fully understand the equipment, which led to even longer waits. And the lifeguard by the beach of the inflatable course was not even remotely paying attention. Basically, go early or on an off day, not the weekend. and if you have little kids who are on the inflatable course, know that you will not be able to see them at all from shore. read more

Took me about two sessions to ride around the track comfortably, about two weeks to start riding features and about 3 months to pull off a frontside 360. For $25pp you get nearly two hours on the obstacle course, which is challenging and invigorating and located in a freshwater lake so falling in actually feels refreshing! Unless you are local with a season pass don't go. They let season pass holders cut line And deny they are doing it. I took my daughter and got her a full day pass. I watched the same 10 kids go and after they finished they would walk around and cut line and go again. When I said something the girl running the cables looked at the pass holders and said you all will have to wait a second. I'm getting complaints. after I walked off about 15 min after it started again. after 3 hours in line to go a grand total my daughter went 3 times. I counted 4 of the kinds in question They went over 8 times each during the same time fram I went to the mana in my way out with. read more

Horrible experience, overbooked. They book too many people at a time. It takes 30min just to try to ride and if it is your first time you will need at least 15 turns to make it around one lap. That being said I only got four turns to go, paid $45 and couldn't even get up. I suggest ski rixen since it ussaly takes 7min per turn. read more

I never like to leave bad reviews but Just wanted to share that my kids did a week of camp at shark wake water park this week and it was horrible. We couldn't even finish the week out. I emailed them the first day with some concerns my kids came home with and no one even replied. Then I talked to one of the young camp Counselors the next day and he assured me the pushing hitting and obscene language would stop. By Thursday my daughter almost drowned and no counselors or lifeguards were watching. They finally emailed me back about this and completely disregarded my concern and said they were plenty safe, which is completely untrue. They need to be reported to the authorities. They mix the camp kids in with the general public. It is not safe. read more
