I have driven by this park many times, but I didn't realize it was separate from 'the parking lot…read moreof the Marinelife Center.' But, it is its own park, and it stretches from A1A Beach Road to US1! It contains: -a big parking lot that allows access to the beach across the street -a grassy area of pavilions and picnic tables -a pirate playground -the (elusive) entrance to the East side of the Juno Dunes Natural Area, which I wasn't sure actually existed. -a bathroom facility -its own nature trail This parking lot is a decent size with free parking. The pavilion of bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, especially if you are headed to the beach. The picnic tables are calling out for (kid birthday) party use, especially with the beach, playground and marinelife center all in walking distance. I came here specifically for the playground. It is shaped like a pirate ship. It has a sandy bottom. It has some swings also. It is not fenced, but it is set back from the parking lot decently and no where near the roads. I didn't get too involved with the pirate ship (because I perched at the closest bench) but my kids definitely loved it.

People come here to host birthday parties, family gatherings, and cookouts. It's a great venue for sports, exercise, play, or a laid-back weekend afternoon with friends and family. I especially love the peaceful natural setting that attracts local wildlife like this adorable little bunny I found.

Marcus Sandhill Crane Access Park. Commissioner Marcus championed environmental preservation during her nearly three decades in office. In November 2012 the 1.5 acre Sandhill Crane Access Park was renamed Karen T. Marcus Sandhill Crane Access Park to honor commissioner Karen Marcus. Marcus was first elected to the Palm Beach commission in 1984. The park was named in her honor because the commission felt he helped control the development in northern Palm Beach to keep it from becoming overcrowded. In addition to the trail, the park has restrooms, an observation deck, fishing pier, picnic tables and a boat launch onto the C-18 Canal. Sadly I did not see any of my beloved sandhill cranes this trip although there were other birds willing to show off. Whether you are horse back riding, hiking, boating, or just stopping to enjoy nature, this park will allow you to access the best that Florida's Mother Nature has to offer.

One of my husband's grandsons is named Parker so we were curious and took the road north instead of heading to US1. The park is right north/next to the Riker Athletic Campus -- part of the Palm Beach Atlantic College (not FAU). And I don't think most of the families using this park even question how it was named or care. You can google or go to Wikipedia for this information. When we stopped by everything was so vibrantly green -- including a large grassy "sports" area where two guys were practicing their soccer kicks. The park has many amenities -- both a bike and walking path (paved), a children's playground, toilet facilities and a water fountain. The most appealing area to me was the splash pad. There were some interesting trees with a bit of shade. I especially liked that there were picnic tables and benches throughout so parents could watch their kids. The park is open sunrise to sunset. Glad we stopped to check it out.

Kagan, mayor of Juno Beach from 1954 to 1969. Originally from New Jersey, he moved to Juno Beach in 1949 where he worked as a repeal estate developer. Stanley Kagan passed away in 1975. The park is landscaped with trees and an open play space. Amenities at Kagan Park include a children's play structure, half basketball court, exercise equipment, and picnic tables. Across the street is Pelican Lake which has a walking path and gazebo. During my visit the park was busy with people playing basketball and kids climbing on the playground. The park is open everyday from sun up to sun down. Come out for exercise and play.

I'm glad I had a chance to visit this park. Jupiter Community Park is huge. I saw numerous baseball, football, and soccer fields as well as picnic shelters and a playground. The concession stand was not open on Sunday, so I can't say what is available for refreshments. The restrooms were open and were very clean. I saw a park employee circling the park on a golf cart checking the restrooms, fields, and trash cans while the games were being played. Everything was very tidy and clean. The scoreboard at the field where my grandson's baseball game was played was in use during the game. It was fun to see the score and keep up with the game. Two nature trails are available for hiking which would be nice to explore when the weather is cool. This park is a gem for the town of Jupiter.

This a well maintained park perfect is primarily used for team sports. What drew me to the park was the North Jupiter Flatwoods Area. You can find the entrance in Jupiter Community Park. It is a 160 acre natural preserve with two hiking trails where you can see animals and plants in their native environments. The paved trail has been certified as autism friendly. This park has something for everyone. You can participate in team sports or the more solitary pursuits of hiking, bird watching, and photography. No matter what you are into, this along with the other parks of Jupiter, are outstanding.

It's usually not too crowded. This is where we would go to see sea turtles laying eggs. And that continues to this day. It's a great location and a beautiful park.

I loved that it offers so many activities in one place--kayaking, paddleboarding, the beach, picnic areas, a gift shop, and educational exhibits--all at very reasonable prices. Parking was only $5, and the kayak and paddleboard rentals were affordable too. Unfortunately, I happened to visit on a day with an extremely low tide. Paddleboard rentals were suspended, but kayak rentals were still available. The staff did warn us about the low tide and advised us to stay near the edges to avoid getting stuck. However, as someone new to kayaking, I didn't realize just how much the tide would impact the experience. For a large portion of our trip, the water was so shallow that our kayaks constantly got stuck. We had to repeatedly get out and drag them through the water. At times, the water wasn't even ankle deep. I completely understand that the staff can't control the tides, but I honestly wish kayak rentals had also been paused that day because the conditions made it difficult to really enjoy the experience. By the time we finished kayaking, we were exhausted and felt pretty gross from walking through the murky water, so we ended up skipping the beach altogether. Outside of that, the park itself looked lovely. There was a nice picnic area, a cute gift shop, and they even had a rescued sea turtle with a volunteer sharing information about sea turtle conservation, which was a really nice touch. There also appeared to be several educational exhibits throughout the park, although they happened to be closed during our visit. One downside was a pretty unpleasant smell near the gift shop, but I'm guessing that may have also been related to the unusually low tide. Despite my experience, I haven't written the park off. The photos I've seen online make it look absolutely beautiful, and I think we were just unlucky with the timing. I'd definitely consider coming back on a day with higher water levels to give it another chance. It sounds like a great park overall--I just recommend checking the tide conditions before planning to kayak or paddleboard so you can enjoy it at its best.
