HOME RUN!!!!! I…read moreabsolutely cannot rave about this place enough. My 2yo has run the bases of bad cuts from so many different salons. Not their fault, it can't be easy. Cutting a toddlers hair has to be similar to trying to shave warm butter. However, Vivian at castle cuts has mastered it. He came in looking like scoobies bestie, shaggy. By the time Vivian finished her masterpiece, he was a dapper little prince. I can't thank her enough! Her ability to handle him, keep him calm and when he started getting squirrelly she was a pro and knowing just how to zig when he zagged to get his hair perfect. Even more adorable was the crown, sucker and balloon they gave him as he left. I am a new loyal fan and will be back many times over.

After some creative chair turning to get him to turn his head, the whole thing was done. His second cut (unfortunately I don't remember the stylist's name) was also great, and we used the same method, with him on my lap and his face against me. Today, I decided to try putting him in one of the race car chairs again, and this time he loved it. The only hard part was his constant moving and wiggling, but Desirae had no problem getting his hair buzzed anyway, and even managed to use different lengths and blending to give him a cute cut while he wiggled away! Also good to note - we needed her to mask up because we live in a multigenerational household, and one of our family members is immunocompromised. She was awesome about it, and also mentioned that on the online reservation form there's a place to request that, so she'll be masked when we come in. I feel so lucky that we live near such a great kids salon!

When I had my first appointment my hair had a lot of over texturizing done, layers not laying right, and my perimeter making me feel flat. I used to have curly hair and we were both curious if that was still the case. She spent extra time styling me in a way that could help both of us understand my hair better.
